Good location as always. Closed to Jonker Street and other tourist area. Close to mahtoka if you want to do shopping. No bathtub. Has high floor. Can view sunset at top floor if the sky is clear. Gym closes at 830pm though, not 24h, and is not linked with sheltered walkway to the hotel lift. Pool close at 730pm
It’s right beside Mahkota Medical Centre and right next to the pickup point at Hatten Hotel where the coach stops. Great location!
Room is clean and nice except the aircon is centralised air conditioning and cannot adjust the temperature. Room is rather warm (around 26 degrees). Requested for a standing fan but it’s not available.
Many eateries near the hotel that you can explore
Hotel is ok but doesn’t feel that it is a 4star hotel. Room is ok but aircond is so so and not that cold. Toilet is ok and clean. Overall is ok and acceptable but for the price of RM450 per night is a bit on the high side considering the location is far from Jonker Street. Buffet breakfast was great actually, many choices.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated right next to the main road. The surrounding area offers a variety of pleasant and affordable dining options.
Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance to the riverside, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. The scenic views of the historic shop houses make for a therapeutic and picturesque experience.

Beautiful staycation. Have been wanted to try this classic and the oldest hotel in Malacca for so long and my husband decided to stay here for me and my son’s birthday this year. Very good location literally 5 minutes away from all the attractions, 5 minutes to Jonker Walk & museums. The services also very impressive. They provided small yummy chocolate cake and deco for our birthdays inside the room. My husband also got assisted with his wheelchair as he was just one week post op. Breakfast were ala carte style but you can have unlimited orders. Malacca curry noodles was yummy! Swim pool also simple but super nice my kids love it. The room deco was classic and everything was perfect! Had a great staycation here and even recommended it to our family members. Thank you Majestic Malacca for our beautiful family staycation 😊

I recently stayed at Hotel Tamara Melaka for 3 days and 2 nights. While the hotel looked new, clean, and modern from the outside and the lobby area was quite stylish and spacious. Unfortunately, my stay didn’t go entirely smoothly.
🚪 Check-In & First Impressions
The check-in process was fine, and the hotel interior looked polished, with a clean reception area and bright decor. The staff were polite and attentive, which I appreciated.
🚽 The Main Issue: Toilet Smell
However, the biggest issue during my stay was the unpleasant smell coming from the toilet in our initial room. I reported it to the front desk, and they quickly sent housekeeping to clean it thoroughly, which I appreciated. Sadly, even after cleaning, the smell returned later that evening when we came back from dinner.
We requested a room change, but the hotel was fully booked that night. The only available option was a twin bed room, which wasn’t ideal, but we had no choice as the toilet smell was really unbearable. Thankfully, the second room was much better. Clean, no odor, and everything worked as expected. I’m glad the hotel team managed to accommodate our request despite being full.
👍 What I Liked:
• Beautiful, modern lobby and common areas
• Quick response from staff when I raised the issue
• Second room was clean and comfortable
• Nice touches like bright flowers and a decorative trishaw in the lobby
👎 What Could Be Improved:
• First room had serious plumbing/sanitation issues
• It took a room change to solve the problem
• Twin bed instead of a king, not ideal, but understandable due to availability
⭐ Final Thoughts:
Overall, this was not the most pleasant hotel stay due to the room issue. However, I do give credit to the staff for trying their best to help. If maintenance improves and the rooms are better checked before guests arrive, the hotel has good potential.
Rating: 6.5/10
I might consider staying again, but only if I’m assured of a properly maintained room.

I stayed at this hotel again last week and it was another great experience. The room is very spacious and comfortable, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The price is reasonable, the hotel is located right by the main road, and the design is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended for both comfort and value.
New and clean hotel with EV charging stations. Hotel room is facing the sea, room has big beds for families. Highly recommended if don't mind driving a bit further for food and stuffs.
Value for money hotel.
Excellent room cleanness.
However the wifi connection platform is very poorly designed. After logged in with user name and password, your devices will auto logout after few minutes. You must keep typing in user name and password again and again. All my 5 devices had similar problems so issue not related to device.

SSee HweeBest best option if you are travelling with family. A stone throw away from all the hype at jonker street. Ibis hotel welcomed us with a nice hotel fragrance and the helpful and friendly staff added a lot of value to our entrance.
We were wow by the room's amenities with impressive space and tip top condition. Room is housekeep to a topnotch level. Reallu loving the space and what's even better is that the room comes with bolster! I couldn't never find a hotel that offers that. We felt reluctant to leave as we only stayed a night and slept through the night like a baby. If I were to come back, hotel ibis will definitely be my choice!

WWYChongGreat Stay with Excellent Location and Room Comfort, Minor Service Improvement Needed
I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience.
What I loved:
• Location: The hotel is in a great spot—just a 10-minute walk to Jonker Street, which made exploring Melaka’s heritage and food scene really convenient.
• Room: Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The added sofa bed made it perfect for a small family like ours.
• Breakfast: There was a wide variety at the breakfast buffet, and the pricing for additional guests was reasonable.
• Swimming Pool: The pool area is a standout feature—there’s a large main pool with a depth of 2.7m, great for proper swimming. There’s also a smaller pool on the side designed for younger kids, complete with two small slides. Perfect for families.
• Service: The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and very helpful throughout our stay.
Room for Improvement:
As a Dusit member, I was entitled to a 15% discount on all dining at the hotel. Unfortunately, the restaurant staff didn’t check if I was a member before charging the extra guest breakfast, nor did they ask for the age of the extra guest—instead, the full adult price was charged by default. Due to these oversights, I had to go through a refund and recharging process which took nearly an hour to resolve.
With a bit more attentiveness on member benefits and guest details, this would have been a near-perfect stay. Still, I would recommend the hotel and would consider returning.
AAlvinOngThis is our 2nd time staying in this hotel. It’s a building by itself with own compound. Ample parking space. It is build beside a cruise ship jetty(not sure if it’s in operation). Room is big, have all the amenities needed. Hair dryer, tooth brush, shampoo etc. The shampoo is Dove brand which is good as it has moisturizer. Bed is super big and comfortable, water pressure is good and air conditioning is not noisy. We had a good night sleep here. A few POI are walkable. Jonker street will be a little far (about 20 mins easy walk). Opposite is a shopping center. Overall is a good hotel to stay.
RReno C.New and clean hotel with EV charging stations. Hotel room is facing the sea, room has big beds for families. Highly recommended if don't mind driving a bit further for food and stuffs.
