GGuest UserExcellent hotel, needed a place to stay before our flight. It's close to the airport, and the main advantage for us was the tennis court. We thought it was included in the price, but it turned out to be extra. We weren't bothered by that. Nice clean pool, beautiful grounds.

GGuest UserWe initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

JJiaodashaoLet me start with a few downsides: for a five-star hotel, there was no liquid hand soap, only bar soap. The toiletries were also very basic, small plastic bottles. We had to specifically ask for bathrobes and the low-quality disposable toothbrushes. The soundproofing was terrible; every time someone knocked on the opposite door, I felt like they were knocking on ours. The good points are: we were given two bottles of cinnamon drink upon arrival, the pool is beautiful, and the gym is decent. Apparently, haircuts are free, though I didn't try it, and there's a sauna too. We paid an average of over 600, and the taxes were quite high, so the value for money wasn't great in comparison. Oh, and the service was quite slow; we had to wait 10-20 minutes even for toothbrushes.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel for its sea view, and it's just a few hundred meters' walk to the beach. In the evening, after watching the sunset, we went to a nearby shopping mall for dinner. The front desk staff were very friendly and helped us book a taxi through the Uber platform.

The service staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel environment was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. I especially loved the garden area, the swimming pool, and the stunning beach views. Waking up to the ocean view from my room was an amazing experience. Even the washroom was well-maintained and offered a great view, which made the stay feel even more special. What impressed me the most was the genuine hospitality of the staff. They made me feel welcome throughout my stay and paid attention to every detail to ensure my comfort. Overall, I would rate my experience 10/10. Everything—from the location and facilities to the service and atmosphere—was simply perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Sri Lanka.

CCaitlin01Lovely hotel a short distance from the airport - nice place to relax after a long flight. Has a great pool, is right on the beach, and has a well stocked gym as well. The staff were very friendly, there is a beach bar which does nice drinks, and our stay was very reasonably priced for the quality of the stay. I’d recommend going to Jude’s restaurant nearby for dinner.

AAnonymous UserMy stay at Marine Bay Colombo was excellent overall. The hotel is located right by the sea with fantastic views. My room offered direct ocean views of the Indian Ocean, and the scenery in the mornings and evenings was absolutely stunning. The room itself had a modern decor, felt quite new, and was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was above average, which was perfectly acceptable. The bathroom was spacious enough, and all the hot water and facilities worked perfectly without any issues. The staff were very friendly; both the front desk and housekeeping were welcoming and helpful, addressing any concerns promptly. The overall service experience was a definite plus.
