The check-in experience is better than that of Ayana. There are welcome cards and fruit snacks, and the mini bar items are rich and varied. The waiters were helpful, kind and enthusiastic. When we left, they even welcomed us to come back if we had the chance, saying that this would always be our second home and that we felt very warm in a foreign country. Due to flight reasons, we were provided with an extra airport drop-off service free of charge, after all, it was less than 10 minutes away from the airport. Compared to the 100,000 NTD taxi fare we spent the day before when we took a taxi from AYANA to the hotel a few minutes' drive away, the detail of AKAKTANA's value-added airport transfer service was very generous and humane, and we have to give it a thumbs up.
Really nice hotel, with an amazing view.
Friendly staff & helpfull and. smiling.
the rooms are clean and the breakfast is correct.
The cons :
- there is no really hot water in the shower ( if its raining outside its not really nice to shower with cold water).
-The wifi is so/so.
-The location is beautiful however a little bit far, if you want to travel you either need to rent a bike or a car since there are no public transportation.
overall for the price, its a really good hotel to stay.
The hotel and resort scene is really competitive here in Labuan Bajo. Katamaran is one of the newest hotels here, and that’s why we wanted to give it a try.
The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Though there were some hiccups at times, they offered counter solutions diligently.
All rooms are ocean facing, including a spacious balcony for you to chill at. Shower was hot and with good water pressure. Only the shampoo and conditioner are not strong enough to wash off the sea water, I would suggest using your own.
The best thing in the room is that they have dining area/work space, and TV across the room is available with Netflix and YouTube (auto-sign out). Excellent for winding down at night in the room.
After an exhausting day trip to komodo island, we decided to take some rest here. We spent most of our time by the pool and gazebo at the boardwalk. The pool water is very cool and refreshing for hot and sunny weather. Otherwise they offer many other activities like kayak, paddle boarding, snorkeling, yoga and boxing classes, I had two great sessions of yoga at sunrise and sunset by the water. The only flaw is that Katamaran is still in the progress of expansion, hence construction noise could quite disturbing at daytime.
For now, they only have one restaurant, we enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches there. Price was quite reasonable, in which breakfast was included in the booking, and lunch for two is around 600k including tax for two pax.
FYR, this hotel is located around 10minute to the hotel/ town by private transfer (~100k) or grab bikes (~17k).
Overall, I would be happy to be back and looking forward to more new facilities they are adding on.
My stay at the Aston Hotel was excellent. The room was immaculate with a wonderful sea view. The amenities the hotel offers were to my liking. Most of all I was impressed by the friendliness of all the staff in the breakfast restaurant, at the reception, the driver with a special mention for doorman Pak Ronaldo.
Still, the new room was very simple and white based and beautiful.
and the dining room. it's a neat, black-based, calm feeling
The meal was also delicious 〰️.
The insertion ❤️🩹 was also good ✨
and the staff used japanese
Very friendly and nice smile ❤️🩹
One of the best hotels I experienced, beautiful, well decorated, excellent food and not expensive for the quality, remote but with lots of activities available. The staff was amazing. i strongly recommend this little gem
Avoid This Hotel — Disappointing Stay from Start to Finish.
We made the mistake of booking a room without a window — it was incredibly cramped, with barely enough space for one person to walk down the hallway. The bed was wedged against the wall, making it impossible to access from both sides. Even worse, despite clearly booking for two people, we were only provided with one set of amenities. When we raised the issue at reception, we were told we needed to “request” amenities at check-in — a baffling response, considering the booking clearly stated two guests.
For the second and third nights, we upgraded to a room *with* a window — but don't expect a view. Ours looked directly into a concrete wall and, to make matters worse, had a giant water tank right outside. I requested a room change, but the staff flat-out refused.
Service throughout our stay was consistently poor. The restaurant was slow due to being staffed mostly by trainees. At checkout, we were asked to wait while they inspected the room — something I wouldn’t mind if it was brief, but the delay was frustrating, especially with our airport transfer waiting.
Speaking of transport, we used the hotel’s car service, but payments were handled in a very unprofessional way — no receipts were given, and we were told to pay either the driver or a random staff member at reception. It all felt shady and disorganized.
Sorry, but not sorry — this hotel was a disappointment in every way.
Lelewatu is an example of understated luxury in Sumba Island, which is much off the beaten track compared to other parts of Indonesia. The staff is very attentive but low key at the same time. The restaurant is great, especially on local choices. The villas are spacious with really high ceilings, a great pool and plenty of privacy. Will miss sleeping at the sound of the waves.
Such a beautiful and memorable stays here, we booked 3 rooms for family vacation.
Stayed two days, we never ran out of activities as Ayana provided multiple ‘things to do’ for everyone young and old.
Recommended stays for at least two days because it’s worth it 👍
The location was perfect for us, outside the bustling city center. Free shuttle into town at 11:00 AM (return: 2:30 PM) and 6:00 PM (return: 9:30 PM). Daily housekeeping. Pool, beach, table tennis, and a beautiful and quiet spot for sunset. Unfortunately, the restaurant was a bit expensive, and the breakfast was boring.

MMarilyn JeffreyThe private beach for this resort is not as clean and pristine as the one at Sudamala Seraya. But otherwise, a very complete resort to relax in and the pool is friendly enough for kids play. The resorts ground is beautifully landscaped and designed. Food is delicious enough. Hotel also offers a free transfer to Sudamala Seraya via wooden boat which takes around 45min from the main harbour.

CChan_yWe stayed for one night after our sailing trip, and it was truly unforgettable! The hotel is set in a beautiful environment with breathtaking sea views all around. We booked a sea view room, and waking up to the sight and sound of the ocean was absolutely magical.
Even though our stay was short, the hotel team made it so special — they surprised me with a lovely birthday celebration, complete with bed decorations, mirror drawings and messages, a birthday cake, and a heartfelt birthday song. A huge thank you to Edy, Eras, and Erica for making it so memorable!
The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a wide variety of choices to start the day right. The hotel also provides an airport shuttle service, and its location is perfect — just a short walk to cafes and restaurants.
We also loved the infinity pool that overlooks the sea — it was the perfect spot to relax. I treated myself to an hour-long massage at the spa, and it was pure bliss. The spa room had its own shower and also opened up to stunning sea views, making the experience even more relaxing.
Although it was just one night, the warmth, hospitality, and beauty of this hotel left a lasting impression. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

GGuest UserFirst impression of the hotel - IG fanatics would love this hotel because of the decoration. It's decorated with various styles of chairs everywhere, fun and colorful, creating a happy atmosphere.
Love the stay here though it's just a one night stay before the flight to Bali. Check-in and check-out very smooth. Very friendly and efficient front desk staffs. Since I arrived before noon, hotel gave me an early check-in, also quickly react to a little problem in my room. They can help you to order Grab car in case you don't have the app.
Hotel is not that far from the Kupang airport. Lots of good restaurants, convenient stores and beach within walking distance. It's definitely worth to pay a little bit more for a seaview room - the seaview and sunset is stunning!!! Even the elevator is made with glass so you can enjoy the seaview while going up and down.
Breakfast is buffet and mainly Indonesian style, taste is fine. Shower water pressure is good. The only flaw I can find is restaurant service was pretty slow and not that attentive. I was the only guest at the restaurant during dinner, maybe they were busy with the takeaway/ room service, so been waiting for a long time for food. Luckily, taste of the chicken was delicious.
It's a shame the hotel doesn't have swimming pool so you can only go to the beach right in front of the hotel. Anyway, I will surely book Swiss Belcourt Kupang again and highly recommend to all travellers visiting Kupang.

BBudi Hao LinI recently stayed at the hotel and had a mixed experience. The room was spacious and clean. The view from the window overlooking the beach or harbour is blocked by other building. However, you can patronise the rooftop bar to have unblocked view to the beach or harbour. It’s particularly good to view the sunset.
The in-room amenities were adequate, but I found it is lack of toiletries such as toothbrush, comb, shaver. Overall, while the location and room size were positive aspects, there were some areas where the hotel could improve.
AAMEERULEverything is good but
1. The room is too small. Suite only for a couple & can't extra bed because of the space.
2. One of the room (no. 3), the sliding door can't close properly. The hook almost pull out from frame.
3. Not suitable for elderly except the rooms at level ground that can enter from backlane.
