Really the best hotel we have stayed in in Liguria. We were even able to check in at 11:30 a.m. without paying an extra charge. The hotel is very well equipped. It is right in the middle of Genoa by the harbor. 1A!

We were looking for a special place to stay during our trip to Liguria, the main criteria of which were a breathtaking view of the sea from the window and the opportunity to experience high-quality service. Both criteria met and even exceeded expectations. The heated infinity pool was a great pleasure. It was a surprise to find a robe that was not up to the elbow of my 2 m tall man). I thank the hotel administration for a wonderful, albeit short, vacation!

The hotel is a bit outdated but still well maintained. The rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. It is walking distance from the airport so great if you have an early or late flight. The staff was friendly. The breakfast has great choice. Only negative remark is that both bookings we made a note (both to Trip and to the hotel itself) that we needed a baby crib and both nights the crib wasn’t ready upon arrival. It was quickly fixed though.

Cozy structure with many services; excellent buffet for breakfast. Too bad for the position far from the sea even if the structure offers a shuttle service which should be strengthened also covering the evening band. Overall positive experience.

Hotel located in a strategic location: just at the end of the road on which you can reach Camogli and in the correspondence of the municipal parking where you usually do not find any place. The hotel offers (€ 35 per day) private two-storey underground parking with large car seats, even if you need to be careful to reach the borders of the kiln tunnel suitable for small cars.
The room is irregular but with modern and functional style. The room is comfortable, the room is less comfortable, the room is in a position that requires innatural contours to see the instructions. 55-inch plasma TV is beautiful but poorly positioned. The bed mattress is very comfortable. Most gentle and kind staff. Because of our arrival times we could not test the services offered (sauna, hydromassage, etc ...) .

IILYANot the best B&B hotel despite the location (near the train station) and the old building with a history.
Breakfast is fine.
The majority of staff are friendly and polite.
Big clean rooms.
Wi Fi quality is poor though (I stayed on the 4th floor).
Also there are no drinking water taps on the 1st floor like in other B&B across the EU.

RRuslansI recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Grand Hotel Villa Balbi in Sestri Levante. It was an experience I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location and unparalleled hospitality this luxurious hotel offered.
The hotel is in a magnificent historical villa, surrounded by lush gardens and overlooking the spectacular Ligurian Sea. The breathtaking views of the sea and the picturesque town of Sestri Levante made my stay even more memorable.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff, attentive to my every need throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth and efficient.
My room was delightful, with a plush, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a rain shower.
The room was immaculately clean, and the housekeeping staff went above and beyond to ensure it remained so during my stay.
Breakfast was a lavish spread of freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, and various fruits and cereals, providing the perfect start to my day.
I took advantage of the hotel's beautiful outdoor pool area. The pool area featured comfortable loungers, allowing for relaxing and soaking up the Mediterranean sun.
The true highlight of my stay, however, was the exceptional service provided by the Grand Hotel Villa Balbi staff. They were always friendly, courteous, and eager to assist, making me feel at home. Their professionalism and attention to detail were commendable and contributed significantly to my overall experience.

But basically can't stand, no area, and the view will be blocked by other rooms, we just switched to other rooms. It feels like the room with 2 floors is the best room type. GGuest UserOur room was very comfortable and the 4th floor location was great! The room was listed as a garden view, but from our lovely terrace, we definitely had partial ocean view! We loved having a terrace complete with a table, 2 chairs, two lounge chairs and a remote control awning, to make shade if needed! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The front desk staff and the staff in the dining area were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were varied and good. We didn’t use the rooftop pool, lounge chairs, or hot tub but it looked fun. We also didn’t swim or access the private beach; the price of 50 Euros for 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella seemed a bit expensive. We were unsure if we could have gone there just to sit and have a drink without paying a fee. We should have asked.
The location is about a 20 minute walk from the train station and there are no sidewalks for a small section as you get close to the hotel, so you have to change to the water side of the street and then cross back over. The city buses from the train station seem to always be very, very full so using the bus with any luggage would have been almost impossible.

Location wise - excellent. Walking distance from La Spezia train station, only 8 min walk. Manageable with luggages. Walk to city center and port is also easy and around 15mins only. Because of the good location, we didn’t have to spend on Transportation! Nearby there are many shops to get water, there is also a Carrefour 300m away. Safe area with lots of local shops.
Rooms are very spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. There is a nice balcony to chill like an italian. They provide basic toilet amenities and even 2 bottles of water. Toilet is clean. Only bad thing is water pressure is quite slow so bath time takes long. However, the large and spacious room makes up for it. Room is also very quiet for a good night’s sleep. I slept very well.
Check in office is at another location around 100m away from property. Do note it is not at the same area.
Plus point is property had a small elevator for heavyweight luggages. Most italian buildings do not have elevators
Will definitely recommend this place! Very convenient and affordable. Highly recommend!

GGiasonelAfter booking for one night, I renewed it for another night. It is not far from cruise terminals such as the Heart of the Mediterranean, but it is still a bit far from the city center or the Genoa Aquarium.
There is a three-story esselunga supermarket behind the hotel, and a Japanese buffet opened by Chinese people is diagonally opposite the hotel gate.
Parking is very convenient. There is a special underground parking garage. There are also two gas stations next to it, and you can see the Genoa Lighthouse.
The hotel environment is good, but there are many children in the lobby, which is noisy because of the entertainment facilities. There is also a piano in the lobby. At the beginning, the piano cover was opened, but because there were always children playing it randomly and making noise, the staff directly put a giant teddy bear on the piano stool and closed the piano.
