• Kanchanaburi War Cemetery or the United Nations Cemetery or what Kanchanaburi people call the "British Cemetery" is located on Saeng Chuto Road, Mueang Kanchanaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province. It is a place to store the bodies of prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Death Railway. The atmosphere in the cemetery is quiet and shady. It is well maintained. Most of the deceased were Australians, New Zealanders, Dutch and British. We mourn the deceased with respect.
