A traditional Japanese hotspring resort with excellent view and great breakfast. Staff are polite and friendly. The public hotspring has a wonderful view.
The twin room was quite spacious, with two 1.2-meter-wide single beds and enough space in between to get out of bed easily. On the other side, I could open my 30-inch suitcase. The price of around 1,000 RMB during the winter holiday, including breakfast, was acceptable. I think Ctrip had a package without breakfast for 600-700 RMB per night. However, those packages need to be booked in advance, which isn't suitable for a traveler like me who needs flexibility. One thing to note is that the duvet didn't have a cover, it was just a sheet over the duvet. It felt unhygienic (because the exposed part was the duvet itself, which isn't changed) and wasn't very comfortable. I was quite bothered by it, but since I was traveling with a child, it wasn't convenient to switch hotels. The heating was very strong, almost too hot for the duvet. The breakfast on the first floor was plentiful, mainly Asian-style.
Beautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.
For a Japanese hotel, the room size is quite spacious. The location is excellent and very convenient, with a subway station right at the entrance and the airport shuttle stop directly across the street. The outdoor scenery is also beautiful, with a large park perfect for taking photos and playing in the snow.
An absolutely amazing hotel!! It's located directly opposite the JR station, which is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly convenient!!! The surrounding amenities are super handy, and the room was spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable, and warm. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Japan. Plus, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, especially the crab roe which was incredibly sweet and fresh. I genuinely love this hotel, highly recommend it!
The hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to JR station and within walking distance. It's right by the sea, with a seafood market just below, which makes breakfast convenient. There's also a convenience store nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and offer beautiful sea views from the windows. The front desk service is great. My favorite part was the public indoor and outdoor onsen on the upper floor of the hotel, where you can soak while enjoying the sea view. Even the lounge area offers sea views – it's fantastic! Highly recommend this place! 👍
The hotel is quite large, with several buildings. Upon check-in, the front desk staff explained everything, and we stayed in the South Wing. We checked in after 2 PM, took a short break, and then went for a hot spring bath. It's a nude onsen, so before entering, you grab a hand towel and bath towel, then store your phone and the bath towel. There are many pools with different functions, including outdoor hot spring pools.
When we returned from dinner, the staff had already turned down the beds. If you exit the hotel and turn right, Hell Valley is about a five-minute walk. Turning left, you can take a cable car to the Bear Ranch, also about five minutes away. There are quite a few restaurants near the hotel, but most of them close by 3 or 4 PM. Overall, it was a good experience.
An absolutely perfect experience! This hotel, built in 1934, is nearly a century old and exudes a profound sense of history with its distinctive Japanese-Western old money charm. The lobby and public areas are understated yet sophisticated, with exquisite attention to detail. The room was impeccably maintained and felt brand new, not at all dated. Even the bathroom facilities, like the drainage and ventilation, were modern and completely odor-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, showcasing traditional Japanese hospitality at every turn. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned a large Hollywood Twin room in the East Wing – a spacious 40 square meters, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two snowboards with plenty of room to spare. A delightful surprise at night was catching a glimpse of Sapporo Tower from our window. The twinkling tower lights paired with falling snowflakes created a truly romantic scene. The breakfast was excellent, easily on par with some of the best hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido, offering everything you could want. A special shout-out to the apple pie for dessert – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay. We hope to visit again someday!
The room was quite clean, and while the facilities were a bit old, I was prepared for that. Room service was very prompt, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and kind, granting us a late checkout until 12 PM. The complimentary water they sent was a generous touch. However, the humidifier was really ineffective; it didn't increase the humidity and only blew out hot air. I hope they can replace it. I can't comment on breakfast as it wasn't included. The hotel is very close to the JR station and conveniently located next to two department stores, making dining easy. Since the hotel is quite old, it's a good option for a transit stay. When we left, a young lady at the entrance helped us call a taxi, and her attitude was excellent. If they could renovate the hardware, this hotel would be perfect.
Traveled with friends and we were very happy with the hotel; it was conveniently located for getting everywhere. Hakodate's million-dollar night view is definitely worth seeing. The hotel is also very close to Hakodate Station, and the onsen was great – a really comfortable stay.

MM741967****My experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Sapporo exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to Odori Park and Susukino commercial district, making sightseeing and shopping incredibly convenient. The rooms are modernly designed with expansive views, and the bedding comfort is top-notch. The front desk staff are fluent in English and proactively offered maps and transportation advice, providing thoughtful and professional service. The breakfast selection is extensive, featuring both Japanese and Western options. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is an ideal choice for an efficient and comfortable stay. I'll definitely be back.
GGuest UserWe had a really fantastic time at Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort which was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The area is beautiful and the spa has everything you need for a fantastic and relaxing stay. We stayed in a Premier Suite and the rooms are fantastic - fully equipped and spacious with all amenities, and a fantastic private Onsen to relax in.The staff at the spa were extremely friendly and helpful, and attentive to all of our needs. We'd love to come back some time and would highly recommend!
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Hakodate JR Station, making it easy to reach attractions by bus or tram. They also offer a free shuttle service to Goryokaku and the Red Brick Warehouses. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The room size was decent, and there's a communal water dispenser, plus you can boil water in your room. The onsen (hot spring) bath is quite unique with its yellowish-brown water, and the outdoor bath is excellent. Another highlight is the second-floor common area, which features information about Hakodate's historical sites. It's a great spot for friends to gather for tea or to relax after a hot spring soak. There's even an outdoor heater. Breakfast offers a good selection of seafood, and despite being busy, it was well-organized.
AAnonymous UserAn absolutely worthwhile night! The private onsen was high quality and the hotel offered great privacy. Both meals we had were delicious, and the service was excellent. The scenery was breathtaking. It was one of those places you never want to check out of. They even offered complimentary snacks upon departure, and the bar had a wide selection of food in the evening. Strolling in the snow after dinner was also beautiful.
GGuest UserWho would've thought our last night in Hokkaido, at an airport hotel, would be the best night? The room was huge with a direct view of the planes from the window. All the snacks and drinks in the room were complimentary. There's a hot spring and the facilities are very modern. Breakfast at the hotel costs extra, and the food selection wasn't as extensive as I expected. However, it's super convenient as the check-in C counter is right on the third-floor lobby exit of the hotel.
TTutusThis was the most anticipated part of our entire trip, and it certainly didn't disappoint!
#Hotel Location: Excellent. It's right on the hot spring street, and behind it is the pier for lake boat tours (Happy Boardwalk).
#Hotel Service: They upgraded us to a large suite for free, and the view was absolutely fantastic. I loved the suite's layout, amenities, and the smart toilet. The outdoor hot spring faces the lake, and the male and female baths rotate at different times, so you can try them all (っ˘ڡ˘ς)♨️
The buffet was also good, and we additionally ordered a red king crab which was delicious. You can book many activities and experiences at the hotel. There's an outdoor shop called Siri on the first floor of the hotel where you can book activities like hiking and lake tours. My friend and I booked the night forest light show at the front desk. The only thing worth complaining about is how ugly the hot spring robes are – absolutely no desire to take photos in them!
GGuest UserImpeccable hotel... The environment, service and dining are all perfect! I felt the sincerity and attitude of the service as soon as I walked in. The hot springs are very comfortable, and my skin is smooth after soaking... The key point is that their SPA... The technique is very good!!! I will definitely come again next time!
66123****The rooms are spacious with views of either Lake Toya or the ocean. The in-room amenities are excellent, and the toiletries are all from well-known brands. The hotel itself is large with many restaurants. I particularly want to highlight how wonderful the hotel's hot spring is, and also the breakfast, which offers a great variety and high quality of food.
GGuest UserRoom quite small even though they indicated 20msq. No space to put luggage, have to put on chair. Hotel indicated provided bicycle rental but when I check with them , they say only in summer time. Ask me to go Furano station to rent bicycles. But the bed is very comfortable.
GGuest UserNice Onsen resort and we like the private Onsen inside the room. The room is huge but it will be great if it has international channels or even Netflix or YouTube. It provides transport to Sapporo so that is great. Nice free drinks and snacks at night.
