The former residence of Xu Xiake, a famous geographer of the Ming Dynasty.

Xu Xiake's former residence is located in Nanqi Village, Majhen, Jiangyin City (in memory of the great man, Majhen has been renamed "Xu Xiake Town"). It was destroyed by soldiers at the end of the Ming Dynasty, and Xu Junqian, the nephew of Xu, rebuilt it during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. By 1984, Xu Xiake's former residence only had a seven-room, two-story tile house. In 1985, the government allocated funds for major repairs. The former residence is a Ming-style building. The gate is hung with a plaque inscribed with "Xu Xiake's Former Residence" by Comrade Lu Dingyi. The exhibition hall displays Xu Xiake's biography, travel route maps, and pictures of the areas he explored scientifically, as well as karst specimens. On the right side of the patio, there is a Luohan pine tree transplanted by Xu Xiake himself, which has a history of more than 400 years.
