Good hotel in Kendal. Hotel has facilities like pool, gym and sauna. It has good restaurant and a separate pub. They also have two banquet halls which are mostly busy for events. Hotel is situated in a hill and their parking in spread in 3 layers. Surrounding views are beautiful of mountains. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The Macdonald Old England Hotel is well situated, being just a stones throw from the lakeside and the shops in Bowness. The staff are friendly and obliging and the service matches their attitude. The breakfasts are fine, although the staff can sometimes be a bit slow in replenishing the tureens. We did not use the Spa, so we cannot comment on that. Overall, we found the hotel to have all the facilities that we were lookling for and we would be happy to stay there again.

It happened to be a wedding when I went there. The lobby was full of enthusiastic and cheerful foreigners. There was a dog on duty at the front desk, and it was very well behaved. If you bring children, you need to pay an additional 30 yuan per dog. This, uh... it would be good without this fee. The free buffet breakfast on the second day was good. After ordering coffee, the waiter brought it. There was self-service milk and drinking water in the corridor. Parking is free, and the parking lot is quite large. Basically, you don’t have to worry about having no place, because even if the wedding was full of people the day before, there are still a few parking spaces. Although it is gloomy, rainy, windy and snowy every day in the UK, we saw the long-lost starry sky here.

This is a villa-style hotel with no elevator. The waiter carried the suitcase upstairs. You can also ask the concierge to help you take it down when you check out. It's not far from the lake, and the boat ticket is not expensive, but it's a bit far to eat Chinese food. The balcony door of the room can't be closed and locked. I called in the middle of the night and someone came in a minute to teach me how to turn the door handle upwards.

1. Location, the hotel is just by the lake, but it is a 30-minute drive from Windermere, and it is far from the Lake District. 2. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, 15 pounds a day, including breakfast. 3, the hotel is large and has a lot of parking spaces. 4. The meal is great, classic English. 5, the hotel toiletries are good, is the British Royal Development Supplies MB, the bathroom's heating rack is open in the summer, the towel will be done overnight. A bit far from Windermere town. Limited parking space. Luckily I arrived early and managed to get a parking lot Good full Cumbrian breakfast. Room and bed is ok except that the room heating needs improvement.

I’ve booked Low Wood Bay a few times but this was the first time using trip.com - we got an excellent deal and the customer service was brilliant from both trip.com and Low Wood Bay. There had been heavy snowfall so things were a bit up in the air with whether we would be coming or not due to road closures but the staff were brilliant. Thankfully we did get to come for the night and we’d booked the spa the following day. It is one of the best spas I have been to. The views are stunning. The hotel itself is really lovely, fantastic location, extremely clean and all the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be coming to stay again and can’t recommend enough for a relaxing break.

Environment: A beautiful old English-style house, the interior is exquisite, compact, neat and clean, with many cute little ornaments. Facilities: Warm bedding, snow-white towels, free sparkling water, welcome milk. There is a hot water kettle and bedside USB socket. Meals: There are seven or eight set meals to choose from for breakfast. The full English style is very rich. You can even choose low-calorie coffee and low-calorie tea! Service: The landlord is very kind and gentleman, and can speak ”omelet” and ”poached egg” in Chinese.

Although it is not the most beautiful season, it has a unique style, the air is fresh and the environment is beautiful, and the fog in the morning is even more fairy, which is very suitable for relaxing vacation. Although we passed by for a small stay for one night, we have added a lot to our journey.
