Fantastic place directly next to Mont Saint Michel. We brought our bikes with us and enjoyed biking a round the area and biking directly to the Mont Saint Michel avoiding the long shuttle bus queues. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff and good restaurant. The only small problem we had was getting through the entry gate to the area. There was a long queue of cars and almost everyone struggled getting through. When it was our turn we realized that we needed a code. A quick call to the hotel, who provided us the code, and problem solved.

I hesitated to book at Le Relais Saint-Michel based on the prior reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay here! They emailed us a code to access the gate to the hotel guest parking lot prior to arrival, and we just drove up to the gate, punched in the code, and drove right up to the hotel. The rooms were not yet ready for us at around 4pm (a negative), so we left our bags with the hotel and ventured out to Mont Saint Michel. This hotel is the closest to the monument, and the bus stop is right in front of the parking lot, so it was a matter of minutes before we were at the foot of the Mont. We returned to the hotel after exploring for a few hours, and the check-in was fast and easy, and we had a recently renovated smaller room (101) with a nice outdoor terrace with a panoramic view of Mont Saint-Michel, and a much larger recently renovated room (201) with an oblique rooftop view, although still very nice. We found some minor issues with cleanliness (the prior guest's facial wash was not removed from the room), but otherwise the room was clean, comfortable, and just perfect for an overnight stay. The mont was not very illuminated at night (we were there a few days before the noctural illuminations), but it was lovely to gaze at it at night and in the morning when there were no people about, just goats. Would definitely stay here again if in the area - our friends stayed down the road at another hotel within the gates and I definitely think this was a superior experience.

La posizione ovviamente è fantastica, abbiamo potuto camminare la sera e passeggiare all'alba in una Mont Saint-Michel praticamente deserta e tutto questo non ha prezzo! L'albergo invece è quasi scandaloso per la cifra richiesta: una camera piccola e spartana, arredi vecchi. Il phon a muro era rotto e quando abbiamo richiesto, con i capelli bagnati, un phon sostitutivo ci è stato risposto che non ne avevano! Inaccettabile per un hotel da € 135 a notte! Colazione inclusa allo storico Mere Poulard lì vicino (con le foto di tutti i più importanti personaggi del Novecento appese alle pareti!); ma anche lì sono glorie passate: sia la colazione che il servizio non sono memorabili.

Beautiful, stylishly furnished hotel in the center with everything you need. The wall bed with sofa makes perfect use of the space. Perfect for a short city trip. Parking for 19 euros directly in the building. The breakfast was also delicious, even if the attentive staff were a little too punctual when it came to clearing away the breakfast.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and left with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the front-of-house staff were excellent, exceeding our expectations during check-in and with valet parking. We were also delighted by the expansive spa area, which features a large swimming pool, saunas, and relaxation areas. The room was lovely, and we even received an unexpected upgrade as part of the Accor All loyalty program. The open bathroom design isn’t my preference, but I appreciate the effort to modernise the rooms. However, there were significant drawbacks. First, the breakfast was subpar for a 5-star hotel, notably lacking any hot options in the buffet and offering a limited food selection overall. This absence of hot buffet items meant guests were compelled to order all hot dishes directly from the kitchen, leading to prolonged waiting times. Even more disappointing was the breakfast staff's demeanour. They were rude and consistently ignored us, seemingly because we did not speak French. We felt unwelcome, and when we queried why we had to ask three times for eggs, we received sarcastic comments. Additionally, there was no menu for hot dishes, and the staff struggled to explain the available options. There was also no hot food available in the buffet, which resulted in over a 15-minute wait for eggs—even though most guests spent less than 30 minutes at breakfast, making these wait times excessive. It also seems inappropriate to charge guests €30 per day for parking in such a remote location, especially when most arrive by car. This fee could easily be included in the room rate.

The hotel is well located at the entrance to the city of Mont Saint-Michel, but don't expect to see a surprising view of either the bay or the abbey. There are the roofs of the buildings that surround it that block the view. The room is quite spacious and well appointed. The bathroom has a corner bath, but no window. The beds and furniture are clean, but I was unpleasantly surprised to see the state of the window sills and frames blackened with dirt. I wanted to put my phone there to make a video of the sunrise but I was quickly challenged by the state of the windows. The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. Therefore, not suitable for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. There was enough choice for breakfast and the girl who served us was very nice. There were just some products (pain au chocolat, for example) that were not replenished. It was not yet the end of the service, however. We wanted to eat at the restaurant but the reservation is full. Surprisingly, passing there at the start and middle of service, a lot of tables are empty but we were refused access and sent to the restaurant of the nearby inn.

I was the leader of a British school group who stayed at this hotel last week. Whilst we were there, we had the misfortune of being struck by a 24 hour sickness bug which affected 34 out of 48 of my students, so first and foremost, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience and distress we may have caused. However, our situation was rendered unmanageable by the simple fact that our group, despite a very clear request from our operator to keep us together, as you would logically expect for any school group, was dispatched all over the hotel, in amongst other guests. The booking was made 6 months ago, so no excuse for very poor planning, and for our concerns for the safety of our students. Our first cases started happening on the very first night. This was a particularly virulent bug which caused our students to vomit with no warning. Of course, when a student was affected, other students in their room had to come and find us. The only place we could use as a hub, given the situation, was the hotel lobby. This went on all night, and we stayed up all night, dealing in the best way we could with our sick students, stripping beds, moving students to other unaffected rooms when we could... The hotel manager/night porter (at least I assume he was the manger as he never bothered to introduce himself) witnessed the situation but didn't offer any help whatsoever, not even clean sheets. We had to ask for these and he very reluctantly gave us 3 !!! The next day we were met by the same man, who just proceeded to shout at us for not having any control over our students, going as far as insinuating that our students were sick in their beds on purpose... When I tried to make him see our point of view, his tone turned to sarcasm as he repeatedly said ”Yeah, yeah, you're right”... After much calm and patience I thought I had managed to get through to him, have an adult conversation, and I thought we had left in amenable terms when I got on the coach to go on a visit. We even smiled at each other and I really thought I'd got somewhere with him. Unfortunately, when we came back from that visit, the reception shutter was down and the man didn't realise that I could hear every word he was shouting down the phone again to his area manger. It was very clear that he was not able to try and see things differently at all... He also accused one of our student of being sick in the hotel lobby, but then changed his story when he asked to see the video footage... I could carry on at greater length... This hotel will not be a suitable place for any school group as long as it is run by someone as incompetent as this man, who displayed the understanding and interpersonal skills of Basil Faulty, but without the character and humour. Communication among the staff was also sketchy, which led to another argument with the manager... However, I could not fault the rest of the staff. This is a very basic budget hotel and the room is quite small. I stayed two nights in January so the price was exceptionally low. Room had a chair, small desk, full bed, two small pillows, a TV, hooks and rack for clothes and a tiny prefab bathroom, as is the case with out locations. The shower is very hard to maneuver in and only hand soap is provided in a container. Wifi worked fine. There's no AC. Heat was OK. Water was hot. Staff was friendly. It was about two miles from the beach and a little over a mile from the city center and train station so the location isn't great but it's safe. There are several gas stations and grocery stores nearby but dining options are limited. Clientele seemed OK and the grounds were clean. For the price or a comparable one, relative to the time of year, I'd definitely stay again.

Currently in hotel as I draft this. The rooms are really small. Compact would be another word to use. Very much the style of motels in the states but smaller. The hotel is external walkways to your hotel room. That does not bother me. Rooms were clean. Bathroom definitely out of a caravan. Molded plastic thing. No aircon and the window opens fully or not at all. Currently have the door wedged open by a chair. Trying to cool it down. Free ample parking, pleasant staff. Hotel 25 mins walk down a main busy road with no dedicated footpath for a certain distance. No good for prams or with young children. Please look to see if there is a different route, but the direct route there is no path. We walked in and back, nothing apart from McDonald's around hotel, so will either take car or get taxi back into town. 90 euro a night we paid. I think that is over priced but perhaps I am payi g more due to season, I did book 3 months ago? So not sure? I booked this place for a stop off on our route back to UK. If I was coming to Honfleur for a break this would not be my hotel of choice.

The first night the hotel hosted a school group, forced to ask the calm by calling the reception at 22H children cried and ran into the corridors. At 5,50 euros a breakfast, you will find only frugality, no choice and low range products. The staff is very sympathetic but the experience is unacceptable. At the end of your stay you are offered a note to be settled with half of the already settled invoice ... Thalasso et service très satisfaisants, mais chambre énigue à la moquette dépassée, donant pas un sensation de grande propreté (tâches...). Chambres ultra chaude n'ont pas la possibilité d'ouvrir la fenêtre sans faire rentrer la lumière, peu pratique.

The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. The calm roof level is to be seen again, as soon as no one passes through the corridor the vibrations of his steps resonate in the room, we could also follow the conversation of one of the mitoyan rooms. The ceiling of the bathroom is wet and the paint is scattered into the shower, which does not give a good impression when in hygiene, good point there were 2 wallpapers available. The bed is of a relatively low range comfort that grins at the least movement. For the drinks offered with the boiler I was surprised to have milk out for 1 month!

This may explain the low level of cleanliness ... Sleeps on the moquette and chairs, a bit of bread and I pass. The kitchenette has not been changed since the last century! The shower door does not pass properly (it would deserve to be seriously re-established before it is no longer possible to use). The bathroom is dressed with hair and hair, the toilet bath in a orange juice, not very hygienic all this but we apply the health instructions well !!! Thankfully the staff is pleasant, welcome and smile ! Despite this only positive point, we are not ready to put our feet back on it.

The staff were lovely, we got lots of interesting tourist information from the front desk and some top notch cocktail and wine service from the bar. The hotel is well located, very near to a long stay car park and a short walk from the town centre, we didn't try the restaurant but the breakfast was a good standard and the general over all feel of the hotel is very cosy and welcoming.

Very quiet hotel close to the airfield in Dieppe. We stayed in a family room 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Family of 4 with 2 children. The room was clean and tidy and well laid out. We arrived a 11pm and the reception was closed but a brief call to the number on the door and thankfully in English, we were directed to our room. We went to the local bakery 3 minutes down the road for breakfast and left easily the next day after paying the tourist tax at reception. There was a lidl just outside the hotel which would have been handy if we had needed to pick up any supplies. Good value stay!

Hotel muy antiguo, pero no está en mal estado. El lavabo de nuestra habitación estaba un poco atascado y el suelo tenía un poco de polvo y el parking no es demasiado grande. Por lo demás muy bien. Camas limpias, no hay ruido exterior por lo que se descansa bien. Hay microondas, máquina de café y de refrescos en la entrada. También dispone de desayuno tipo buffet.

Great place for a stopover. Hotel is close to river with numerous restaurants. Disconcerting was having to ring a bell to gain access to hotel. However greeted by a rally nice an friendly receptionist. Car parking is 12 euros. There is a height restriction and would suspect difficult to get a larger SUV into underground carpark. Very steep and narrow. Make sure you remember passcode as need that to gain access to parking area and hotel. Big surprise was size of room which was able to divide into two by a curtain. Contained a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine as well as a safe. Able to buy microwavable meals in reception. Bed comfortable and whole room felt clean and fresh. Nice size bathroom with both bath and shower as well as hair dryer. Separate toilet. Our view was over a modern courtyard. Not nicest of views. Would ask for a river view. For location and comfort would definitely stay again.
