It was very good, the person on check-in was really amazing and everyone was good as well. I loved our stay there. We booked a room for 4 people but they upgraded us to Executive suite. It was so nice of them. I wish we had Haram view but it was 2 mins walk from Mosque.
Absolutely disappointed by the service recieved compared to the amount of money I paid . I had to call the engineer out twice because there was no hot water and when he came it was only a temporary job Good thing is it's very close to Haram
The hotel is located just a step away from the Masjid Al Nabwi, which makes this hotel popular. However, the hotel is very old. The bathroom is equipped with obsolete items. Shower, sink, and toilette tabs falling a part. The bath rooms need complete renovation, including tiles. Other than that, the reception staff is not very friendly.
Had to wait a long time before the receptionist could find the reservation through Trip.com.
I had to complain to the duty manager, Mr.Ridwan, who was extremely friendly and cooperative. He assigned another room. The duty Manger Miss.Raseel was exceptionally good. She extended my checkout time as my flight schedule was changed to a later time
She also offered the lounge. She really made my stay very comfortable. A special thanks to Mr.Ridwan and Miss. Rassel. The breakfast was exceptionally good with a huge choice, and the restaurant staff provided exceptional service.
The Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah is truly exceptional. It's consistently our top choice when visiting Madinah.
The hotel excels in every aspect: its unparalleled proximity to Al-Haram, the excellent service from all staff, impeccable cleanliness, and the quality of its food (I only had the breakfast). The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the staff were incredibly attentive, readily bringing drinks and even food upon request. Their hospitality is truly outstanding.
We had guests during our stay, and when we requested Arabic coffee, the staff went above and beyond, graciously providing complimentary baklava, dates, fresh fruit, and coffee.
A special mention goes to Mr. Hani Al Khattab, who was exceptionally helpful and responsive to all our needs. Any room service request was delivered swiftly and in record time.
A solid 3 out of 5. Budget hotel, clean fine for solo travellers and within 15-20 minute walk from Masjid Nawabi. Thanks to the receptionists who upgraded the room to a king-size bed suite and offered the day extension for the same room, too. Breakfast consists of a set menu, not a buffet, which, although adequate, is nothing special. A few places are within a few minutes' walk. Showroom was clean but oddly lacked a shower screen, so water splashed over the toilet! Not sure what the builders were thinking as if they wanted a wet room or a normal bathroom, but ended up with an in-between.
The hotel itself is located not on the posh side of Medina but 1.2km from Masjid, but being a budget friendly option, it's fine. Top Tip for solo travellers, if you're able to then walk a little under 2km from Hotel to bus station locted near Prophets Mosque to get the 400 bus that will take you straight to Medina Airport It's much cheaper than taxi and Uber options.
Great hotel, staff and services. It’s 30 minutes away from Masjid nabwi. Rooms are very clean and decent size. Definitely worth booking if you’re going to medina with family.
Very outdated and customer service is terrible. Rang reception from hotel room no answer (2 times) than had to go to reception to complain safe don’t work, they turned up next day to sort it out.
Great hotel! Probably the most beautiful hotel in alula. Excellent service and we got super good deal from here so i would recommend you guys to check it out.
Nothing to complain except our villa was very crowded with pigeons (i think because it was nearby the mountain) so our outdoor area were full with lots of pigeons' poops and also in the swimming pool :( and another thing was we asked for bikes multiple times, if im not wrong, like 5 times, staff said will check it for you and we never get feedbacks but it happened with us in other hotel as well so it's fine.
Still! Great experience great time. Definitely come back :)

AAllam ashOverall, my stay was good. The staff were generally friendly, though the check-in experience was a bit unpleasant at first. Thankfully, things improved afterward thanks to Ms. Bayan’s excellent assistance. However, the hotel feels overpriced compared to other options located very close to Al Haram in Medina. One major downside was the corridors — they were often full of leftover food left outside rooms, which was unpleasant and gave a poor impression. Security personnel needed further training to be more customer friendly

GGuest UserI’ve never stayed in this hotel despite visiting Medina on a number of occasions the location is okay it’s near both the ladies and men’s gate to access at prayer times I’d say a brisk 10 min walk there is a lot of food places the mini stalls and also great Pakistani food on the doorstep of hotel
Now the hotel itself is in need of a little refurbishment the doors in the rooms are peeling and the furniture is old
On the other hand the toiletries used are an amazing brand BYREDO….the lifts were very busy and would take a long time to arrive at our floor and also the same on the ground floor
Breakfast was standard but fresh I cannot fault the service received by staff members especially Feras at reception and house keeping too all in all a pleasant stay

SShazianService is exceptional.Very attentive to any comment.
Location is just opposite gate 329.Best for women's entrance to the mosque.
Area of improvement-Breakfast same everyday.catered for middle eastern guest.Should have more varieties like Malaysian or Indonesian food.
Next will be the toilet-shower in the bathtub is a huge challenge for some especially the seniors.Hopefully they will change it to shower room when they refurbish the room.
GGuest UserThe hotel’s location near the Prophet’s Mosque is excellent, making it convenient for visitors. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Rooms felt outdated, cleanliness was lacking, and staff were slow to respond to requests. Parking is free .While the location is a big plus, the service and facilities need significant improvement.
SSherazzulfiqarIt was very good, the person on check-in was really amazing and everyone was good as well. I loved our stay there. We booked a room for 4 people but they upgraded us to Executive suite. It was so nice of them. I wish we had Haram view but it was 2 mins walk from Mosque.
FFAISAL AMIRThis hotel was supposed to be 3.5 kilometres in a straight line to Masjid Al nabawi but due to road works we ended up travelling 9 km each way.
The hotel itself is a converted apartment building that turned into Suites probably because the owner couldn't sell the apartments due to the area not close to any business centres or shopping malls.
Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and communication is great
No USB charging ports provided anywhere including lounge or bedrooms.
No towels or any cleaning supplies provided to keep this little apartment clean.
Bathroom floors were extremely slippery to the level I would call dangerous.
Bathroom fittings, kitchen ,bedrooms and all furniture in living area also large and comfortable , but we booked for six beds they only provided us 5 beds plus a thin single mattress , which was a great disappointment.
But for us, the biggest drawback was that it's too far from Masjid Al nabawi and not suitable even at low prices.
I would recommend paying more to be closer to Masjid Al nabawi there are plenty of options within 15-20 minutes walk at good price, but if your reason to stay in Madina is not Masjid Al nabawi, then this hotel suite is okay, just consider all the notes I made above.
GGuest UserI stayed for 2 nights on Oct 19th and I would like to give a special warm thankyou to Jereen who checked me in super early and even showed me which rooms I prefered. I was even given a complimentary fruit bowl which I was amazed, Abeer the receptionist rang me and asked if I needed anything. Its small touches like this that gives this hotel its uniqueness. I believe this hotel is 5 star. The quality of the rooms, shower, breakfast and the close proximity to the Haraam (3 min walk) and the friendliness of the staff, The luggage helpers helped me tie the arabic scarfe onto my head on one day as I wanted to experiance what its like to be arabic. On my last day Asim who was on night duty and even had a smile at fajr time helped me order my luggages to reception. I will always remember the friendliness and the modern feel to this hotel. There are food courts off the main road and in the future new food courts are being built on this green dome side of the haraam nearby, not to mention that there is an al baek chicken outlet a stones throw, theres a money exchange shop nearby aswell as beautiful little outlets selling thobes, prayer mats etc. This hotel is 5 out of 5. Try it
