The magnificent temple is a stunning representation of Buddhist culture!

The Wukong Temple in Jiangyin. This temple primarily worships the Bodhisattva Guanyin and is of grand scale and splendor. Along the central axis from south to north, you will find the Inner Court of Tusita, the Yuantong Treasure Hall, the Heart Sutra Pavilion, the National Teacher's Court, and more. The main hall, Yuantong Treasure Hall, enshrines the Thousand-Handed Guanyin, and it was my first time learning that there is such a thing as the Thousand-Handed Guanyin😂. The wings of the Guanyin statue in the hall spread out layer by layer like a roc spreading its wings, and in front of the statue, various Phalaenopsis orchids are offered, filling the air with fragrance, and shoes must be removed before entering. The four walls of the great hall are transparent glass curtain walls, which provide excellent lighting and a majestic atmosphere. Exiting the Yuantong Treasure Hall to the north is the three-story Heart Sutra Pavilion, with its flying eaves and upturned corners, which is quite beautiful. Further north, there are buildings such as the National Teacher's Tower and the Great Lion's Roar. The right area mainly consists of the Guanyin Culture Park, which was not open when I visited. The most northern part of the left area is the Sangha Hall, which enshrines the Sangha master from the Western Regions during the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong of Song posthumously honored him with the title 'Great Sage,' and later generations revered him as the 'Great Sage Bodhisattva,' also known as 'Sizhou Great Sage,' considered an incarnation of the Bodhisattva Guanyin. The hall also enshrines the thirty-three incarnations of Guanyin, with their flowing sleeves and exquisite carvings. Inside the hall, dozens of monks were performing their religious practices, with the chant echoing around the beams. After completing their practices, the monks filed out and gathered in front of the chanting hall, possibly for self-study. The number of monks I saw in the various halls of Wukong Temple must have been over a hundred, suggesting there might be a Buddhist college here. There were not many tourists, but many monks, indicating that the monks here are truly devoted to pursuing Buddhist studies. Leaving the Sangha Hall and heading back south, you reach the Guanyin Pagoda, which sits on a large platform of layered floors, somewhat resembling the architecture of Lingshan. The predecessor of the Guanyin Pagoda was the Huazang Pagoda, which enshrines the true body relics of the Sizhou Great Sage and is usually not open to the public, so one can only walk around it. Finally, arriving at the square south of the Guanyin Pagoda, I saw the forest of Five Hundred Arhats. It really consists of five hundred life-sized Arhats, densely packed and arranged on the square according to the Qimen Dunjia and the Eight Gates, each with a different posture and expression, so vivid and lifelike that it's truly astonishing🎉
