Santa Barbara Motels

Stayed at the Oasis for 1 night while passing through and I honestly wish I could have stayed an additional night. The hotel from the outside does not look like much but the rooms are very cute. I got a King room in the rooms around the pool, not the 2 story building. The room wasn't very large but was more than enough space for 2 people. No closet, just an open hanging area above a bench in the corner. A desk and chair, microwave and mini fridge were in the room for use. Little bistro type seating in front of the rooms as well as two bigger tables for 6 people under a canopy with lights on both sides of the pool. The weather was nice so we grabbed food, ate outside and played board games. It is next to a busy street but the noise level was not bad. Location is far from your typical tourist spots in SB - beach and state street but for the price, it's worth the stay and there is plenty of parking around SB where you want to go so it wasn't a big deal to not be within walking distance. Staff was friendly as well.

This small motel was centrally located on Coast Village Road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Several restaurants within walking distance and the pier and beach area was a short drive. We felt very comfortable and safe walking to restaurants. The room we had was small, but clean. There was a small refrigerator. The biggest problem was the bathroom was very small. A larger person would have a hard time using it. As we are not large people, we didn’t have an issue, but I know they have larger rooms, so just be aware when booking to request a larger room with a larger bathroom if you think you may need it. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Nos alojamos en este hotel con mi esposo en nuestro camino hacia San Francisco, las habitaciones no son lujosas y hay algunos detalles en la pintura de la pared (desgastada), pero la cama es cómoda y todo estaba limpio. Está ubicado en frente de un supermercado y muchos restaurantes, además tiene parqueadero gratuito. Si buscas lujos no es tu hotel, si quieres descansar en una cama cómoda y limpia si es adecuado. Recomendado!

Excellent customer service. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel comfortable and secure after a long day of traveling. The view from the room was stunning you can literally smell the beach right from the comfort of your room. There is no way to get this close to the beach for the price. If you are on any kind of budget and want to save money for other things then this is the place to come. We will for sure return here next time we pass through the area.

Where do I start? When the two of us arrived for the 3 PM check-in, there was a note at the desk that someone would return in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, someone finally arrived and we were able to check in. The room was fairly clean (which is why I give it a 2 instead of a 1). It had a microwave and refrigerator that worked. There was a bare minimum of towels: one hand towel, two bath towels and washcloths, and one floor towel. There was a rack to hang clothes (not a closet) and a desk with a phone. The beds were firm and springy, but not terribly uncomfortable. There was a single electrical plug on the shared nightstand. Now, the negatives.While there was the single plug on the nightstand, that was it. There were no other options for plugging in electronics for charging unless it was at the desk or in the bathroom. It had a coffee maker with no cup, pot, coffee, or any of the other things needed to actually make coffee. There is no breakfast (as advertised). While there was an ice bucket, there was no plastic liner; one must apparently assume that these are sanitized (or use the trash can liner instead). The room was really too small for the two beds. One was up against the window A/C/heat unit (which was smelly and loud and was not used beyond turning it on to discover the smell and noise); the other allowed a 12-inch walkway into the small area containing the desk and hanging rod. The bathroom soap felt like a pumice bar and had to be rubbed vigorously to get the slightest of lather with the rock-hard water. The worst things? The water never got over 100 degrees, even when turned all the way to hot for a 10-minute shower, and there was no place to hang any towels. None. Not only that, there was no housekeeping to replace the used towels. One or the other needs to be a part of any stay. It was not what a 2.5-star experience should be.

The hotel is conveniently located with a boulevard that leads directly to the beach. There are many shops along the way, open to the beach and there are night markets selling a variety of vegetables and fruits, all very fresh. In particular, there is a 99-cent supermarket, which is cheaper to buy daily necessities and foods, vegetables and fruits, and buys a lot of things for more than a dozen dollars. I will have the opportunity to live in the future. Thank you!

I went to Santa Barbara for Parents Weekend. This hotel was the only one I could afford, so I booked it! I'm not super picky, and its one night. If you are looking for a decent price and don't really care about much else, then stay here. I'll start with the positive. The bed was super comfortable, the room was big, had great water pressure in the shower, there was fridge & microwave, and a nice TV. It's disappointing that a few things could make all the difference! For example, fresh paint, some new towels (the bath towels were awful!!!), some new carpet. They need to do a full bathroom remodel. The bathroom was small. The toilet ”rocked” when you sat down. The calking around the room was old and dirty. There was dust all over the place, to include the screens and windows. I feel like its a cross between charming and old. I'd probably stay here again if I had to, but I'll look around and try again.
