Really quiet location as it is right on the golf course.
Great views over the ocean if you fancy a walk.
Rooms have been newly refurbished with natural tones, soft lighting at headboard, comfortable bed with an array of pillows.
Central light panel controls all room lighting - have a play!
Really good desk space for work options, with desk light for ample lighting and power right there whilst working. No stretching of cords or having to share with the kettle.
TV with great reception live TV.
Spacious bathroom with toilet, large shower, large mirror and vanity space, 2 power points and sink. Reasonable water pressure and good temperature but could not tell which was hot or cold. Trial and error
Breakfast included is good and tasty, basic with eggs, bacon, baked beans, hash browns and fried rice, selection of different toast and banana bread, coffee, tea, juices. Could probably do with some fresh fruit as well as an offering.
Nice bush outlook at breakfast and plenty of seating.
I had a corner room so my view was not the best - disappointing!
The pool is beautiful and the spa is warm, even in the middle of August.
I would come back but better view next time as the hotel was not full midweek.
I would highly recommend a stay!
Lovely vibes, cool chill areas, community bar and community events plus the staff especially the lovely guy who booked me in was Amazing. However it's a very crappy old building with Nil working properly showers and broken toilets. I had 1 night in a nice female room which I barely even saw as I was out and Tried to rest at a 2nd booking being shoved into a mixed smelly weird noisy dorm on a top bunk with ****** knocking on the door at all hrs, one guy snoring and another twat on the phone I told off. Was stressful and I hadn't a Warm shower in a working functioning bathroom in 2 days. Not returning. If you like noisy rude tourists and old buildings with no lift carrying your bags everywhere and no showers, great!
We arrived late but we managed to pick up the keys. Thank you so much.
The toilet in the room is very cold during the June period. The heater in the room doesn't cover that space. The water could also be a little warmer during winter. We had turned the tap to the max and found the water lukewarm.

Confusing parking ticket machine swallowed my credit card but staff got it back quickly, Very close to Melbourne airport. Room was clean but the facilities were miserly.
No extra pillows, no face cloths and only 2 towels, shampoo dispenser in shower was empty .Temperature in room had only a small range. Bed had comforter with 3 sheets, Either too hot or cold. Could give you more coffee satchels. No microwave. The staff were very helpful. For the money they charge they could be a little bit more generous. TV was confusing and no wi fi in room. Did not eat at Hotel.
I arrived at late check-in time on 2/11 Sunday and Mildua Inlander's staff was after office hour so I contacted to staff for room check-in by phone call, Staff are so helpful to help me to collect the room key and required admin work. However, due to the resort's layout and my room location(my room is ROOM 90), the circulation of the hotel is not poor, poor room ordering(it is not by 101 for on 1/F like typical hotel, it is using 1-50 for G/F, 51-100 for level 1; if 101-110 for block 1, 121-129 for block 2, 131-139 for block 3, 141-150 for block 4 would be better), no coherent corridor at the end, not much signage and map/easy to miss, no Lift or easy ramp for level 1. so, it is hard to find my room and poor experience before entry the room.
Room is good for me. One thing is: can consider to have openable window after the mosquito net on the balcony sliding door if I don't want to turn on the air-conditioner.
We had a lovely stay at Balgownie Estate. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a relaxing balcony that offered a beautiful view of the stars at night. It really added a special touch to the stay.
The breakfast buffet was generally okay, a decent selection to start the day, though not particularly outstanding.
Overall, it’s a peaceful retreat in a great location, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the beauty of the Yarra Valley.

From the moment we entered we were greated by friendly helpful staff. Room was perfect lovely hot shower. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful. Nice and hot and very prompt with the delivery. I would happily stay again and l would certainly recommend to anyone. Nice and quiet. Bed and especially the pillow were excellent. Best night's sleep away from home for ages.

The location is super convenient, easy to get around by tram or on foot. It's just a 5-minute walk to a large supermarket, Chinatown, various Chinese restaurants, and Asian supermarkets. In 10 minutes, you can walk to Melbourne's busiest shopping street, the CBD area, RMIT, and other attractions. The room is spacious and very comfortable. To find a hotel with such good value for money in the CBD is a real bargain, especially the bedding, which was incredibly comfortable. The only downside is that the bathroom shower had a glass partition but no door, so the floor would get wet after showering, though thankfully there was a floor towel. The Western breakfast was a bit repetitive; it was the same every day for the six days we stayed. However, the hotel service was indeed excellent! When we checked in, the front desk staff, knowing it was our first visit, proactively introduced us to public transport and attractions.

This is an old-school hotel that opened in 1913, and its original design aimed to match the luxury of London. The hotel lobby is absolutely stunning.
The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with check-in.
The elevator hall has a simple, vintage charm.
The room itself isn't large, but as you explore, you find thoughtful amenities like slippers and toothbrushes, and other facilities cleverly hidden in well-designed cabinets. Everything looks quite nice when revealed.
The bed was very comfortable, and the duvet wasn't too thin.
My window faced an internal courtyard wall, so there wasn't really a view, even on the 8th or 9th floor. However, this also meant the hotel was very quiet.
The shower only had a half-screen, so water tended to splash near the toilet. You need to be a bit careful when showering. The sink was small but deep, likely custom-made to fit the compact room. Overall, the design and layout are quite reasonable, providing necessary facilities within limited space.
I purchased breakfast when I booked, and I remember it wasn't expensive, though it usually costs a bit more if you book it at the hotel. The breakfast spread wasn't very generous, and there were no live cooking stations. It was, at best, on par with a three-star town hotel's breakfast; I didn't even see boiled eggs. Surprisingly, though, they offered congee (rice porridge) with toppings like pork floss, seaweed, and dried anchovies, giving it a Southeast Asian twist. A little later, I saw Singapore Airlines flight attendants come down for breakfast, and it all made sense then – catering to a specific market need.
Even though there wasn't a huge variety, they did offer gluten-free bread and banana cake. My friend said the croissants were terrible, looking like reheated frozen items. The breakfast staff also seemed visibly tired and a bit impatient, which is understandable considering breakfast starts at 6:30 AM.
Despite the limited selection, I ate a lot that day, and the individual items were quite tasty.
It was unfortunate our hairdryer in our room exploded noted accident do happen and we have to move room in the middle of the night but we do love the place and the service was friendly and we noted they try to address and resolve our issues immediately. But was not a very pleasant experience that I had to face unfortunately………

The reception, the lounge and communal kitchen is lovely and gives a warm and welcoming feeling. The gym is spacious and adequate equipment in good condition. Rooms are nice but like a usual hotel room. The large windows gave a nice view over the street and trees below. Location is next to many Asian restaurants and close to supermarkets. Trams and busses outside and two main railway stations relatively nearby.

Great
We are a family of 5 adult and 1 infant, and we booked 2 rooms separately. We primarily chose this hotel because of the good location next to the domestic terminal and a not-so-expensive price point (compared to Parkroyal which was directly opposite the hotel). The rooms were decently-sized, nothing too luxurious as it catered mainly to travellers transferring in the airport. The hotel had a massive gym, which was surprisingly given that it was mostly empty but they had all kinds of equipment catering to all body parts. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was OK. Not the best food, but at least it filled out stomachs with the standard spread of Western food - fruits, bread, eggs and bacons etc. All in all, would recommend this hotel if you are transitioning at Melbourne for a night and looking for an affordable yet not too shabby place to sleep!
Yering Gorge cottages is a bit of the way out of the city, but it is found within a gold course which is frequented by wild kangaroos, so the scenery is amazing and is a wonderful experience to be in nature with the free-ranging kangaroos. Breakfast is provided and it consists of bread, muesli, milk, orange, yoghurt. There’s a BBQ set on the balcony which is nice. A few things to note: the toilet is very cold in winter ,without a radiator, there are currently no laundry facilities, and the wifi is spotty.
Perfect stay for a simple trip. Stayed at the single bed room. The room is small but just enough for my short stay. Room was clean & it has everything you expected for a budget hotel: Tea/coffee, milk on the fridge and toileteries. Wifi speed is good for browsing (Approx 40-50Mbps) The only downside is: Their hotel key is using old technology and easily demagnetised. I happen to put it next to my Airpods and it loses the magnetism.

Comfortable and Convenient: A Review of Holiday Inn Express, Melbourne Holiday Inn Express in Melbourne offers an appealing option for travelers seeking a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay in the heart of the city. The hotel's location is a major advantage, providing easy access from the airport with multiple transportation options like the Skybus at $18, Uber for approximately $52, or a taxi at around $84. These choices cater to different preferences and budgets, ensuring a hassle-free journey to the hotel. One of the hotel's highlights is its proximity to Melbourne's free tram zone, allowing guests to explore the city effortlessly and without additional cost. Additionally, the availability of scooters, conveniently located right outside the hotel, adds a fun and flexible mode of transportation for guests. The rooms at Holiday Inn Express are well-maintained, showcasing neatness and comfort that align with the expectations of the brand. The reception staff deserves a special mention for their pleasant and helpful demeanor, contributing significantly to a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. However, there are areas where the hotel could enhance its offerings. The coffee served at breakfast, while adequate, could be improved either by using higher quality beans or ensuring that the brewing machines are regularly cleaned and maintained. This small change could greatly elevate the overall dining experience, particularly for guests who appreciate a good cup of coffee to start their day. Moreover, expanding the breakfast menu to include a wider variety of food options would be an attractive improvement. This would cater to diverse palates and dietary requirements, making the breakfast experience more enjoyable and satisfying for all guests. Holiday Inn Express in Melbourne offers more than just a budget stay; it provides a gateway to the city's beauty, especially its enchanting night scene. With its strategic location, excellent service, and mesmerizing views, it is an ideal choice for those seeking a blend of comfort and urban adventure in Melbourne.
We stayed for one night so that we could go to airport next day. The hotel staff services are great with free shuttle to and from airport . Not only that they also go an extra mile to send and pick us from Broadmeadows Central and send us to the airport from there. The mall is huge and prices reasonable . Overall the hotel is clean and nice. Highly recommended . Do consider when taking morning flight .
