Last off, during my stay, they were hosting an event which meant a ton of people hanging around. Now the event was for a great purpose and that’s awesome and everyone was friendly too but it still meant the bar was basically taken over by locals who knew each other and filled up the community spaces, instead of a traveler or even a general bar vibe. Not a thrilling thing to find out after checking in. All that said, staff was great, super friendly when I checked in and around the place. The bar / restaurant is well done with a nice range of options and decent prices though I didn’t find the breakfast worth the buffet cost. Like the other locations, rooms are nicely done, bunks have good curtains, power, lights, all the makings of a 10/10, but not.

On the day we arrived, we walked from the hotel to the center, which was not far, so we just followed the circled map. The next morning, we found that there were many buses around the hotel, and we could also take them to the nearby towns. Colmar is worthy of being one of the top ten most beautiful towns!

Tu-W, July 12-13, ~9 pm check-in. Horrible girl at desk—tall and thin with light brown hair and almond eyes. As the lone desk attendant, she ignored us while she finished writing something without acknowledging us. Then when she finally bothered to look up, she was very sour and acted like we were wasting her time. As she presented the credit card reader, she said to insert the card as I reflexively tried to tap it on the contactless icon as at nearly every other establishment. She repeated, “INSÉRER la carte,” like I was a jerk. After staying at 30 hotels during an extended tour of France, Italy, and Switzerland, it was definitely the rudest reception we’d ever gotten. Every other place was much more accommodating. She made me want to leave our room in a mess, though we did not. The breakfast attendant was also somewhat militant about checking room numbers and made people uncomfortable for being in the buffet line. Though it’s a good location, I’d recommend another place for better hospitality.

Just a 3 min walk from Strasbourg Train Station straight across the plaza. Very easy walk to most sights such as the river and famous covered bridges and towers (5mins) or cathedral (10mins). Large mall and Galleries Lafayette (10mins)Excellent front of house staff (special mention of Gabrielle) who are very welcoming and helpful. Room we had (103) was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and aircon worked well (very quiet and efficient). We had no noise from either the road or other guests. If I had to find a complaint it would have been nice to have a fridge in the room. The breakfast was excellent in quality and choice and again the staff very professional. The breakfast room is very tastefully laid out and modern.

We booked the Boma hotel for a short stay in Strasbourg due to its location, as it is right next to Petit France, within walking distance to everywhere in the oldtown, but also only a 8min walk to the train station. We never had to use any transports in the two days we stayed, the Cathedral and other landmarks were only a 10min walk. However, we were also pleased with what we found as the hotel was new, modern but with character. There was music in the halls and lift to set the atmosphere and the decor overall was urban modern but worked very well. The room was not very big but had everything we needed for a short stay: a very comfy bed with memory foam pillows, which granted us a fantastic sleep at night; small desk with a kettle and a variety of coffee/tea; the minibar had water and soft drinks (and were free); there was a large tv on the wall with some media contents (films and music) which were also free for us to use; a safe where we could store our passports, etc during our stay; the bathroom had a good size with a large shower and the amenities were surprisingly good (which sometimes is compromised in smaller hotels). Our room was facing a main street but the windows were double-glazed, so we barely could hear anything from the outside. In the lower ground floor there's a (large) luggage room with large lockers for the guests to use, self-service and free. Since we arrived at Strasbourg in the morning we used it, as check-in is only at 3pm; then used it again after checking out, for a few hours, to explore a bit more of the old town before we took the train to Paris. Breakfast was was fairly good. Mainly continental but there were also scrambled eggs and bacon. There is a supermarket 20 metres away from the hotel, which was quite convenient in case we needed to buy anything during our stay. There is also a french bakery / patisserie just across the road. A lot of other coffee shops, restaurants, shops, etc just nearby. The staff was friendly, provided all the information we needed for a great stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to visit Strasbourg, as it's perfectly located and has everything that you'll need to explore the old town.

A lot of construction is going on in the area, so that may not be the case in the future. I tried to find a place outside the hotel to eat. It was hot, I walked quite a ways and found only a McDonalds that was open. It's supposed to be close to the European Parliament, which I didn't find because I didn't know what I was looking for, but across the street from the Palais de la musique et des congrès and down the street from what appears to be a convention center. This is a place where you need to have a car, but I think there's a charge for parking.

It's great! The town has a strong German style. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the room. The roof outside the window is where pigeons live. The roof is full of pigeons. The Christmas decorations on the first floor are very beautiful. The service is also very considerate.

The hotel is very well located for both the train station and the center of town. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and apologized for being so busy (she had 3 phones all ringing at the the same time). It all felt very secure as it seems a staff member on reception has to let you in to the lobby. It was also really nice that they had decorated for Christmas with Christmas trees and decorations in the lobby and breakfast room. On check in we were given a small Stork key ring (possibly for being Ibis members) which was a nice touch. There was a glass cabinet with these in behind reception so I think they were also available for purchase along with a few other souvenirs. Our room was on the ground floor of the annex building, which involved walking through the breakfast room and then a short (covered) walk outside through the parking area. The room was okay, although a little smaller than other Ibis rooms we have stayed in previously. The bed was comfortable although personally I found the pillows quite soft. The heating worked well and was appreciated with the cold weather outside. The location on the ground floor meant we heard some movement during the night with people returning and heading up the stairs. They did provide a bottle of water but it needed a bottle opener to take off the lid, something we did not have, nor could we locate in the room. There was a water dispenser on the way through to reception as well. Although we did not have breakfast during our stay due to having to walk through the breakfast room we did see the selection of pastries on offer and it did look good.

There are a lot of good things one could say about this hotel but unfortunately too many not so good things Good: The whole atmosphere is one of a giant playroom laden with toys and games and happiness. The common areas are modern and airy and young. The reception staff are excellent and helpful and friendly Possibly the two very strong good points in this hotel are across the road - One is the light rail station and the other is McDonald's The bathroom - well equipped and everything works!! Bring conditioner - the shower liquid soap is very strong - good towels The hotel is spotlessly clean There's a great selection of games including table soccer, table shuffle board, darts, board games etc. Bad: Everything provided is the most basic level and in many cases simply does not work. There are two very small very slow elevators - one of them works There is a gym - exercise room. The treadmill is a basic home version which doesn't work. It allows you to warm up and then just cuts out. If left to rest for 10 minutes it gives you another 3 minutes of running. The stationary bicycle has all the lights but doesn't work. You can sit on it and pedal with no resistance - there are no resistance settings The rooms: Tiny! No place to move... No place for your luggage - The entire closet consists of a tiny 20cm wide hanging space which as the pole on the outside edge so that half your garment is hanging outside the 'closet'. No fridge in the room. Paper thin walls. When the tenant in the next-door room closes his door the whole wall, including your bed's backboard, jolts. There are two electric outlets for charging in the entire room. One on the far side of the bed next to the window and another on the shelf next to the TV. If you get the first bed expect to spend a lot of time walking around the cramped room if you have gadgets that need to be charged. Likewise the only switch which controls the main lights in the room are next to the other bed. There's a phone to call reception in the room but guess what ...? So if you need something from reception there's a communal phone at your disposal next to the elevator. Breakfast: Pathetic! There are two coffee machines, one works.....sort of. The coffee takes forever to fill a glass and then is undrinkable. If you really need a hot drink the hot chocolate is at least drinkable.Or you can buy a cup of real coffee in the lobby. If you need something at breakfast, you need to force your way into the kitchen - there's virtually no waiter or service in the dining room. There's also very little food. One morning they put out one!!! baguette! After multiple protests they brought out another. The lunch and dinner food was atrocious - many in our group went directly to McDonalds even though the dining room meals were paid for.

Visiting for the amazing Christmas Markets which Strasbourg does very well. The hotel has convenient access to the city with the B tram line stopping just outside the hotel, its only 3-4 stops (5-10 min) to the center of the city where you will want to be, Location was very safe, and great access on the tram. Quiet neighborhood. Rooms are clean, modern, functional, everything worked. Includes a kitchen. Shower was nice. Staff was very helpful at checkin. The building is shared with an AC Hotel. I was told rooms are very similar except Residence Inn have the kitchen area.

We never had to use any transports in the two days we stayed, the Cathedral and other landmarks were only a 10min walk. However, we were also pleased with what we found as the hotel was new, modern but with character. There was music in the halls and lift to set the atmosphere and the decor overall was urban modern but worked very well. The room was not very big but had everything we needed for a short stay: a very comfy bed with memory foam pillows, which granted us a fantastic sleep at night; small desk with a kettle and a variety of coffee/tea; the minibar had water and soft drinks (and were free); there was a large tv on the wall with some media contents (films and music) which were also free for us to use; a safe where we could store our passports, etc during our stay; the bathroom had a good size with a large shower and the amenities were surprisingly good (which sometimes is compromised in smaller hotels). Our room was facing a main street but the windows were double-glazed, so we barely could hear anything from the outside. In the lower ground floor there's a (large) luggage room with large lockers for the guests to use, self-service and free. Since we arrived at Strasbourg in the morning we used it, as check-in is only at 3pm; then used it again after checking out, for a few hours, to explore a bit more of the old town before we took the train to Paris. Breakfast was was fairly good. Mainly continental but there were also scrambled eggs and bacon. There is a supermarket 20 metres away from the hotel, which was quite convenient in case we needed to buy anything during our stay. There is also a french bakery / patisserie just across the road. A lot of other coffee shops, restaurants, shops, etc just nearby. The staff was friendly, provided all the information we needed for a great stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to visit Strasbourg, as it's perfectly located and has everything that you'll need to explore the old town.

The room was fine, the location was the pits. It's far from anything, especially public transportation (though that's not the case according to its website). A lot of construction is going on in the area, so that may not be the case in the future. I tried to find a place outside the hotel to eat. It was hot, I walked quite a ways and found only a McDonalds that was open. It's supposed to be close to the European Parliament, which I didn't find because I didn't know what I was looking for, but across the street from the Palais de la musique et des congrès and down the street from what appears to be a convention center. This is a place where you need to have a car, but I think there's a charge for parking.

It's great! The town has a strong German style. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the room. The roof outside the window is where pigeons live. The roof is full of pigeons. The Christmas decorations on the first floor are very beautiful. The service is also very considerate.

The hotel is very well located for both the train station and the center of town. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and apologized for being so busy (she had 3 phones all ringing at the the same time). It all felt very secure as it seems a staff member on reception has to let you in to the lobby. It was also really nice that they had decorated for Christmas with Christmas trees and decorations in the lobby and breakfast room. On check in we were given a small Stork key ring (possibly for being Ibis members) which was a nice touch. There was a glass cabinet with these in behind reception so I think they were also available for purchase along with a few other souvenirs. Our room was on the ground floor of the annex building, which involved walking through the breakfast room and then a short (covered) walk outside through the parking area. The room was okay, although a little smaller than other Ibis rooms we have stayed in previously. The bed was comfortable although personally I found the pillows quite soft. The heating worked well and was appreciated with the cold weather outside. The location on the ground floor meant we heard some movement during the night with people returning and heading up the stairs. They did provide a bottle of water but it needed a bottle opener to take off the lid, something we did not have, nor could we locate in the room. There was a water dispenser on the way through to reception as well. Although we did not have breakfast during our stay due to having to walk through the breakfast room we did see the selection of pastries on offer and it did look good.

Visiting for the amazing Christmas Markets which Strasbourg does very well. The hotel has convenient access to the city with the B tram line stopping just outside the hotel, its only 3-4 stops (5-10 min) to the center of the city where you will want to be, Location was very safe, and great access on the tram. Quiet neighborhood. Rooms are clean, modern, functional, everything worked. Includes a kitchen. Shower was nice. Staff was very helpful at checkin. The building is shared with an AC Hotel. I was told rooms are very similar except Residence Inn have the kitchen area.

This hotel was everything we needed for a lovely weekend in Strasbourg. The staff was incredibly helpful, when it came to the issues of parking, making reservations in restaurants and giving general suggestions about what to do and see in town. The room was small, but had everything we needed and had a clean bathroom and good shower. The hotel is well located and had a great breakfast buffet as well as a coffee machine in the lobby, for the little pick me up. A good choice.

Paid parking was available and we reserved a spot by calling the hotel directly. Location is excellent to walk or bike into the old town. Tram stops in front of the hotel but it was not running due to track maintenance while we were there. Small grocery close by too. The room was nice and clean. We were on the top floor and a bit concerned about fire escapes. The show was large with a big enty step; suggest a sturdy wall mounted grab rail for inside the shower. Overall, we'd go back!
