Perhaps because it's only been two weeks since I opened, the room was clean and spacious, the beds were large for twins, and the pool was divided into large and small sizes, which was nice. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but I was satisfied with the salad and coffee they served me. I had to order coffee separately from the staff.

Hotel lobby looks nice. But people smokes openly inside this air conditioning space, such a turn off. Check in without hassle. Very fast. 2 person at the counter working. Warm face towel and welcome drinks offered complimentary. Swimming pool available but its raining during my visit. Didn’t get to utilize it. Room is okay but air conditioning is bad. Not cold. Complaint to receptionist but doesn’t seem to have any impact after the maintenance check it. View from room 1909 is amazing since its the 19th floor. Overall for a 4star hotel, its overated and overpriced

The restaurant staff were friendly. The hotel's location is perfect, right opposite SICC, so you only need to cross the road if you're going to a concert. However, a heads-up for the rainy season: you must bring your own umbrella. The hotel doesn't allow its umbrellas to be taken off the property, even briefly.

I have fond memories when staying at Aston Hotels as the service staff are always polite & smiling. Always going out of their way to please. However, I observed that the premises are normally on the older properties, albeit they try their best to keep clean & that the hot/water works well. I commend the front desk & the concierge personnel for their cheerful demeanour & eager smiles. It's near to the nice local produce shop for fruits & packed gifts goods of Pontianak which I bought for home.
