We had terrific views of the town, the river, and the castle from every room. The sleeping area had a comfortable king bed, a desk, sofa, tv cabinet, small round table with two chairs, nicely decorated a classical style. There was a single cup coffee maker that was very good. The closet wqs large, but had only and few hangers and the safe wasn’t operable. The bathroom had a pedestal sink with adequate counter space, and a shower/tub combo. Our only complaint about the room was that there were no heat controls and it was unseasonably chilly during our visit. Breakfast was a very good buffet with lots of fruit, cereals, baked goods, eggs, breakfast meats, etc. All in all, we highly recommend the Dvorak for comfort, location, and character.

We stayed in Room 5 , which has a private balcony overlooking the castle with 2 chairs and a table, and is on the ground floor, with no stairs to go up or down. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, (we didnt ever look at the other one!) , a den, a bathroom, and another small room with another toilet. There was a sink and microwave in the den area, sofa, chairs, and the apartment was very spacious. You have to use the key after hours to enter the building since it is not staffed 24 hours, then use the key to enter your apartment, so coordinating the arrival time is important to get your keys. The balcony was the perfect setting for our take out pizza and bottle of wine. The apartment is very close to a drop off spot for shuttles, since car traffic is restricted during the day, so our walk was minimal from the drop off. The apartment is 30 second walk to the town square, and 2 seconds to the awesome Satlavske restaurant. We cant imagine a better place to stay.

When you are traveling business or as a single traveler, then make a huge bow around this hotel. It is only for mass dealing there. Every day come between 6-9 buses. At breakfast it is full as in a station hall. When you live in the upper floors you can wait for ever for the lift (some people appear not to know what the arrows are good at the call keys!) The rooms are small and the baths are even smaller. Air conditioning works well for it. The cleaning leaves to wish. I fell down the hotel pencil next to the table on Monday. I was still on the ground on Thursday. The beds are made more bad than right.

There is no lift, but the view from our top floor room was definitely worth the climb. Wonderful food, great ambience but service lacking. We both enjoyed our meal immensely - perfect flavours and amount of food. We had even chosen our dessert from the menu but as the waiter did not stop at our table (despite us being nearest the bar) but kept walking past to other customers. No offer of a second drink either. Beware - it is cash only restaurant - just in case you happen to miss the signage on the way in (apparently) just like us 😉 Otherwise this is a lovely restaurant with live music - a piano player on this occasion.

Car can be parked overnight just outside, but there is parking meter. The hotel has a lift and very substantial buffet breakfast. Beds are comfortable and bathroom sizeable. Amazing value in this fresh (if basic) hostel. No TV in the room was a plus because it meant I ”had to” spend time in the lively bar ;D The delightful receptionist and barkeeper Ivy was run off her feet but was always ready with an awesome Czech beer and a smile. I hope I'll be back!

The facility has come in the years, carpet sleek and dirty, fabric bedbox had plenty of blood and who knows what else, refrigerator/minibar was out, bathroom/wall flies dirty. only positive: location, price and parking

Also, be aware that the (paid) parking garage only has 14 spots but there are 75 rooms, so you have to reserve in advance if you want to park there, something that was not clear to us, despite reading about the property -- so the garage was full when we arrived and we had to drive around looking for street parking in the rain (and there was very little to be had). But the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.
