It was amazing visit where everybody at the resort was friendly and accommodated all our needs. Very clean and peaceful to surroundings, wonderful safari and the food were simply delicious thank you for a lovely stay.
advantage:
The overall architecture and garden view of the hotel are great, the swimming pool and restaurant are great
The room has welcome wine and snacks, and the room is facing the swimming pool to take pictures nice
The service of the staff is very good, which is praised.
shortcoming:
Room: I booked a king-size bed of 51 square meters in the online reservation, but the room arranged by the hotel is not like this at all. The room is not big and the bed is small. If you have booked on trips, you'd better confirm that the travel agency agent booked the room you want. Then the mattress collapsed and I slept very tired. Can hear the noise all night don't know what machine in the hotel is causing it.
Bathroom: toilet and shower The bathtub is very small, the hot and cold water is not well adjusted, and the bathrobe is too old.
Restaurant: Buffet in the morning and in the evening. There are not many things to accept in the morning. You can sit outside and face the swimming pool to feed the birds. They like to eat grapes. The quality of the buffet at night is very poor and it is not recommended to eat. You can go to the grill room next to you to eat, remember to make an appointment, that location is great for taking pictures, bonfire + dinner.
Travel: The hotel has a fixed number of buses to pick you up to the area you want to go to the resort. If you drive by yourself, you can only park your car at the hotel. There is basically no parking space outside and you cannot drive in the park by yourself.
Summary: If you come to Sun City, South Africa, this hotel is worth staying, and it is worthy of the 5-star feeling. But don't be too demanding about the food. The overall score is 7.8, which is one of the must-see items when you come to South Africa.
Very slow sluggish check-in, wifi does not work half the time very slow, and the light goes off every so often and the AC has to reset should woke me up all night long.
Location is very nice but everything else needs mayor improvement, I do see the owners and everything work hard but they are definitely missing the bigger picture.

The resort is situated in a quiet area, offering a peaceful retreat. It was clean, and the host was kind enough to allow us an early check-in. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant—perfect for when you don’t feel like heading out. I’d highly recommend trying it.
The chalets were spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone. The kids had their own beds, which was a big plus. However, I was disappointed that they didn’t provide basic essentials like water, tea, coffee, or sugar in the rooms—that was definitely a downside.
On the bright side, you can enjoy a braai right outside your chalet and take a short walk to the waterpark for a refreshing dip. The presence of security guards also added to our sense of safety, making our stay even more comfortable.
There is free parking, rooms are relatively small, breakfast is ok, the surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and there are some facilities for children to play. It is suitable for families with children.

GGuest UserThe place is lovely and great. Its more of a place to visit in summer or during warmer conditions though, because there is next to nothing to do if you're there during winter, especially if you're there with kids. Granted it was a nice breather from the buzz of Jozi, but thats literally all it has to offer. The staff and service as well as facilities are amazing, everything else is appreciated. Just short of alternative entertainment during winter time and the colder seasons.

FFur baby mamaThe hosts were lovely! I was suffering from jer lag so I had fallen asleep before they came to welcome us but the following day they came to say hi as well. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Very clean. Spotless! Comfy beds and sofas. Got to see some giraffe and zebras as well as impalas. Amazing sunsets. Will defo go back next year when I return for my annual visit home.
TTraveling TanWe had an amazing stay at Kwa Maritane! The rate included half board and two thrilling game drives. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were fantastic, always friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend Kwa Maritane for a perfect safari getaway.
NnealoverseasThe staff were great and very helpful although do seem to be constantly training new recruits.
Generally you feel relaxed. Food isn't great but its not bad either.
It is the best hotel in the town but does not feel like a top class Protea. More like a corporate driven entity rather than a unique experience - quite impersonal.
GGuest UserWe loved our stay at Ukutula, staff were very welcoming, room was comfortable, outdoor pool/gardens were great. We had dinner whilst there and food and service was excellent. Guides are very informative and the animal interactions were amazing. We will definitely visit again in the near future.
AAyushKWe had an amazing time at the lodge. Excellent facilities, amazing & friendly staff. The Safari arrangements were very safe, secure and perfect. We even enjoyed a Kids’ friendly safari.
The food was provided timely and they always had vegetarian options for us.
Overall - highly recommend.
