Superbe hôtel, calme et accueillant. Avons passé 8 jours et sincèrement on a été comme des coqs en pâte. Le personnel est très attentif et prévenant. Les chambres suffisamment grandes, propres et confortables avec une superbe vue sur la mer et Nazaré, et une literie au top. Les serveurs et serveuses lors des repas sont à nos petits soins. J'ai une pensée pour notre maître d'hôtel Luis, qui nous a choyés tous les soirs au restaurant. Je reviendrai avec un immense plaisir.

Выбрали отель из-за расположения - для однодневных поездок в Синтру, мыс Рока, Обидуш, Алкобасу и Баталью. Особых требований не было, использовали только как место ночевки. До центра городка можно дойти пешком за 10 минут. Через дорогу тихий и спокойный парк. В соседнем здании торговый центр с супермаркетом. Есть платная подземная парковка (одна для ТЦ и для отеля), мы парковались на уличной за ТЦ бесплатно.  Из минусов - после сильного дождя в один из дней на 3 этаже сильно пахло канализацией, на ресепшене объяснили что это особенность из-за старой канализации. Благо запаха в номере почти не было - только в коридоре. Завтрак стандартный, без изысков.

Although there are no natural juices, breakfast is very good. It has a lot of varied fruit and all sorts of good things. The mattress on the bed was a disgrace, very bad indeed. Cleaning is also not perfect and has carpet. The water in the outdoor pool was green and very cloudy. With the exception of one girl at breakfast, the staff are not very friendly.

The leisure part of the hotel is good, but the fact that the pool/jacuzzi area is in the area leaves a little to be desired as there is a timer for the activities. Check-in service was excellent. The view from the room was also very good.

PPassporttoPalateThis hotel has become well known for being a book lovers haven. The hotel itself is super interesting and each room is different. My friend and I each stayed in different parts of the hotel and had very different looking and feeing rooms. Which means each time you stay there; there could be a new discovery. The hallways and corridors are lined with books. Even if you don't stay here I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. The food was amazing every time. The only thing I would recommend if this hotel needs more cozy reading areas. They have a couple but they are not the most comfortable places to sit; although they are definitely aesthetically pleasing and fit the vibe of the hotel's history. We spent a lot of time out in the courtyard reading; there's a great spot under a large tree with canvas chairs.

GGuest UserThe village, Aljubarrota, is itself of great historical interest. It is around 10 minutes to Alcobaca. We found the area to be very pleasant. As for the Casa da Padeira itself, the quality of service and comfort was extremely good. For example, the breakfast was excellent, as were the rooms and the immediate surroundings of the Casa. I should add that we were given a list of suggested restaurants in the vicinity which turned out to be quite useful. In all, this was a surprising, very worthwhile visit.

Location is about the best you can get, about 50 meters away from the beach roaf. the only cons is that you probably need to park the car somewhere else. We had a nice seaview from our balcony. Breakfast was ok.

GGuest UserThe hotel parking lot is very small (only 7-8 parking spaces on the roadside, coordinates 39.363078, -9.156986), parking is difficult. Please contact the hotel before departure to confirm the route to the city, so as not to catch it. For our stay in April 2019, only the Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça gate can enter the city, then turn right, follow the R. do Cel. Pacheco road to the top and then turn right, continue for 50 meters until There is a parking space under the castle. The front desk is in the garden at the end of the road. There are signs that can't go wrong. When leaving the city, first return to the entrance of Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça, then turn right (Graça gate can only enter the city, can not leave the city), south of the city wall all the way to the Portal de Óbidos gate (the gate Can only go out of town, can not enter the city), and then out of the city. There may be many steps from the parking space to the hotel room. It is recommended that older or infirm people arrange the front desk baggage helper (please pay the appropriate tip. For reference, if we have two large luggage, we will pay a 5 Euro tip). The 24-hour front desk staff is warm, professional and satisfied. The interior facilities of the room are in line with the website description and are comfortable. Satisfied with the waiter cleaning, emptying the trash, changing towels and making the bed in the daily room. The shower hot water is very good, no worries. No slippers in the room, please bring your own. The hotel restaurant view and service are very good. Rich breakfast and high quality. Beautiful dinner. The lounge is very comfortable and don't forget to enjoy it. There is a hidden door in the restaurant that leads directly to the top of the castle, so you can climb the high view and not miss it. Before the arrival of the early morning tide of Obidus and the retreat of the evening crowd, the light is soft, quiet and full of the original taste of the ancient city, which is worthy of sweeping the street. The inner city is not big, there are only three main streets in the north-south direction, and it takes only 1-1.5 hours to walk around.
