I booked Junior Suite for 4 nights. Upon arriving the hotel, hotel staff was already waiting at the lobby. She led us to the Club at the 3rd floor to check in and arranged our luggage to deliver to our room. We had a few drinks and some Tapas at the Club before approaching to the room. The Club offers free flow of champagne, wine and drinks as well as snacks all day, it’s really a nice place to chill out before or after formal meal. Breakfast buffet at the 2/F was nice. A large variety of choices were available. I tried the massage service at the 2/F. It was nice too. Hotel staff got great hospitality. On check out date, they delivered our luggage to Kyoto Station for us to pick up there after our morning tour in Kyoto. Very thoughtful arrangement.

Kyoto Bohou College·Vacation Room B&B, hidden in the city center, but has a quiet world. Walk to Tsang Temple and feel the wind bones at the end of the curtain; it is only1.8 kilometers away from Nijo City, and it is just a good morning walk. There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the atmosphere of life is strong, but it is not lost in the simplicity and calmness of the traditional neighborhoods of Kyoto people. The homestay itself is elegant and clean, and the details are ingenious. The house is quiet and peaceful, and you can listen to the wind and dream by pushing the window. The landlord is gentle and thoughtful, making people feel at home, as if returning to a familiar hometown. If you want to find a place in Kyoto that really slows down your body and mind, the virtual room is ideal.

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory. Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem. Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else

The Gate Hotel Kyoto is conveniently located to the shopping area. It was formerly a primary school and the scenery is perfect. My wife and I also enjoyed our cocktails on the top floor with a great view. Perfect stay!

Is a good hotel for those who spend all day in a tour or outside knowing the city and use the hotel to have a good comfy rest. Is near subway station and 20min walk from Kyoto train station very convenient. The hotel gives a PJ that i found it so good. Also offers drip capsules coffee in the room.

I stayed for 6 nights in the peak season of November and the price was not cheap. The staff is so polite. The kitchen floor in the room is quite dirty. The most disappointing thing is that the sound insulation is very poor. There are many people walking upstairs every night and it is very loud. After staying for 6 nights, only the last night was quiet because the two couples upstairs had checked out and had already packed their luggage around 5 a.m. We went out and met them checking out around 9 a.m. I wanted to report the noise the next morning, but the staff hadn't come to work yet. After that, I stayed for a while and forgot about it. Moreover, the table in the living room is very small. We bought food from a nearby supermarket to eat back, but there was not enough space, so we had to use our suitcases as the table. The door is electronically locked, so there is no need to bring a key when going out. Towels will not be changed during your stay, but there is a washing machine so you can clean yourself. Not many hangers and cutlery. The location is good, very close to the station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby.

It is a lovely place to stay with a fancy roof top bar. The location is okay, not far away from Kiyomizu dera temple, but still several bus stops from Kyoto Station. The hotel does provide shuttle bus to Kyoto Station but only allows carry-on luggages. The breakfast from the a la carte menu is mainly omelette, so you will probably get bored of it after trying for two consecutive days. The drip coffee provided by the hotel is amazing. Overall, a good experience to stay at this hotel. The bonus goes to the skincare products they provided for free.

It's a bit of a waste for me to stay alone. If you are traveling with a group, please book this hotel. It's very comfortable and warm! The feeling of a new hotel, mainly decorated with warm wood, with a TV inside to watch YouTube, read the email sent by the hotel in advance to facilitate check-in (self-service) On a winter night, after taking a bath in the tub, it's cold, quiet and cozy to sit outside and eat a Haagen-Dazs. In the morning when the weather is fine, opening the curtains can cheer you up. Tatami is a bed on the floor. It is not comfortable with a mattress. The disadvantage is that you will be restricted by the space when walking around (but I find it fun to bump into each other). 400+ for one night, if you want a decent stay, you can book it, no big disappointment.

The room is quite big. It also has a washing machine with a drying function, which is very convenient~~ There is also a small kitchen. Although I don’t cook, I bought small cakes to eat in the room, which is very comfortable~~~ The pool for washing is a bit shallow , don’t turn on the water flow very much, otherwise your clothes will be splashed with water~

It requires some creativity to get a full workout. The breakfast was also good with super friendly staff. ### Conclusion Overall, I had a positive experience at the hotel. While the fitness facilities could use improvement, the cleanliness and friendly service made my stay enjoyable.
