Location is good, easier accessible from the bus station and within 3 minutes walk from the Yubatake. But it is surrounded by construction and therefore the view is not attractive.
Service quality is good, staff are friendly, helpful and responsive.
Food quality overall is fine. Yet tradition Japanese cuisine would make the experience of an onsen vacation whole more than fusion cuisine.
Choice of onsen is limited versus the price level. Only 1 public bath is available. The 4 rental baths add more to the range of choice but they are quite quickly occupied.
The arrival was late at 5 o'clock, and the dinner time was designated late at 7:30 and was disappointed. However, the buffet meal was delicious. Indoor slippers are better disposable
The hot springs are very comfortable. I highly recommend them. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring pools, and private hot springs are free. The breakfast is quite good, and the semi-buffet dinner is quite good. The price-performance ratio is very high.
Great hot spring hotel with shuttle bus round trip
Very convenient to the hot spring town and the station
The dinner buffet was great with a wide variety of dishes
The breakfast is also very rich, better than the average hot spring hotel
The meals are much better!
The hot springs are also great and there are shows to enjoy and interact with.
Highly recommend to friends!
Clean and tidy, comfortable to stay at
Fashionable decoration, you don't want to leave😆
After soaking in the hot spring, you can have a good workout. It's perfect for a vacation
Slow down and enjoy the next vacation
I will stay there for a few more nights if I have the chance
The owners were very genuine and kind. Although they could not speak English, they really made sure we had everything we needed. Very traditional Japanese ryokan experience. The place is a little old but super clean and cute. Beautiful mountainview from the room. Would really recommend! Arigato gozaimasu.
The inn is beautifully designed and is perhaps one of the most comfortable places I've had the opportunity to stay in. The onsen baths located in this inn are very clean, and they provide all the amenities you'll need for a stay. The hospitality was amazing - from the valet when you arrive to the impeccable service during the meals. The dinner is also very much an experience in and of itself; not to mention how well the wait staff made sure to attend to any of our needs.
In all I would highly recommend Tatsumikan and will be visiting again when I have the chance.
The hot springs were good, the dinner and morning buffet were great!

TTeekhooTook JR express to Kusatsu. From train terminal take a 25 mins bus to Kusatsu bus terminal. There is a shuttle to bus terminal upon request. Take less than 3 mins to reach bus terminal. If walk, then you may take longer times.
I booked half boards. Dinner included. The dinner is super good. Free flow of rice, soup n side condiment. Breakfast was Okies. Takeaway coffee cups prepare for you.
I specially love the onsen. Robe n slippers had prepared in room for your usage.
Kusatsu is a place to have a short getaway from Tokyo.
XXINGQIThe traditional Japanese hot spring hotel has two open-air hot springs, a soup of Chicheng and a soup of rock mirrors. When you take a hot spring, you can see the opposite mountain view and beautiful scenery. Laoshen Hot Spring is at the entrance of the tail owl, and plans to go to the tail to hike early in the morning. The woman of the hotel will hear that I am going to go to the stern, and I will help me to contact me for the next day to go to the tail of the bus. I feel that the service attitude is really touched.
GGuest UserThe hotel is clean and the service is very good!
The environment is quiet and quiet, and it is a good place for vacation and leisure.
There are enough parking spaces for parking, and it is best to drive in and out, because other traffic is not convenient.
The breakfast food is diverse and delicious!

GGuest UserWonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!
