I finally got to stay at Hoshinoya Taketomi Island for two nights. Taketomi Island is small enough that you can cycle around it, but I love it because it truly captures the true Okinawan vibe! 🌺 Access is super convenient: take a boat from Ishigaki Island to Taketomi Island, and then a Hoshinoya staff member will pick you up at the port. ☝️ All rooms are detached villas that are designated as "Important Traditional Buildings" by the national government, giving you a truly authentic island feel. ☀️ Looking out at the garden from our room, we were greeted by a vast expanse of hibiscus, blue skies, and greenery, making the experience even more extraordinary. 😌 [Meals] On our first night, we chose the "Island Terroir" dining room menu. Enjoy French cuisine featuring distinctive ingredients from the Yaeyama Islands. On our second night, we chose the "Inochikusa Kaoru Shima Nabe" hotpot, which can be enjoyed in your room. Enjoying a hot pot made with ingredients unique to Taketomi Island while taking in the beautiful scenery is an exceptional experience. 🌟 You can choose from four breakfast options to suit your tastes and mood. ◎ We chose the "Island Nine-Piece Breakfast" and the "Sea Breeze Breakfast." 🍞 [Pool] One of the highlights of our stay was the large pool.
