Amazing
Rremi666666The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance, and the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal are all just a minute's walk away. There's also a bakery in the hotel with a good reputation, though guests no longer get discounts. From the breakfast area on the first floor, you can see the queue at the ferry terminal. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced.
HHappy Kiki TravelThis hotel gave me a very big surprise, no matter the environment, service, facilities and food are super standard, the favorite is that its hot spring facilities are large and comfortable, there are flower hot springs, all-you-can-drink Japanese wine, are extraordinary experiences, very recommended!
AAnonymous UserIt is at a very convenient location near Takamatsu Port, JR station and Kotoden station, so it is a good starting point for attractions around Kagawa prefecture.
There are restaurants nearby but supermarkets are somehow a bit far away.
Independent socket, lighting and curtains are available to provide privacy for dorm bed users.
Temperature in the dorm room was ok but the toilet was a bit cold in early morning.
MM57482****This was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday.
**Environment:** The location is excellent. You can catch the airport shuttle right outside.
**Facilities:** The room was quite spacious. We had no problem at all opening up two large suitcases. I'm glad we stayed here on our last day.
SShuimumu1008Very satisfied, the room is clean and spacious, with a small balcony where you can watch the sunset. There are not many options on Naoshima, and I highly recommend this one. It's about 10 minutes away from the pier, and there are signs along the way, but it's a bit hard to push the luggage uphill. There is only one 7-star hotel on the entire island, and it's about 13 minutes from the hotel. Basically, dinner is solved at convenience stores. I personally recommend taking the island bus for sightseeing, which costs 100 yen per time. Bicycles are very difficult to ride, and there are many uphill roads. If you are not very physically fit, it is not recommended to ride a bicycle.
GGuest UserHard to truly review this property as we checked in but didn't stay. We were under the impression that we had booked the Hotel rather than the Inn - it can be confusing as they have nearly identical names. Judging by the lobby and location of the Inn, we did not feel that it was up to our standards. Thus, we immediately checked out and booked the Hotel instead for our stay. Unfortunately, at the point our prepayment was non-refundable. This was ultimately our fault, but please be advised to make sure that you would like to stay at the Inn (a more business stay lodging) rather than the Hotel (a more traditional full service lodging).
AAnonymous UserThis 400-year-old onsen ryokan is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is definitely superb, and all drinks in the mini-bar are complimentary. Taking the path behind the ryokan to Konpira-san offers a unique and scenic experience, and the complimentary hiking poles at the entrance are a nice touch. However, I have to complain about the room facilities. The curtains were too sheer, making the entire room very bright in the morning. It seemed like they should have been blackout curtains, but they were faulty and couldn't be pulled down. After a long journey, I was hoping to get some good rest, but the bright curtains made it impossible – instead of waking up with the roosters, I woke up with the light! The food portions were very small, and there wasn't much variety. People with a big appetite would definitely not be full, and even those with a smaller appetite might struggle. Personally, I felt the freshness of the food was a bit lacking, and the kitchen's exhaust system was poor, as I could smell cooking fumes in the room.
HhontravelThe hostel is convenient within 5 minutes walk from Kawaramachi Station.
(Because the railway passes in front of the dormitory, the noise of the train from the first car to the last car will continue to be heard, so please avoid sensitive people) there is an izakaya next to the dormitory, and there is a convenience store for Lawson.
In the dormitory, the staff provide free ice cream during the working hours, please refer to it.
When I went, there was a Korean staff, so it was easy to ask and receive guidance. The dormitory is separated from the mixed room for women, but the noise is all heard.
There's a circle inside the dormitory private bed.
The outlet has a basic two-ball outlet on the wall.
The temperature inside the room was comfortable and the shower booth was also good and the water pressure was good and I used it without any difficulty. Basically, one towel is provided and in the shower room
Body shower, shampoo and conditioner are available, and other amenities can be brought with you or purchased for a fee.
I found a place near the airport bus on the last day of my trip after my trip to the suburbs.
GGuest UserLocated in the heart of the bustling commercial district, the hotel boasts elegant Art Deco decor. The front desk staff who checked me in spoke English, and interestingly, on my check-out day, both front desk agents spoke Chinese. The room's furniture and lighting subtly exuded an old-money aesthetic, feeling natural and effortlessly sophisticated.
