Great, no nonsense hotel. Centrally located. Awesome bars and restaurants within the walking distance. Perfect for visiting the falls for both Zimbabwe and Zambia side.
No food- the only reason I could not rate 5/5 on facilities. The workers are honest. I had forgotten one of my phones after checking out. They contacted me and kept the phone for me for several hours.
The place is good and just some improvement in customer service. I encountered one incident when we were seated for the breakfast and it took us more than 30 minutes to be served and were not attended on time. Just this bit otherwise everything is fine.
We stayed at Lulu Lodge in order to visit Victoria Falls as part of a longer trip to Africa.
When we arrived at the airport, John was ready and waiting to pick us up and transfer us to the lodge. He was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast each day on the shady stoep outside our room, and all the staff were kind and courteous. We particularly enjoyed a dip in the hotel pool, which is clean and pleasantly shaded in the hottest part of the day.
We deliberately chose an independent hotel rather than a large corporate one. We wanted to see more of the real Zimbabwe rather than being shielded behind am expensive facade. Some elements of our stay revealed a tight budget for the owners: the minibus had seen better days, and had no air-conditioning, and the shower was a bit temperamental, but this was easily offset by the willingness of John and his staff to show us the places and share the experiences we had wanted to see. He took us to the Victoria Falls, showed us the beautiful Lookout Cafe, which we probably would not have found by ourselves, ferried us into town for lunch and shops, and arranged an elephant ride which was an absolute joy! The elephants were free to roam over an extensive area as part of a conservation project, and we were delighted to have a 7 month old baby tag along with. her mother as we rode.
John also took us to a local school where we were able to see students who truly valued their opportunity to have a proper education at a manageable price.
We hope to return to Lulu Lodge within the next two years.
Thank you, John, Tom and Honest.
The Hostel grounds themselves and the tent was very clean. We just did not realize that by booking a “double room” that it was actually a tent. The provided fan was nice and kept us cool in the evening and pool kept us clean during the day.
The location though is a bit outside of the town center though so you either need a car or to call a taxi to get anywhere.
The restaurant onsite was okay, but it wasn’t explained to us that occasionally they have a special BBQ and you can’t order anything else from the menu. If we knew that at the time, we would have stopped at the market and self catered.
But the staff was all lovely and helpful.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s in a quiet location, the staff were very helpful, and amenities are within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable
Despite the price was a tad steep, everything was excellent during our trip. The driver of free shuttle service was so attentive to introduce each stop snd reminded the pick up time on our way to Victoria Falls. Room itself was small yet clean with spectacular waterhole view. Shortfall was our room was too far from the waterhole itself. Nonetheless their service and breakfast were of top notch and view from the restaurant was unbeatable.
What a mesmerizing stay!

The room, shared shower, and toilet were all well-cleaned and nice.
I planned to stay one night but ended up staying an extra night.
However, there is a bar space which is very noisy and plays music until late at night, so it may not be suitable for people who want to relax.
I was tired so I ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel. A beef burger was $9 and a beer was $2.
The taste was okay.

GGuest UserA pleasant lodge. Beautiful grounds, a decent pool. The room is large, well-insulated, the bed comfortable, the shower has good water pressure, and everything you need is there. There was no soap or hairdryer in the room, but they provided one immediately upon request. They provide a separate towel for the pool, but you need to ask at reception. On the downside, there was some kind of insect repellent in the closet that stank the entire room. There are no mosquito nets, meaning you can't open the windows at night, making the room stuffy. The air conditioning is quite noisy and doesn't cool very well. The Wi-Fi connection system is a bit odd—they use vouchers that expired half the time, requiring you to go back and get them again. Breakfast is okay, but repetitive. They offer a choice of scrambled eggs with various toppings like sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, etc.; you have to order it, and it takes no more than 10 minutes to cook. The location is quite far from everything; we once walked to the waterfall in the morning, which wasn't very convenient. There was no free shuttle to the falls. The hotel's shuttle to the Lookout Café was $10 each way, which is not exactly cheap, and the car was subpar. Room service from restaurants in the evening costs $3 and takes a long time. They didn't exactly deliver what I ordered; apparently they weren't in stock. They didn't ask me about substitutions; they bought what they wanted. They allowed me to check out 1.5 hours late on my last day. There aren't many budget hotels in Victoria Falls. This one turned out to be quite good in terms of price and quality, if you're willing to take transfers and taxis. I couldn't find a taxi near the hotel, so it's best to arrange a taxi in advance.

GGuest UserIt is indeed a century-old luxury hotel built by British colonists. It shows aristocratic temperament everywhere, low-key atmosphere, thoughtful and meticulous service. The black brother guides you to a special living room for check-in, and sends you wet wipes and lemonade. The back garden of the hotel is facing the waterfall bridge. The most wonderful thing is to enjoy the mist rising from the waterfall while drinking English afternoon tea.
GGuest UserMiombo Mews offers absolute comfort, pleasure and unimaginable experience and safety. We feel safe relaxed in a luxurious apartment with the lots.
Experienced and friendly staff it’s everything you need for a great vacation.
They also offer us destinations breakfast with breathtaking views what you will call once in a lifetime experience
