#Winter travel destinations 📣 Don Rak Allied War Cemetery, or what Kanchanaburi people generally call the "English Cemetery", is a large cemetery on an area of ​​17 rai, containing the bodies of 6,982 prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Death Railway. ⛪ It is considered one of the places to commemorate the dead and shows the cruelty of war. 🛤️ This cemetery was created when the Thai government and the Allies agreed on August 24, 1954 to build two cemeteries: Don Rak Allied War Cemetery (Don Rak Cemetery) and another at Khao Pun Allied War Cemetery (or Chong Kai Cemetery).
