The hotel is still in the soft opening phase. We have received a very warm welcome and enjoyed the very good service from the reception. Probably the best hotel in Pakse, good breakfast with fresh made noodle soup and eggs. We enjoyed the warm outside pool and decided to extend our trip. Overall everybody is very service oriented and we would like to thank the entire team for making our stay an enjoyable one!
This hotel is nicely located the river. And is just in front of the Night Market. But generally the area is a bit lackluster. There are 102 restaurants and coffee shops nearby doesn't appear to be a really vibrant area. The hotel has only one elevator and strangely enough easily accessible staircases . Rather odd. Breakfast buffet was a bit underwhelming and the coffee really not drinkable. But all in all a bad experience and reasonable for the price
The Athena isn't bad. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very nice. The pool was relatively small, but okay. However, there were only about 5 sun loungers, and they were usually occupied. The à la carte breakfast was okay, but if you wanted an orange juice, it cost an extra $5 USD, which we found excessive. All in all, a good 4-star hotel with minor drawbacks.
We enjoyed our stay at You Empjre Hostel and Bar. The staff were super friendly and has great English - really easy to communicate with. They offer a few breakfast of toast, egg and fruit. Nice crazy but a nice touch. The Hostel offers laundry and bike rental services. When it rained our final night some of the things near the window got wet / damp.
The hotel is easy to locate on Google maps, a square of the main street, takes attention 24hs, to parking space, offers extra washing services and motorbike rental, the receptionist is very friendly, service, It should only improve your English, helped us get a taxi for the airport. The room is large, with basic facilities, shampoo, soap, water bottles (day), white towels, closet,air/con, acceptable WiFi, that if the smell of the bathroom was something strong. It is recalled that you leave 100000.00 LAK as security deposit (about $4.62) And return it to your check out.
The hotel is very large and many rooms. The interior decoration is similar to that of a domestic 3-star and 4-star business hotel. The windows of the rooms cannot be opened. This should be the largest in Pakse. The hotel staff has good service. It is next to the river, but The greening of the hotel’s garden is expanding. It’s impossible to reach the river and the gardens are not large. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. A 10-minute walk across the road is the biggest bazaar in Pakse. There are several Chinese restaurants on that road. . Pakse's overall environmental conditions are limited, so it's pretty good.
It is considered a place to stay near the market. In the morning, there is a coffee shop in front. The coffee and bread are delicious. Next to the restaurant is similar to a la carte. It opens early in the morning and there are only locals eating. There is also crispy pork. Order stir-fried basil to eat. The room is spacious. It may look a little old, but it is considered okay. The staff is always ready to serve with a smile.
We stayed in Villa 1, the older building of this hotel. Good balcony with great view to the river, big room with enogh space. The breakfast was at the new Villa 2 which is about three minutes walking distance. Good, varied breakfast. There's also the pool which is very clean and can be used. Perfect place to enjoy sunset. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would be our choice for another time.

This was the only hotel I ever stayed at in Pakse, so don't have a way to compare it to other places, but it was priced as high or higher than most other places in town. Setup was a little strange, felt like someone's home that got converted to a hotel. Also felt like it wasn't originally designed as a 5 story building but rather that floors were subsequently added. Staff speaks little to no English with the exception of one older lady that seemed to be translating for everyone. The breakfast room at the top floor was nicely setup with beautiful river view. Breakfast was basic but nice. My room was a little dated and very basic. It had everything I needed, just everything felt super old. Curtains couldn't be properly closed all the way and the room could not be kept dark in the mornings. I also had a problem with ants in the bathroom, in my toothpaste, my shaving cream and on the towels. Overall not a bad place to stay, but when I return to Pakse I will probably try some other hotels before returning to this property.
The best choice for Dongkong Island. The hotel is right under the old bridge. The location is excellent. You can walk up to the bridge to watch the sunrise and sunset.
The breakfast was good, and the riverside dinner in the restaurant was refreshing.

HHumbertoMonteiro03The hotel gave me an amazing entrance, magnificent lobby, but 5mins later they made us wait for almost an hour to check in saying that they couldn’t find our reservation. They told us to have a sit multiple times wait for them to cum out the reservation, while we were exhausted from a long bus ride to Pakse(btw, such a horrible terrible miserable city). They’d only pay good attention to the well represented.
But after checking in, realizing the check in time on trip.com isn’t aligned with their own check in time schedule, the hotel was an amazing resting place with international TV, nice bathroom and pool outdoors. In such a dirty city like Pakse, we have a better stay because of the nice hotel.
Just one last little tip for the hotel, recruit people who speak good English please.
GGuest UserThis bungalow was an absolute gem. Very affordable, incredibly quiet, and filled with such good, peaceful vibes from the moment I arrived. Being right along the Mekong made every morning and sunset feel special and calming. The place is simple but perfect, exactly what you want to truly relax. The owner, Gilbert, deserve a special mention, extremely kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful, always ready to assist with a smile, calmness and great advice. I felt very welcome and at home here. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic, and beautiful place to stay.

GGuest UserLovely resort in Pakse which faces the Mekong river so there is a lovely view and breeze!
The staff were amazing from the cleaners to the receptionists. I'm sure this resort will get very popular soon as it is a hidden gem.
I stayed over Christmas and was able to have the receptionists help me book activities during my stay.
I would recommend booking their taxi service from the airport as there are no local taxis available.
