From the first step I took, I felt the positive energy and warmth hidden in every corner of this city. This is not just a big city. But it is a place full of fun, adventure, and unforgettable impressions. ⸻ Getting around Osaka: Super easy and convenient One of my first impressions was how great the public transportation system is. The trains are clean, safe, and punctual, and the English signs are clear, allowing me to easily travel from one point to another without having to worry about the language barrier. Using the ICOCA card also makes life even easier, because you can top up your card once and use it throughout the city. ⸻ Osaka Food: Happiness in Every Bite Osaka is a food lover’s paradise! Whether it’s “Takoyaki”, round balls with a crispy outside and soft inside, filled with fresh squid, topped with a sweet and salty sauce and mayonnaise, it makes me smile every time I eat it. “Okonomiyaki”, a Japanese pizza dish that combines vegetables and meat mixed with a special sauce Rich and well-rounded flavor, eating it hot is very comforting. “Kushikatsu”, a variety of fried skewers, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, dipped in Osaka’s special sauce, feels like having a party in your mouth. Desserts like matcha soft cream and Japanese crepes filled with fresh fruits and soft whipped cream make me smile so hard my cheeks almost burst every time I eat them. ⸻ Cute shopping and cafes: Cuteness that fills the heart Shinsaibashi and Americamura are must-visit shopping spots. I strolled through Don Quijote, which is full of a variety of items, from unusual snacks and sweets to cute collectibles that melt your heart. Each cafe here has its own unique character and cuteness. Some are decorated in sweet pastel colors, while others are cute and vintage. I like to sit and sip green tea and fresh fruit cake in small, warm and peaceful shops, like having a private resting corner in a big city. ⸻ Dotonbori: Neon lights and endless laughter At night, Dotonbori is filled with bright neon lights reflecting off the canal water. I took a walk along the canal with hot takoyaki in my hand and took a photo with the giant Glico sign, the symbol of the city. The atmosphere here was filled with happiness, laughter, and the chatter of people, making me feel like I was in a world full of fun and warmth. ⸻ Quiet Parks and Shrines: A Resting Place in a Big City Even though Osaka is a big city, there are still quiet parks and shrines where I can rest my heart. I like to walk in the shady parks, listen to the birds singing, and stop by the traditional shrines to pray.
