Hotels With Spa in Akita Prefecture, Japan

Dormy Inn Akita boasts an excellent location, being very close to Akita Station. The distinctive sculpture at the hotel's main entrance caught my eye, though its meaning wasn't clear to me. The hotel is conveniently situated next to the Akita Museum of Art and directly opposite Akita Park, contributing to a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere.

This place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service. Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary. I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for. 

It is the first time to soak in a hot spring with strong acid water quality. It feels very special! After soaking, your whole body will feel very slippery, but be careful not to splash it into your eyes, as it will cause eye irritation! There is a Tamagawa Onsen Nature Research Trail near the hotel, where you can see many springs gushing out of the caves. A must-go! But the location is really far away, so it takes a lot of time!

First of all, I booked this hot spring hotel on Saturday and it cost me 33,600 yuan. I thought I could live in a big room, but everything became a mess after two sleeping mats were laid out at dinner time. We couldn't open our luggage because there was no place, and we had to jump to go to the bathroom because there was no way to go. I was really angry. I booked this hotel because it is a LA VISTA group, but the food, both the ingredients and the taste are worth the price. There are also many snacks, water, Yakult, and fresh milk in the lounge after the hot spring, but there is no juice. This is what I find strange. In addition, we often pass by the counter, and the waiters treat you as air. Anyway, the way of this hotel is to come and go. Just now we checked out and put on our shoes, and they turned around when we said byebye, and didn't even come to the door. Am I really expecting too much?

Nice little hotel. Good dinner with buffet breakfast. Additional nice touch is the free to use washing machine and dryer which is great!

Because we are going to  Xiao'anxia Big Spray Tang , the location of the hotel is very in line with our needs.  The attitude of the service staff, meals and hot spring facilities are good,  especially the open-air hot spring pool has a good atmosphere.  The most important thing is that there is also the homemade spicy flavor of the proprietress, super-right flavor 

It's a little far from Akita Station, but there's a large super public bath that guests can use for free. It's open to the general public in the evening, but is exclusive to guests from 6am to 9am. It looks like there will be maintenance work on the super public bath in the near future. It's a little old, but the staff are very tidy and pleasant.

We were satisfied with everything. The reviews from other people were also good, so I went in with high expectations. It was as per word of mouth. All the staff are bright and kind. . It was easy to understand because you explained a lot of things. I was able to relax slowly. The spring quality was very soft and pleasant. I didn't have dinner, but it's raining and I'm tired, what should I do? . I thought, but it was really helpful to prepare a set meal. It was delicious. By all means, we will go again! ! Thank you a lot for your hospitality.

It is located about a 3-minute walk from Yokote Station. I rented a car and parking was free. There is a hot spring facility on-site, but unfortunately I didn't have time to use it because I was working. I used the large public bath on the 7th floor just after 11pm, just before the opening time, but the sauna closed at 10pm. The ”Hinaichi Chicken Yakitori and Carpaccio with Drink” and 10% discount on one drink are great services available only to guests. When the weather is good, you can see Mt. Chokai from the restaurant on the 7th floor, and the morning buffet is prepared with locally produced ingredients.
