The environment is very good, by the sea, and the service is warm. The hotel has grilled lobster, which is a big one for $20. However, the quilt in the room smells bad. I wonder if it is too close to the sea and too humid? And there is no trash can in the room. The internet speed provided by the hotel is not bad.

The Best Western CBD Hotel in Dar es Salaam is highly recommended. The staff welcomed us kindly upon check-in and were very helpful in resolving any issues that followed. Located in the city center, it is convenient for meetings and is also suitable for taking the ferry to Zanzibar. It is good value for money and the meals are also decent.

Both business trips were this hotel. The location of the hotel is far from the noise of the city. The scenery seen by the sea is beautiful, not like Africa at all. The hotel's facilities are also very good, insecticide is sprayed every day, there are many types of breakfast, recommended!

I was disappointed that the hotel wouldn’t let us get a partial refund for a 2 week stay the breakfast was very average and in general the hotel was not inspiring it’s more fitting for a business stay than a holiday stay. Nevertheless it was clean which is important for me.

The interior room is damp, clothes can't dry even after three days of washing, there is no sun, and you can't see the so-called interior, the room is ok, the room is clean. The room size is OK. The seafood in Karambezi restaurant is good, the desserts are good, the environment is good, and you can see the sea for breakfast! The swimming pool is also clean, the gym equipment is OK, the waiter service is good, and there is a casino next to it. If you bring your family here, you must see the sea, it's amazing, you can listen to the sea at night, see the sea during the day, and see the sea for breakfast and dinner

GGuest UserI booked this hotel due to two reasons - its a Marriot property now and the beach pier which I saw in the pics. Unfortunately the pier is closed now and there is no direct access to any beach. That was a big disappointment. The other issue was that there is no calling bell outside the room. So the staff has to knock!! If you are asleep or TV is ON, you will mostly not hear it. Bit strange despite being a marriot property. The pros: The check in and checkout was seamless. The reception is very well managed and the people are very nice and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was good with nice vegetarian options (which I had requested and the hotel was kind enough to oblige). The deluxe room with ocean view was quite large and had a nice balcony. though not directly on the watefront, could view the ocean...it should be renamed as partial view of ocean though. The in room dining food was quite good. Also the location is in a nice part of the town.
