The best room throughout my trip in Kyushu. Size wise, you have plenty of space to flat open 28” luggage. Bed wise, nice firmness. Cleanliness wise, outstanding. The room has functioning AC so you can always cater the temperature to your preference. They also prepare a pair of pajamas for you to use, so don’t worry about bringing too many clothes. Breakfast is aplenty, with a lot of seafood & vegetarian options. For Muslim travellers, halal restaurant is 1km away, and is accessible on foot, or Uber. They have onsen, and coin operated laundry facility. No complaint at all. Staff are so accommodating and attentive.

I booked triple room, quite big. The view is blocked by nearby building, so i couldnt see the sea from my room, not the same view as photo shown. The room i stayed has stain on the wall. Rooftop view is superb. The pool is a bit old as well as indoor onsen.

I recently stayed at Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan, and it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff’s warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and relaxed. The hotel is a bit old but very clean. Staff are nice and speak English well. Quite near to railway station that we didn't bother to reserve time whenever we wanna go for sightseeing and buying souvenir.

This JR hotel is one of the most unique of all as it has a rooftop onsen (19-21F). It comes with a 150yen per pax per night charge when you stay here. 21F is gender separated outdoor onsen! Was a surprise as we did not expect it to be so nice with the current weather. Parking is 1000yen per night with the car park at the mall side and is linked to the hotel reception by an elevator. Location is superb for non-driving too as it is within 1 min walk from the JR Oita station. We used the onsen for all the nights we stayed. Super good value.

If you want to take a hot spring bath, the hot spring is definitely worth it. The hotel has several indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the yukata in the room is made of high-quality materials. There is also a shrine that looks very simple and hidden behind the hotel, as well as a large bamboo forest, which you can go to in the morning. The only drawback is that it is a bit far from the central business district of the town, so you need to walk down the mountain or ask the hotel to call a car to rent a car

This Super Hotel thoroughly represents ESG and its night bar and breakfast make it an exceptional experience. Although the twin bed room is quite small and not friendly for 2 person luggage to be opened.

Kamenoi Hotel Beppu is conveniently located near the JR station and main bus terminal, making it easy to travel to various parts of the city, including Beppu's Jigoku, via public transport. The hotel features a hot spring bath, perfect for the adventurous traveller looking to relax after a day of exploration. The rooms are more spacious than the typical Japanese hotel, which is especially beneficial for those travelling with children or large luggage.

Excellent!  A very big thumb up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Awesome onsen, grand lobby, incredible seaview, unlimited drinks, excellent staff and clean facilities and places. Those are my descriptions to this hotel. I have a very pleasant stay with parents (aged 80+) and highly recommend! Surprising me is the front desk, can speak fluent English, Korean, etc. Special thanks to Harada san 👍🏻, she did a great job and arrange a shuttle to drive us to the airport bus stop.  Drivers are very kind as well! Breakfast is good, value for money, lots of choices, Japanese style( like sashimi rice, mackerel, salmon for grilled) and Western(toast, salad) are very fresh. Highly recommended! For dinner, this is 90 mins semi buffet style…. Nice to try, due to the “semi” set does not offer choices, and we don’t eat beef, Huy (restaurant staff) nicely offer to change to pork (takes 10 minutes to prepare) and take another 5-6 min to cook.  To me, a bit rush to get other food to finish, especially you are accompanied with disabled parents! Anyway, thanks to him, we got special menu - seafood, for my second night dinner. Honestly, the price is expensive, not worth for people don’t drink alcohol. But if you are an alcoholic, there is wide range of choices. cocktail, chardonnay, etc are soso! One “cons” is the location is a bit off from Beppu JR, if u drive, highly recommended, my case is the car break down (Toyota shop really disappointing) especially u carry aged 80+ disabled parents.

Very impressive, location is next to station and staff is very helpful, Mio san (if I’m not wrong) is good at English she the others help me organize the trip. Bicycle rental and parking slot are available. Famous coffee shop is walking distance. Even there is no onsen here but u can go Hyotan onsen which is the biggest one for 15 mins, (onsen itself is 1480 jpy open til midnight) I’ll be back !

Excellent location. Take the bus from Fukuoka Airport and get off at Beppu Kitahama. The hotel is right next to you. Although the room is small, it is very clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation is also good. It fully meets the needs of one person. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths on the second floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to soak in the evening after walking during the day. The Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the service staff is polite, friendly and thoughtful. There are also two Western-style family restaurants next to the hotel, Jolly Pasta and Royal Host. The price is reasonable, and you can eat satisfactory at 130 per person. I will stay here again when I come to Beppu next time!

This is the most cost-effective hot spring hotel (hotel) I have ever stayed in. I only spent less than 1,400 yuan to stay in the best private hot spring room, facing the incomparable sea view. At the same price, I can only stay in other hot spring hotels. I booked the cheapest room type and the front desk staff was very friendly. Although the facilities are a bit old and the bathtubs in the large public baths are not as comfortable as those in the private baths, the unique nostalgic atmosphere is also the hallmark of a hot spring hotel. To a guest downstairs: After a little research, I found out that there are no luxury hotels in the Beppu area. A slightly larger hotel can call itself a hotel. There are many such ”hotels” nearby. I stayed at the Tsuraya Hot Spring Hotel in Hokkaido for 4,000 yuan a night, and I always used a key to open the door. Even if the hotel does not meet the psychological expectations, you should complain after leaving the hotel instead of asking for a refund at the front desk before checking in. I believe that even in China, the hotel will not tolerate such unreasonable behavior. The person involved only exposed his upbringing. And the lack of common sense makes people laugh.

The hotel design is very unique, and the room planning is outstanding, offering large and comfortable spaces for both sleeping and general relaxation. The private onsen has 2 large glazed doors that open directly to the private terrace, plus a full width and height glazing, enabling the feeling of enjoying an external onsen. The staff can communicate well in English and is very friendly and helpful. The one observation that the hotel management can review is on the lighting in the luggage space, it is sensor operated, as one needs to organize the luggage for sometimes, the short duration of lighting on is not sufficient for the packing, please consider having the lighting be changed to manual operation. Otherwise, well done.

Bed sheets had water stains on them, but overall room was spotless and very nicely arranged. It was compact but comfortable. The toilet light was really dim, but that’s ok since I did my bathing in the various onsens around the town. The receptionists all spoke English and had helpful instructions printed out. Didn’t actually use the hotel public baths, maybe next time. The tv worked great and had no problems with the aircon either.

The location is not close to Yufuin Station, which is more convenient for self-drivers. There are ample parking spaces and free parking. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the nearby supermarket, but It is a hotel with a sense of history but very clean. There is an additional fee of about $2xx Hong Kong dollars for children to stay. In addition, children's toothbrushes cost another 500 yen. I am speechless...but the dinner set menu is good and you can eat until you are full!

Great value for money.  Biggest room I ever had in Japan. Whilst slightly far from the city center on walk, the location is accessible by car in 7 mins.

great experience This time I am traveling alone But I get very warm care from here There are a lot of cute touches everywhere in the hotel room + public areas The whole building is very beautifully designed Most of the walls are water molded But paired with wood and cute graffiti, the overall feeling is trendy and warm. There is no bathroom in the room, but there are three independent bathing areas on the first floor (you can bathe by yourself by locking the door) The front desk is very friendly and helpful It happened that the restaurant was closed for dinner and he recommended it to me + called to make a restaurant reservation. The recommended restaurants are also great! It's a pity not to have dinner But we had breakfast the next day, which was a Japanese buffet breakfast. Saury + white rice is really delicious! Overall I had a great experience

It’s an above and beyond hot spring hotel designed by Japanese well known architect. The design is outstanding, peaceful and stylish, especially love the firefly lamp inside the room. Served by professional staff who carry friendly smiles, delicious traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. I was attracted by KOLs to try the beef rice in the shopping street. It took me an hour in the queue, but then I found out the even better beef rice was already tasted at hotel dinner. Enjoy staff-led morning exercise and DIY handmade workshop. I did even enjoy solo outdoor hot spring under snowing. What a perfect stay at Kai Yufuin

A family-run Japanese hot spring hotel, with few houses and a large open courtyard. It is located in a quiet place in the bustling city, very close to Jinlin Lake. It is particularly quiet at night. When you go out during the day, you will be surrounded by the lively Tangping Street, with various specialty shops everywhere. Although Jinlin Lake is not big, it is very distinctive. There are schools of blue fish in the lake, which are like elves. It looks magical and healing. This hot spring is great. The hotel has only eight rooms, and there are also eight independent indoor hot spring baths of various colors, so you can take a private bath at any time. You can get the key at the front desk at any time for one hour each time. There is also a relatively large open-air bath for men and women, and the hot spring water quality feels very good. The breakfast is a Japanese set meal, which is exquisite and beautiful, and the rice is full. The uncle at the front desk and the sister and aunt who serve can speak simple English, and there is no problem with basic communication. The town is relatively quiet at night. Most shops will close at 17:30. There is a relatively large supermarket but it closes at 7 o'clock. I didn't order dinner at the hotel. You can still find some restaurants in the alleys on the side of the hot spring street. There are not many open doors. There is always 711, which can also solve dinner in an emergency. There is a hand-made soba noodle shop right in front of the hotel. It tastes pure and authentic. It is closed at night so you must go there at noon. The taste and style of the food match the style of this hot spring hotel very well.

When you arrive at the bus stop in Yufuin, there is a Seven right in front, so I bought snacks and came to the accommodation. If there was a young woman at the counter, she would have been so kind and guided me. The room is a key instead of a card key, which is a shame.. The room is a twin, and I came alone, so the size was just right. Even when I opened the window, I could see the outside facilities of Sendo. The bathroom has a sink and a toilet. I had to take a bath outside, and I couldn't use the family bath because I didn't have time. Check the family bath in advance and go! If you come to Yufuin, it's Yunotsubo Street!! There are many things to eat here. In particular, I recommend you try the cheesecake and bottled pudding. The golden croquette is delicious, and you should definitely try the grilled crab meat next to the main store. The sauce is as you like. When you get off at the accommodation and go down to the station, there is a yakiniku specialty restaurant called 'Wasaku'. It's really delicious. If you don't know, there is a chef (name tag'boss) in the kitchen. You can ask him for a recommendation. When you arrive at Yufuin, there are a lot of incense shops so there is a unique smell, but I didn't mind it!

Excellent location, just next to Oita JR station. Room is clean and well designed, bed is comfortable. However, the pillows are a bit too thin. Free Ramen serves at 9:30-11pm which is so good. Carpark is available onsite which costs ¥1500 per night but there are a few cheaper overnight carparks nearby hotel which are very convenient.

It was clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The room smelled a bit like cigarettes. I wish they would clean it with EM or something. Breakfast was delicious! My only request would be for them to provide some mentaiko and cake for dessert.

Love the location and the welcome drink (1 glass of sparkling wine and 1 cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate)

The hotel is in a great location, only a six-minute walk from Oita Station. There is a shopping street right next to the hotel, making it very convenient for dinner, late-night snacks or simple shopping. The point is that the hotel's breakfast is very delicious, with many options and a strong Japanese flavor. I highly recommend travelers staying in this hotel when visiting nearby.

Very nice hotel, very nice hotel, the room is very small, but it has everything. Japan's hygiene is a model for the world, all the rooms are very tidy, without a trace of dust.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Oita JR Station. There is a commercial street along the way to Oita Station, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. There is a vending machine, ice machine and microwave on each floor of the hotel, which is very convenient! There are also many hot spring shops next to the hotel.

This hotel is less than one kilometer away from Oita Station and can be reached on foot. Since there are not many hotel options near Oita Station, this one is quite recommended. It has a grand appearance, four-star configuration, and the hotel rooms are basically quite large. This one also has a bit of a warm feeling. Japanese hotels are a bit old, so most of them do not separate wet and dry areas. Overall, I am still very satisfied with this hotel.

The hotel is located in an area near restaurants, shops and supermarket so it is very convenient. The parking is next to the hotel but limited lots and must pay a ¥1000 and not complimentary. Breakfast was good with a variety of selections.

I returned home for the first time in a long while for my father's memorial service. It was close to the station and in the city center, so it was very convenient. I had stayed here before and found the amenities to be excellent and the drip coffee to be delicious, so I decided to stay again. The hotel staff were pleasant and explained things to me carefully, and I added breakfast, which was very delicious. I would like to stay here again the next time I return home.
