Thanks to the 'September Travel Grant,' I was able to book accommodation around Lake Pukaki with a direct view of the lake and Mount Cook. The combination of the lake's milky blue color and the snow-capped mountains outside the window looked like a painting in a frame. Waking up to the lake's stunning colors in the morning—could there be a more perfect start to the day? Especially at sunset, watching the lake and snowy peaks turn crimson from the terrace with a glass of wine was an unforgettable romantic memory.
