As I stayed 2 nights more than my friend did in the same room, they wanted to keep my friend's passport at the reception to prevent my friend from just free riding all the services in the hotel. Let's say this is reasonable; however, they were so insecure that they need to watch my see my friend's uber to arrive at the hotel lobby before they could finally return her passport, and they said even if my friend just stayed at the hotel lobby overtime (without using anything), she needs to pay. Like seriously ***. Minor inconvenience: - Needed a charging cable in the midnight, requested at the reception, rejected. They said I could keep my phone at the reception but could not lend me a single cable. - Poor wifi connection in my room, asked for help at the reception. The receptionist said if the phone is working in the room, then they could not do anything. The problem remained unresolved.

Neverland ( jungle aqua park ) It was one of my best resort from 15 years ago , I been there more than 30 times , last two years each time I been there I find magic , we can’t say renovation or upgrade but magic , The aqua park is triple the size , there is elevators on all games , there is parts for kids and adults and art room for drawing , play station , fun is the only you do from the early morning till you go to sleep , the latest upgrade was the midway which is amusement park for after sunset activity with plenty of games all included in your Stay , even they don’t forget cotton candy and pop corn all the time , ice cream , crepe , waffle , The restaurant every where , I can’t say how many , because I don’t have time to attended all of them , but more than 12 restaurant and cafe , I am trying to look for missing item but there is only perfection , There was a bike for whole family riding together in new style bike can be used by all family Thank you Mr kamel Abou Ali the owner of pick Albatros , Your are magician in your field , you know how to make people happy ,

It's a huge hotel with potentially beautiful gardens in the future. Unfortunately, the hotel is still in construction and it's annoying to have a tractor driving around you while you are chilling on the beach. There are works at the main part of the hotel, between the beach and the main pool and they start around 7AM. Another disappointing point was the limited internet that was capped at 1Mbps. Mobile internet works well in the area though. Lack of proper entertainment in the evening as well, lack of greenery. Lot's of things feel unpolished. Food was great and the hotel in general is huge and pleasant to walk, rooms are modern.

The food variety is limited in some meals The animation team is very good at night but not very active in the morning. I would like to thank MR kerolous from the receiption team and MR Adel rhe head of food and beverages for their professionalism and their politly way. Thank you and I will come back again

The daily cleaning was perfect and I was able to spend my time comfortably. I was grateful for the mineral water. The size of the room was just right. All the staff are nice.

The hotel was quite good, but Ctrip marked the wrong location and we were picked up by a black car in the middle of the night! Later, I contacted Ctrip to replenish the fare. The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.
