Aman is the best hotel in Luang Prabang. It is located in the center of the town. It is a 5-minute walk to the Foreigner Street Night Market. Aman's service is impeccable. Breakfast and dinner are all served at the hotel. The quality of the catering is online. I participated in the hotel's charity and Mekong River cruise. It costs extra but the price is acceptable. You can use the hotel's electric car to pick you up anywhere in the town. In short, Aman will take your vacation experience to a new level.

I love everything about this hotel. I actually booked it at the very last minute as I had to cancelled the other hotel due to incorrect date. Room was so spacious, very clean, and the breakfast spread was not bad too. If you are vegetarian, you may ask them to make new ones if they have it. Pool was really great, staff was extremely helpful & friendly. Do not worry if the location is just a bit out of the centre, they have free shuttle services & pick up too. The spa massage was amazing too. And i love that they also provide free shuttle to train station or airport if you stay 2 nights. Do not hesitate to book this hotel!
Lovely hotel directly at the river. Beautiful balcony for breakfast and restaurant food, another terrace directly at the river for relaxing and reading. Rooms are spacious and clean. Walls not too thick though. Stuff is super friendly and welcoming. Free airport/train station shuttle and shuttle to the city center.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel—perfect for families looking for comfort and convenience. The garden is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained—our kids loved running around while we relaxed in the serene atmosphere.
The location is great, just a few minutes from the town center, making it easy to explore local shops, markets, and restaurants. Despite being close to everything, the hotel still feels quiet and relaxing.
The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable—clearly well taken care of. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and cleanliness.
The staff are amazing—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made our stay even more memorable by going above and beyond for our family.
And the breakfast? Simply superb! A great variety of local and international options, fresh fruits, and delicious coffee or tea’s to start the day right.
Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a cozy, garden-side stay near town!
My parents liked the rural-style, yet rustic look. The swimming pool was clean and the room condition was satisfactory for the price.
However, even though it was well past the check-in time, the room was not cleaned, so my parents had to wait for an hour without being able to eat, and they behaved somewhat incomprehensibly, such as asking to exchange the old dollars that someone else had paid for new bills. In the first place, they took other guests' old bills. I'm not a bank, so why are they asking me to exchange it? Other than that, everything was good.
The environment is good. It is the third-ranked luxury hotel. The service attitude is much better than that of Luang Prabang Hotel. The service awareness is very strong. Even if the hotel can be reached within two steps, a sightseeing bus will be arranged. There are not many types of self-service breakfast, but the taste is good.
Sitting on the bed, you can see the scenery outside the window. The weather has been cold recently, so a small sun is provided for heating.
There are two shortcomings. One is that the pillow is a bit soft and not very comfortable. The other is the hygiene of the toilet and bedding. There are some flaws. Overall, it is great.
The most perfect thing about this trip to Luang Prabang is booking this hotel. Manager Song Fan is very nice. We went to the foreigner street to play, and he sent us out. Later, we got lost, so he drove to pick us up. Full of security! People are very careful, and their Chinese is also very good, and communication is barrier-free!
Secondly, the hotel's meals are very delicious, and there are no blind spots! As soon as you come in, there are ice wet towels to wipe your hands and delicious lemon honey tea~
The sleeping environment is very quiet at night, and the pillows are also very comfortable. My mother is the kind who can't sleep with a little noise, but she slept very well in this hotel for two nights👍
The facilities include SPA gym, and free afternoon tea
In addition, it is very good, very good, very good! !

The room is old, but the location is good and the service is good. However, there are too many mosquitoes. The hotel has bicycles. It is fun to ride slowly. The swimming pool is too cold to swim. Forget it if you want to swim.

Everything was just like in the pictures. Super nice decoration. The room and its balcony were quite big. The taste of their breakfast was very nice, literally - only American breakfast's available, tho. Free bicycle ride. It's located in a quiet area, which is good. It's close to the aiming area (with Wat Sensoukharam scene on the back) but a bit far from the night/morning market, FYI. Unfortunately, there was a construction in front of the hotel so it was noisy during the day.
NNuytsiaFloribundaOur stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points.
Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating.
However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all.
Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do.
Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards.
Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space.
We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.
GGuest UserIt's okay for the price~ I liked the balcony.
The bathroom and toilet are separate.
It's not completely clean, and you have to take that into account because it's an old building. The location is a bit far from the night market, but you can walk there, and I rented a scooter, so it wasn't difficult to get around.

Very Good
KK.-The staffs are very friendly. Even though English is not their first language, they utilize translation app and enjoy the conversation with the guests. Very open-minded.
-The room is super clean.
-The location is a bit away from the historical area (30mins+ on foot) but you can enjoy the local life along the way to the area.
It was my first trip to Laos, and only for two days, but it became a very pleasant stay. Would love to visit again.
Kknoess RichelleThis place is an oasis . The staff are friendly and professional. The room was lovely with a nice balcony. Breakfast served near the lily pond each morning. It is a short walk into town or you can use one of their free bicycles. The grounds are beautifully manicured. And there was a yummy cookie left in our room each evening. You can also book all excursions around the city through the helpful front desk staff.
AAdrian StefanLovely hotel directly at the river. Beautiful balcony for breakfast and restaurant food, another terrace directly at the river for relaxing and reading. Rooms are spacious and clean. GGuest UserReally enjoyed our one night stay . Location is excellent off main market street and nice and quiet .
Easy to get to but not suitable for travelers with a lot of luggage as no vehicle access in small walkway however easy if you have backpack or light luggage. Access however by tuktuk ok.
Room clean and beautiful with amazing hot large shower. The manager so helpful and attentive with a good local knowledge. Breakfast choices great and fresh especially the ‘warm french bread’.
Will return again next trip to this amazing little town . A Gem.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is in tent style. It is equipped with air conditioning, fan, mini bar and safe. The service and environment of the whole hotel are very good. There are various recreational facilities - spa, sauna, swimming pool, gym, swing... 🌟🌟🌟The most recommended one is their farm table. The vegetables and fruits on our table are all from the hotel's own organic farm. But the mango and watermelon are really a little sour hahaha! If you come to Luang Prabang, it is really necessary to stay overnight by the Nam Khan River far away from the city, feel the breath of nature, and escape from the city. 🤸🏻♂️❗️ps: It is recommended to drive to the hotel by yourself. It is really remote, in a small village. The hotel has free tutu cars to and from the city, but you need to make an appoin**ent in advance on the hotel's own app.
SShiv KamleshkumarMy 4 night stay at The Grand Luang Prabang was excellent! The hotel is beautiful. It was a former palace during colonial times and I loved the plentiful lily pads, lotus flowers, and dok champa trees. The staff were also truly incredible. While the hotel is a bit far from downtown Luang Prabang, they were always willing to drive me there for dinner or to explore the night market, and it was really appreciated. If you want to have a special stay at a truly unique hotel, book with The Grand Luang Prabang, it will really add to your overall experience.
GGiselleThis hotel could be spectacular, the views around the hotel are stunningly beautiful but the property has been left to fall into disrepair. There has been no upkeep, the property needs a power-hose, paint & revamp. It is very unstaffed, leading to less senior staff running around trying to do everything. For example when we arrived there was no one to help us with our bags or greet us at the door (not really 5 star experience), the kids club is unstaffed, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the pool bar to make me a drink.. don’t bother with the breakfast it is very poor quality, the noodle soup is the best option but hard to eat as the breakfast room is not air conditioned so it is boiling hot in there! The shuttle bus service was great & I liked staying out of town as lying by the pool was very tranquil. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
