While the vegetation around Lake Pukaki hasn't yet completely shed the vestiges of winter, the grass is gradually turning a deep green. The clear, dry weather of September provided a pleasant energy as I walked around the lake. The blue of the lake, the white snow of the mountains, and the vitality of the land combined to create a vibrant landscape.
