A Memorable Family Stay at Atlantis Sanya
During the long Korean Chuseok holiday in early October 2025, my family and I took a short trip to Sanya for some rest and fun. We stayed at Atlantis Sanya, and from the moment we checked in, it already felt like the right choice. The room was big enough for our family of four and so comfortable that we felt at home right away. Everything, including the bathroom and the amenities, was modern and spotless.
Most of our time was spent enjoying the water park, which quickly became our kids’ favorite place. We laughed, played, and probably spent more time there than we planned. Breakfast was another highlight — every morning offered something new, fresh, and delicious. Those small changes each day made every meal feel special, and the cheerful atmosphere helped us start each day in a good mood.
The most unforgettable moment came when my daughter lost her phone in a taxi. We were quite worried, but the duty manager and our butler, Farhana, stepped in immediately. They contacted the driver, explained the situation, and somehow managed to get the phone back to the hotel. I was honestly amazed — I never thought we’d see it again, especially in another country. Their kindness and determination left a deep impression on all of us.
Thanks to the thoughtful staff — especially Farhana, who took care of our family as if we were old friends — our stay at Atlantis became something truly special. It was a trip filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable moments. If we ever visit Sanya again, there’s no question — we’ll be staying at Atlantis once more.

The Lake View Suite offered a great view of Longtan Lake. Although a shuttle service was required for getting to and from the suite, it was always prompt and very convenient. Gina from Guest Services was exceptionally thoughtful; she arranged welcome fruit upon check-in, and our kids loved the room's setup and the cake Gina arranged for them. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, and it was also kept quite clean. Overall, a great experience.

The room was nice. The only thing is that prices are a bit high during peak season. Apart from that, I'd highly recommend it, especially as it's only a 2-minute walk to the beach.

We spent our 10-day vacation at The Westin on Hainan Island. A very nice hotel with a great hotel complex. The hotel is beautifully located. The ocean and its great beach are just a few minutes' walk away, or you can also take the shuttle. The room was very spacious, very tidy, and clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff were all very friendly. Damon introduced himself to us upon arrival at the hotel. I was able to contact Damon at any time; no matter what questions or concerns I had, he took care of everything. Many thanks again to Damon. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at The Westin. Thank you very much.

Third time here and we had a fantastic family holiday again! Location, beach, swimming pools and gardens are gorgeous and really well kept. We love the different pool options and the room with direct pool access is so convenient with kids. I agree with other reviews that rooms could use renovation, especially if they used to be smoking rooms, but daily cleaning is impeccable. The open air breakfast spot is lovely and breakfast choice is excellent, Chinese restaurant is also very good and provided such nice support to celebrate kid’s birthday. Derrick Liu was so helpful to address any concerns, everyone on staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Can wholeheartedly recommend!

My recent stay at the Wyndham Hotel with my daughter and elderly parents left us with truly unforgettable memories!
Upon entering the room, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking view. The expansive window framed the ocean and sunset perfectly, like a living masterpiece. My daughter excitedly explored the room, and my parents couldn't stop smiling. In the evening, we all sat by the window, quietly observing the sunset gradually transform the sky into a palette of orange and red, casting a golden shimmer over the ocean. It was a truly heartwarming and therapeutic scene.
Beyond the breathtaking sea view, the hotel's service also deserves a big thumbs up. From the warm smiles and helpful guidance of the staff during check-in to the attentive care throughout our stay, every detail was handled flawlessly. It was particularly thoughtful when they learned we were traveling with elderly parents and a child, as they specially brought extra amenities for kids. This gesture was truly heartwarming.
The hotel's facilities were also excellent and comprehensive. My daughter absolutely loved the kids' play area. The swimming pool offered various sections, and in the afternoon, there was even a bubble party, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, our stay at the Wyndham Hotel not only provided a comfortable accommodation experience but also helped strengthen our family bonds in such a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you're looking to create heartwarming memories on a family trip, the Wyndham Hotel is undoubtedly a fantastic choice!

If you need a place to stay for one night due to an early flight or train, I absolutely recommend this hotel. It offers excellent value for money; for just over 300 yuan, you get a huge room with comfortable bedding. There's a shuttle bus from the airport every half an hour, and it only takes a few minutes to get here. To get to the train station, you can walk through the hotel directly, and it takes just five minutes – super convenient. The hotel windows are also great; you can barely hear any airplane noise.
The downsides are that the soundproofing isn't great; you can hear people talking in the next room. Also, when I called to ask about the airport pickup, they didn't clearly specify which gate to wait at for the shuttle bus; we had to ask airport staff after we landed. Another issue is that the hotel towels are too old and dirty; I suggest replacing them, as they were quite disgusting to look at.

After comparing several hotels for a week-long stay, considering factors like room age, kids' activities, and beach access, I ultimately chose the Hualuxe's 180-degree sea view suite. The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for families with children. The room facilities were new and spotlessly clean, which thrilled my little one!
Initially, I was a bit worried about the distance from the hotel to the beach, but after experiencing it, I found it to be incredibly close—just a two to three-minute walk. Although the beach is a public area, the hotel sets up its own sun loungers for guests, so the experience isn't compromised at all! Plus, the section of the beach closest to the hotel is where many water sports activities are available, so you can dive right in without having to walk far at all!!!
The hotel's own swimming pool is also fantastic. It's a large area, great for photos, and never too crowded, making for a wonderful experience!
Additionally, the hotel provides a dedicated butler service. Our butler, Beibei, was incredibly responsive to all our needs and proactively informed us about the hotel's family activities, allowing us to plan our time in advance—very accommodating!
The hotel's kids' areas and activities are truly extensive. On the first and second floors, there are indoor and outdoor playgrounds and water parks, as well as an unlimited mini-train ride, which was a huge hit with the children!
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. A special thanks again to Butler Beibei for the excellent service!

We stayed there for 5 nights and I have to say, while it was nice to relax, we were starting to become bored. There is no animation, no music by the pool, you can only order Drinks by the pool via wechat which didn‘t work for me - it kept telling to write my phone number, which I did and I still couldn‘t order. Sometimes there were workers at the pool who would bring drinks, but not everyday. Same at the beach, which is public so be prepared for people trying to Sell you stuff (mostly drinks or fruits). There is a food court nearby with some restaurants and that‘s it. There is only one restaurant with buffet for the whole hotel. For dinner, the buffet is transfered on the beach and costed 200 yuan on top which i think is a lot ( i think it was close to 400 yuan per person per dinner). The food was good and while everything looked nice, I have to say that the choice of music while the singers were preparing was horrible. Extremly loud and in no way fitting for a nice dinner at the beach. The beach bar for drinks after dinner was poorly organized, we sat down and were completely ignored while the staff was chatting and sitting on their phones behind the bar. Only when my fiance went up to them, they served us (warm beer btw) and didn‘t even clean the table with food from the people sitting before us. And here as well, horrible music which repeats every night. The rooms were pretty, but had their best years behind them. The staff couldn‘t speak english at all (maybe russian because I think every foreigner was russian except us) so communication was a little bit draining with translator. There was one worker, I think her name was Luna (not sure) which was really attentive and nice and when she was there, the service was always good. Since we have stayed in other hilton hotels, I have to say that in comparison this one wasn‘t as amazing as the others for a resort.

Ffengxiao96Our second stop on the National Day holiday trip to Hainan, and what a fantastic hotel experience! The hotel is located within the scenic area, spread across (what I'd estimate to be) four different hills. It's nestled in a tropical rainforest, surrounded by the sounds of birds and fragrant flowers. You might encounter an occasional insect or gecko in your room (though the hotel seems to put a lot of effort into pest control). But honestly, it just adds to the authentic natural ambiance! After checking in, you get a dedicated personal concierge service. For getting around, you rely on the hotel's private shuttle service, which arrives within 10 minutes of calling (even during the busy October 1st holiday period). A friendly tip! If you're traveling with elderly guests or those with mobility issues, I recommend contacting the hotel in advance to arrange special services. The Bird's Nest rooms, in particular, require walking along boardwalks to reach them. The quality, environment, and overall experience of this hotel are definitely commensurate with the price!

GGuest User**Room:** As it was the low season, we were assigned a high-floor room with excellent views and no construction sites visible. A protective railing was already installed before we even entered.
**Service:** The hotel proactively called in advance to confirm our room preferences and added us on WeChat to assist with any requests. Yarra (a staff member) reached out daily, and her responses were incredibly prompt. We even received a small gift upon check-out. All hotel staff were incredibly friendly; even the cleaning ladies would proactively greet our child. After switching to a similarly priced hotel in Qingshuiwan, we truly appreciated that InterContinental is a cut above the rest in terms of rooms, facilities, and service.
**Dining:** Breakfast offered a rich selection with many choices, but the taste was quite average. Our room included executive lounge access. While the 'Happy Hour' food options were somewhat limited and replenishment was a bit slow, we still managed to get full. The hotel's Chinese restaurant was excellent, with fantastic food! The in-room dining was also good, and the prices were comparable to ordering from outside.
**Facilities:** The entertainment facilities were perfectly adequate for our young child. After all, the pebbles in the lobby alone kept them entertained for half a day, and they had a great time.
**Travel Photography:** The travel photoshoot process was enjoyable, and we were happy with the photos.
MM361185****Among the many high-end resorts in Haitang Bay, this one offers the most approachable price. It's an older hotel, over a decade old, so don't expect it to be brand new; that's its only drawback. However, the service and activity arrangements are excellent. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's bubble party, bonfire night, and bamboo pole dance. Both kids and adults can easily spend a whole day having fun. The beach is right outside, there's a free shuttle to the duty-free shop, and you can book an airport shuttle (at your own expense). Recommended.
CChristieThis hotel was excellent. There are 2 pools, both very clean and large. The staff also frequently check the pool and maintain it in excellent condition. The highlight….the breakfast buffet was amazing!!!!! It had multiple stations including BBQ, noodles, traditional dim sum, western breakfast options, Thai/malay curry, pastries, desserts and an excellent assortment of fresh tropical fruit. They had guava, passion fruit and fresh melons.
Would definitely come again and stay longer so that I can see other parts of the island.
CCynthiaxing0420Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating with room requests. We asked for a quiet, non-smoking, high-floor room that wasn't a corner unit, and they delivered. Very good.
Facilities: This hotel has been open for almost 10 years, so you can't expect it to be up to current 5-star standards. However, it still has the essentials: a bathtub, a three-part bathroom (separate shower, toilet, and sink area), an electric bidet toilet, a pool, a gym, and an all-day dining restaurant. The only downside is that laundry service is extra, which isn't very convenient.
Cleanliness: The bedding was mostly satisfactory, and I slept very comfortably.
Ambiance: It's generally fine, but you can tell it's a bit dated.
Breakfast: The selection is mostly pastries and desserts, with very few hot dishes. The hot soup and noodle station had decent seafood congee and very good Hou'an noodles. However, there was no Zhaopo vinegar in the morning, and the egg rolls were just so-so.
The apricot jam was good, but the half-apricot syrup was quite mediocre.
Other local specialties included Qionghai multigrain dishes. The Pandan flower buns were delicious and highly recommended.
The pineapple buns weren't good.
The Pandan coconut floss buns were also quite nice.
Location: Pretty good. It faces Haikou Bay and is not far from Wanlu Garden, about a 7-8 minute walk. There's also MixC shopping mall and the Guomao business district nearby, offering plenty of dining and entertainment options.

GGuest UserThe Sanya Shanhaitian JW Marriott far exceeded my expectations! Upon check-in, I was immediately struck by the lobby's tropical design. From the room, simply opening the window revealed a magnificent ocean view. Waking up to the sound of waves in the early morning was incredibly therapeutic. The balcony bathtub was fantastic; soaking in it during the evening, watching the sunset paint the sea crimson, was the epitome of romance. The dining experience was also a pleasant surprise. The freshly made Hainanese rice noodles for breakfast were perfectly tangy and spicy. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. A big shout-out to Strawberry from Guest Relations; she went above and beyond! Learning it was my girlfriend's birthday, she thoughtfully arranged a birthday setup, which was incredibly touching. Dadonghai Beach is just a ten-minute walk away, boasting fine sand and clear waters, making it an excellent spot for photos. Whether you're a couple on a romantic getaway or a family on vacation, this is an excellent choice. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

GGuest UserI personally really did not enjoying my stay at this hotel. I felt it was more of a mainstream Chinese tour group hotel than an international high-end brand. The breakfast was so busy full of so many people the swimming pools were really bad. Are they too small and weird shaped and closed. you can’t swim on the beach here. There was only two check in staff for 1 million people so expect to have to wait to check in. If you have kids, maybe it’s fine but for Western tourists especially those without kids I would strongly recommend not to stay here.

MM225220****Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay: A Perfect Holiday Cured by Max's Thoughtful Service
I have to give full marks to Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay and my personal butler, Max! A huge part of the joy from this vacation came from her.
The hotel itself is stunning. As the first beachfront resort for Grand Hyatt in China, it beautifully blends traditional culture with modern design. Walking through the grounds feels like stepping into a tropical oasis, with lush flowers, plants, and trees everywhere you look. Our sea-view room offered incredibly expansive views, and the 180-degree ocean-view bathtub was perfect for photos. Soaking in it at night, listening to the sound of the waves, instantly melted away all fatigue. The three unique pools each offered different fun, and the 900-square-meter Camp Hyatt kept the kids entertained to no end. The direct access to 68 Food Street from the basement made dining and shopping super convenient. Breakfast had a rich variety, with a good balance of Chinese and Western options.
But the most delightful surprise was the service from our butler, Max. From proactively adding us on WeChat after check-in to confirm our needs, to responding instantly to any questions we had during our stay, she was amazing. Every day, she delivered fresh fruit and delicious refreshments, thoughtfully sent us local activity guides, and even prepared a bubble bath for us in the evenings to wash away the day's tiredness. In short, the experience was fantastic, and we'll definitely stay here again.
This vacation completely won me over with Max's professionalism and warmth. The luxury of the Grand Hyatt isn't just in its hardware, but in the service that permeates every detail. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and hope to meet Max again!
GGuest UserThe hotel lobby was instantly recognizable as a modern, Southeast Asian style, completely transforming my impression of traditional Hainan hotels. The perfectly scented aroma completely dispelled travel fatigue. The room was warmly decorated and clean, and the pillows were especially comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep for someone prone to insomnia. The restaurant on the fourth floor served Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine, and I particularly enjoyed the Hainanese-style salted lemon tea, which was tart and sweet with a hint of salt. My stay at the Mu Nan Hotel has made me want to visit Hainan again. It's a shame I forgot to take photos, but I'll make up for it next time.
