Xijin Ferry

This is a famous ancient ferry in Zhenjiang, where many battles have taken place. The main attractions include the Zhaoguan Ancient Pagoda and the Guanyin Cave. The Guanyin Cave is a paid attraction, where the Guanyin Bodhisattva is enshrined. The ancient street within the scenic area is modeled after the Ming and Qing dynasties' architecture. The street mainly features snacks, including Zhenjiang's most famous dishes: Yaorou Guogai Noodles and Red and White Braised Pufferfish. From the highest point, Yuntai Pavilion, you can overlook the ancient ferry and see the well-arranged ancient residences scattered throughout the scenic area. In the scorching summer, you can cool off in the air-raid shelter, which was built in the 1950s and 1960s. The air-raid shelter was a strategic location during the Liberation War, used for storing strategic materials and avoiding enemy bombings.
