The hotel is just opposite the train station, with convenient transportation. It is a cooperative hotel for ANDRE RIEU performance. The lobby manager enthusiastically presented the cloth bags for the performance (which also served as cushions). The room is large, and the hotel has a long history but the internal facilities are well maintained.

Staff very friendly and the hotel provides a very good breakfast to cater for everyone. The rooms are specious, quite basic with a very comfortable bed but do the job. The main criticism is that people coming in at night often speak very loud or are using video calls. The corridors and walls are thin and noise echos. It can be difficult to sleep but once things settle, you sleep well. I think it is a little overpriced for what it is. Other than this, a good place to stay.

Parking nearby is very expensive, and then the staff told us a not so close 10 Euro a day, the parking price is very cheap, 40 Euros for children with children, hmm, the city is very beautiful, the hotel location is also very good, far from the city center very convenient

Wij hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Wij hadden een normale kamer geboekt maar tot onze verbazing mochten we verblijven in de junior suite welke voorzien was van alle gemakken. Vanuit hotel liep je zowat de markt op wat erg gezellig was met de barretjes en restaurants. Ontbijt in hotel was ook prima. Het is inderdaad wat gehorig maar dat is echt enige puntje van kritiek.

Very strange room layout, from door to the window is bed, wash area and desk. If the bed and wash area are exchanged their place it would be better. The best things are it’s good location, very close to Maastricht Station by 3 minutes walk away, and the good service from staff at reception, in particular Andre’ ( if I remember correctly the young man with golden curly hair). No slippers, but can borrow adapters and 2 bottles of water are provided in room.

The front desk staff were very helpful. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom, and an outstanding breakfast. The hotel has a lovely view of the canal from the dining room. Parking is available with access to the hotel, just ask the front desk team how to get there.

For the relatively cheap price this was an excellent one night stay in a superior double room. Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows, good seating, easy car parking (should be free), friendly and efficient service. We had a meal in the restaurant - the drinks and food came super quick and dinner was very tasty (fish n chips). The waiter / chef was awesome - friendly, efficient, professional, quick, multi tasker and well presented. Only one issue with our stay - we had to run the shower for about 5 or more minutes before it got to the right temperature - pressure wasn’t that great.

A beautiful building had a great and royal economic room, good shower facilities, staff at the reception were present, asked for a water cooker and immediately asked if we wanted cups and tea bags. We could be equipped with the Dutch Mountain Trail from here again.

The hotel is a two-minute walk from the long-distance railway station. The bus terminal is also on the side of the railway station and the traffic is very convenient. The hotel room is not big, but neat and clean, and there is a clean room every day. The hotel provides free coffee, tea and hot water throughout the day. Breakfast is simple and hot and cold food is available. The hotel is self-check in, but the staff will help. The disadvantage is that there is no restaurant in the hotel to provide catering services. The hotel is quiet and it is recommended to stay for two to three days.

This small hotel has a perfect location, in an old house facing the river Maas, in the most picturesque part of the historic center, near charming shops and restaurants. It’s clean. The rooms are modern, minimalist but well thought out. No breakfast, no coffee makings in the room, no drawers or shelves, certainly no safe, hair dryer only on request from the front desk- it’s not luxe, and a bit of a challenge for older travelers. I didn’t find the staff rude- egalitarian, perhaps- brusque when dealing with complaining, entitled guests but otherwise friendly and very helpful. They were young and cool enough that we actually took their restaurant suggestions.

The hotel is located close to Venlo so it is perfect for a real carnaval experience. It's cozy and it looks like a modern castle. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend having the dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

Wonderful new hotel in the heart of the old town! Check In is over the counter in the bar. You immediately feel at home. The ambience is excellent - industrial style with plant carpet on the wall. The rooms are modern and new, the beds wonderful! At night you can enter the hotel through the side entrance. Very friendly, wonderful and professional staff. As a bonus there were free croissants and coffee, tea and drinks for breakfast in the cafe. We parked our car in the street nearby (parking meter) but there are plenty of other parking garages nearby. Would definately recommend and we would stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice quiet location in forest but not so fare from City center. For traveling you can hire bicycle at reception. Great smiling stuff, very worm approach. Great Breakfast, focused to save environment. Nice swimming pool and sauna.

I stayed at Theaterhotel Venlo during Carnival for one night. The room was good, the indoor parking average (a bit narrow and expensive (15,00 EUR for 24 hours)). But the breakfast service was very weak! The personnel - three ladies - did not care pretty much about the buffet (bread rolls and scrumbled eggs were empty) but the guest has to ask to fill it up although there were many guests in the breakfast room. Besides you have to go to breakfast bar to ask for hot tea, coffee etc. as nobody from the personnel felt responsible to go to the guest's table to ask whether hot tea, coffee etc. is wished. The same with dirty plates on tables. Nobody of personnel cleaned it up. For 100,00 EUR for one night including breakfast - single occupancy - in such medium-sized city of Venlo I can expect proactive and attentive guest service! Probably I do not recommend Theaterhotel Venlo. P.S.: In the breakfast room it is very drafty as it there isn't any doors and it is part of the huge entrance lobby of theater of Venlo. So not very cozy there!

Ik kwam laat aan en dat is hier gelukkig geen probleem. De parkeerplaats achter is vrij toegankelijk, de slagboom staat altijd open. Gelukkig is er rekening gehouden met EV’s en kun je hier laden (als er geen brandstof auto’s op de plekken staan) Er is 24 uur per dag iemand die de receptie beheert en het personeel is erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Bij inchecken valt al op dat het al wat jaren niet meer meegegaan is met de tijd. Je krijgt hier nog ouderwets een sleutel van de kamer. De kamer was bij binnenkomst warm, helaas geen airco maar een kleine ventilator en ramen die je kunt openen. De kamer is krap en het bed is in een hoekje gedrukt. Meubilair is erg ouderwets. Er is geen voorziening voor koffie of thee. Tapijt en muren zitten vol vlekken. Onder het bed en achter de tv is al jaren geen stofdoek meer geweest. De badkamer is ruim genoeg met een basis wastafel, grote spiegel, wc en douche met de kleinste douchekop die ik ooit gezien heb. De tegelvloeren zijn bruin en beschimmeld, het plafond bladert af. Ik denk dat het dragen van slippers zeker aan te raden is. Het bed is ok, deken is te dik voor de tijd van het jaar, zeker in een kamer zonder airco. ‘s ochtends als het hotel ontwaakt valt op dat het erg gehorig is. Uitslapen kun je wel vergeten. Het ontbijt voorziet in alle basisbehoeften maar is zeker niet speciaal te noemen. ‘s avonds besloten te gaan eten in het restaurant. Hier ziet alles er wel goed uit en geeft het oude interieur sfeer. Het personeel is wederom erg vriendelijk. Het eten was erg goed, een lekkere amuse en brood vooraf. Hoofdgerecht was erg lekker en naar wens. Wat opvalt is de prijs van de gerechten, qua kwaliteit kun je zeggen dat het eerlijk is maar als onderdeel van het hotel is het restaurant te duur. Bij terugkomst op de kamer bleek de afzuiging van het restaurant vol te loeien. Erg vervelend in vele kamers. Gelukkig geen geuroverlast. Al met al was het verblijf prima maar laat de staat waar de kamers in verkeren ernstig te wensen over. Ik geef dit hotel een krappe voldoende voornamelijk om het goede eten en het uiterst vriendelijke personeel.

We required 3 beds so were in the older part rooms not as nice as the new ones , no iron, ironing board (i had to ask the reception for one) 5 hangers for 3 people again I had to ask for more, the safe was not wokring again maintenance had to come and add new batteries. nice food and plenty of choice for breakfast, easy parking. Bad parts The barman is very abrupt and quite rude seems he doesn't enjoy his job, he was the same last year. We checked in fine for a 4 night stay with breakfast for only 3 mornings as per our booking as unsure what time we were leaving on the last morning, when we went for breakfast it appeared the receptionist had removed all our breakfast so miscommunication, to be met by again quite a rude/abrupt receptionist who did not appolgise once for the error of the staff and tried to blame it on us. The icing on the cake was sadly my daughter beats earphones were stolen from the room, we were out all weekend so had no use for them only for travel home which is when she noticed they had been removed from her bag. JUST BEWARE TO TAKE ANY VALUABLES WITH YOU AS THIS HAS BEEN EXTREMLEY UPSETTING THAT STAFF DO THIS, HAD WE OF KNOWN WE COULD OF PUT A TRACKER ON THEM THIS WOULD BE THE PROOF, HOTEL OFFER NO CCTV AND JUST SAY THEY HAVEN'T BEEN FOUND.

This hotel service is very garbage. When I stayed at the hotel, I asked what time for breakfast. We booked at nine o'clock. At nine o'clock, we went to the restaurant and said that the front desk reported us at eight o'clock. We had to add quilts in the European winter room. They said they didn't provide it. We logged in to their website to persuade them to have this service. They just gave the quilt. After taking a shower in the morning, I couldn't find the hair dryer. The front desk asked me to go to the front desk to pick it up. ***Speechless. When I check out, I have to pay the room fee (I have already paid online for the booking on Trip.com, I need to pay 4.7 Euro City Fee). Was in the area for a wedding, and the hotel we originally booked closed down, so we last min had to change to this hotel. They accommodated us perfectly. our room had a great view. The shower and toilet were set up like locker room stalls which i guess is the purpose of this hotel, and not for wedding type guests. The service at the restaurant and bar were amazing! very friendly and helpful.
