Osaka

Osaka… A city full of charm and vibrant colors that makes my heart race every time I visit. It feels like stepping into a world of endless happiness. Every corner of this city has adorable stories waiting to be discovered. Traveling around Osaka is incredibly convenient. I used the ICOCA card—just one top-up and I could ride trains and buses all over the city without worrying about tickets. The train system has clear English signs, and navigation apps helped me travel confidently without ever getting lost. The food here is pure bliss! Takoyaki, those round, crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside balls filled with juicy fresh octopus, topped with sweet and savory sauce and special mayonnaise—one bite feels like tasting happiness itself. Okonomiyaki, or Japanese-style pizza, made from soft batter mixed with fresh vegetables and meat, drizzled with special sauce and mayonnaise, is so delicious I had to have it multiple times. Kushikatsu, various types of skewered and fried goodies, crispy on the outside and tender inside, dipped in special sauce—so good I couldn’t stop eating. Desserts are equally delightful, like creamy matcha soft serve and Japanese crepes filled with fresh fruit and whipped cream, making every meal perfect. Shinsaibashi and Amerikamura are shopping paradises and havens for cute cafes. I strolled through Don Quijote, filled with adorable items and unique snacks. Each cafe is decorated with sweet themes, from pastel tones to vintage styles. I loved sipping green tea and enjoying fruit cakes in a peaceful atmosphere, which helped me relax and recharge. At night, Dotonbori is a must-visit spot. Neon lights of various colors reflect on the canal water. I strolled along the canal with hot takoyaki in hand and took photos with the giant Glico sign. The area is filled with laughter and smiles from people of all ages. The warm and joyful atmosphere here makes me want to stay forever. Despite being a big city, Osaka still has parks and tranquil shrines where I can find peace. I enjoy walking under large trees, listening to birds sing, and stopping by traditional shrines to pray. It brings a sense of calm and fills me with positive energy. Osaka taught me that happiness doesn’t have to be grand. Just walking slowly, eating delicious food, and exchanging smiles with strangers can fill your heart in ways you wouldn’t expect. I love Osaka for its natural and unpretentious charm. It’s a city full of warmth and small joys hidden in every corner. Osaka is a city for everyone, whether you’re traveling with someone or on your own.
