Yuji Coffee Works

#Emotional Cafe Yuji Coffee Works was designed by architect Lee Seong-beom, who won the Acheon Architecture Award from the Korean Institute of Architects in 2024. You can see the landscaping that represents Jeju's emotions among the two triangular buildings reminiscent of pyramids. It is located on the road from Jeju Art Center to Wepark Complex, Halla Library in Ora-dong, Jeju City, a 10-minute drive from Jeju Airport. There is a parking lot on the way to the cafe, and if it is full, there is a space to park on the side of the road, so if you are driving, it would be good to check in advance. There are two internal spaces in total, the main building and the annex. The main building is located on the left, and since it was a soft opening period, it was a bit messy due to the overall construction, but there was no major problem using the cafe. There were various delicious slices of cake on the left side of the counter, and you can eat in the store as well as take out. The bakery items included campagne, sausage bread, good turners, seblock, ciabatta, caprazze, garlic baguette, salt bread, pollack roe mayo, pretzels, and croissants, and the neat setting made me have a hard time deciding what to eat. After ordering and receiving the signature coffee, almond latte, and campagne with fig, I went into the main building where there were tables. When I left the main building and entered the annex, I could see a view of numerous trees from a different angle, and there was a table where two people could sit side by side, so it was a good date course in Jeju City. In particular, the annex has a more forest-like atmosphere than the main building, and water flows down a stone reminiscent of Gotjawal, a forest path in Jeju Island, through one window, allowing me to fully feel the natural appearance and Jeju sentiment. The fig campagne ordered from the bakery menu can be cut with a fork and knife and is generous enough to replace brunch or a light meal.
