This was the best hotel I’ve stayed in while in China. There is a reason why it’s number 1 in Qingdao. From the moment I walked in I was looked after by staff, particularly Eric and Crystal, who made sure I was able to have the best full experience. The view of the ocean took my breath away and spent lots of my time in the hotel because it was that beautiful!! Thank you again Eric and Crystal for making my first time to Qingdao so special :) I highly recommend you book this place!!

We were given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was very spacious, and the service was excellent. For families traveling with kids, having laundry facilities available was incredibly convenient. The breakfast area was very clean and well-maintained; it would have been even better with a wider variety of options. The hotel's location is also very convenient for getting around, with easy access to Metro Lines 2 and 3, plus various bus routes. One minor issue was the low water pressure in the bathroom and slow drainage, which might be due to ongoing renovations.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from the subway station, and within walking distance of the Olympic Sailing Center and May Fourth Square. While the hotel has clearly been around for some time, its facilities, though not brand new, are impeccably maintained. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be the breakfast; it felt a little overpriced for what was offered, perhaps due to efforts to cater to international palates. A special mention goes to the incredibly friendly and enthusiastic staff. They even upgraded our room during the peak summer season! We had initially planned to stay for two nights and then move to another hotel, but we loved it so much that we canceled our subsequent reservation and extended our stay for an extra night. The hotel restaurant offers great value, and you can even purchase fresh seafood from the nearby Fushan Market and have the hotel prepare it for you – it was delicious and felt very safe. They also gave us complimentary dumplings for leaving a review, which made for a truly delightful evening. All in all, many thanks to all the staff for their excellent service; we had an incredibly pleasant and comfortable stay!

Subject: Request for Room Change Delay – Service Improvement and Compensation Request Dear Westin Qingdao Team, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room change request process I experienced today. I initially requested a room change for a better view, and despite waiting for over an hour, I did not receive any proper response or resolution. When I first arrived at my room, I found that one side of the view was almost entirely blocked by the neighboring building, which was not what I expected. I called the front desk to request a room change, but after 20 minutes with no response, I called again. I was told the team was checking on it. After waiting another 10 minutes without any follow-up, I called once more. The staff seemed to have difficulty communicating in English and repeated that they were still checking. Eventually, I was told that a room on the 16th floor might be available, and someone would come to show it to me. However, no one came. I waited again, then called once more about 10 minutes later, only to be told that the front desk was still confirming and that the new room would not be ready for another 30 minutes. At this point, I had already wasted nearly an hour of my time in Qingdao without any clarity on whether I could even change rooms. As a guest who chose your esteemed hotel for its reputation for excellent service, this experience has been highly disappointing. The lack of communication and inefficient handling of a simple request does not meet the standard expected from the Westin brand. I kindly request a formal explanation of this situation and an appropriate form of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced. The room was nice and spacious, with two beds that were probably 1.35 meters long. It was very comfortable. The soundproofing was average, which is understandable given the building's design. The guests next door were extremely noisy, and didn't quiet down until after 2 a.m. Service: The housekeeper, Xiao Gao, was excellent. He contacted me the day before check-in to confirm my check-in time. Upon arrival, he was very welcoming and attentive, arranging luggage check-in, providing the inn's exact address, a guide to local restaurants, and even evening show times. He even made breakfast reservations for the next day. He was very thoughtful. I would recommend this place to friends.

Staffs were really kind and their services were excellent. We don’t remember specific names, but it was truly an awesome experience to stay! If I have another chance to stay in Qingdao, I will definitively visit here once again

I secured tickets for Stefanie Sun's concert, but with high-speed train tickets unavailable, I drove for 8 hours to get there. I found this hotel on Ctrip, which popped up as a top result near the concert venue, despite being 18km away. Overall, my initial impression was positive. On the day of arrival, a hotel representative called via Ctrip to reconfirm my check-in details, special requests, and estimated arrival time, which was a nice touch. As an EV driver, I appreciated that while the hotel lacks its own charging stations, there are at least two public charging points within 500 meters, which was very convenient. My car was directed to the outdoor parking lot. Entry required calling the front desk from a phone at the barrier each time for access, which was a minor hassle. Plenty of dining options are available nearby. I enjoyed Korean BBQ at Dongdaemun, though I did manage to stain my white pants! My room was on the 5th floor, a convenient location as breakfast, the gym, and laundry facilities are all on the same level. However, being on the 5th floor, it could get a bit noisy during morning breakfast hours. As a solo traveler, I was only given one room key. This became a minor inconvenience when using the laundry room, as I had to remove the key from my room's power slot, and no other card would activate the electricity in the room. Facial tissues were only provided on the bedside table; it would be more convenient if they were also placed on the mini-bar counter or in the open vanity area. On the plus side, the room included complimentary welcome fruits and small canned beverages in the mini-fridge. The shower offered excellent water temperature and pressure. The minced pork noodles for breakfast were also quite tasty. Overall, I had a good stay.

The stay at intercontinental in Qingdao was amazing. Fairy helped us check in and made sure we had the best stay. We had 2 rooms and both were upgraded to rooms with balcony, seaview and hottub on the balcony. It made our trip very special. The view from the balcony was fantastic, and really worth it! Breakfast had a large selection of western and Chinese breakfast. Overall a great stay with great services!

Dream's service made our stay at the Horizon Club at Shangri-La Jinan exceptionally warm and memorable. From the check-in process, she meticulously inquired about our travel plans, proactively introduced the exclusive Horizon Club privileges, and even thoughtfully prepared our preferred tea bags. During our stay, upon noticing we had a child, she took the initiative to add a bed rail and surprised us with some delightful snacks. When we unexpectedly needed to print documents, she handled it swiftly and precisely, all with a constant, cheerful smile. Every time we met her at the Horizon Club, she would accurately address us by name and recall details of attractions we'd discussed, making us feel like valued friends. Upon our departure, when our pre-arranged car arrived ahead of schedule, she thoughtfully provided an extra bottle of water and reminded us to have a safe journey. This level of meticulous attention to detail transformed the Horizon Club from just an accommodation space into a temporary home. Dream's professionalism and genuine warmth truly deserve the highest praise!

My stay at MGM was amazing, from start to finish. I came for one night as a treat to myself. Tina from the front desk was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and I really enjoyed the variety of food they offered. The staff are friendly and caring. The pool is absolutely stunning and I just so while visiting. The whole hotel was beautiful and I loved my stay here. Will be coming back for sure with friends.
