It exceeded expectations. The area is large, the house is new (the whole building), the view is good (facing the lake and snow-capped mountains), there is indoor parking in the front and a garden in the back. The kitchen is large, the tableware is complete, and there is a washing machine and dryer. It is really convenient
The scenery outside the window is beautiful, the bedding is comfortable, the room is warm, the breakfast is exquisite and delicious, and the management staff are enthusiastic.
I missed the 2 navigations on my phone. I drove around a little bit and finally parked my car in a roadside parking space. I walked more than 20 meters before I found it. I could park my car for free in the parking space. It is said that this is a somewhat old house. The decorations in the hall and the rooms are antique. The location is very good, located in the historical district, close to Woolworths Green Supermarket. The service is very friendly.
The hotel is in a good location, a few kilometers from the town. It is spacious and clean. It is very comfortable to stay in. The car is parked downstairs, which is very convenient. The location on the second floor is very quiet. It is one of the few hotels in New Zealand where I stayed for two nights.
The lady staff at the front desk was very helpful. She went out of her way to accommodate my family checking in a couple of hours early. She also made available a two queen bed room so that my teenage daughters didn't have to share a bed. The breakfast buffet delicious and worth the buck. Thank you Kingsgate Hotel staff for ur wonderful service.
Holiday Inn Express and Suites is a lovely place to stay in. Booked a room facing the mountains and lake. Beautiful views every morning. Convenient as it is close to Queenstown Centre where there are many eating places and restaurants, including the famous Fergburger.
Although I read about it being on a steep slope, I went ahead to book the place as Queenstown Botanic Gardens is just opposite a few streets away. Decided to take a longer but gentler walk back to the hotel from Queenstown Centre so that the walk is not that tiring.
Highly recommend this place as the staff is so friendly and hospitable. Close to Skyline & meeting place for Milford Sound Tour.Would definitely stay here again if I visit Queenstown.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a short trip and was looking for a room with a lake view, easy access to the airport, and proximity to town. It met my basic expectations.
Pros:
- Clean and well-maintained room.
- Room size is comfortable for two adults.
- 24-hour reception is very convenient.
- Bus stops (Bus 1) are right in front of the hotel.
- The balcony with chairs and a table offers a serene view of the river.
- Buffet breakfast starts early at 6:30 AM, which is great for me as my coach to Lake Tekapo was at 8am.
- Room comes with all necessities, plus a microwave, which was a huge bonus for me.
Cons:
- Booked a lake-view room, but the view was partially blocked by bushes/trees as the room was on Level 2.
Located next to a busy main road, and passerby visibility made it feel less private.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends for its convenience and comfort.
The room was exceptionally clean and cozy, and the proximity to restaurants, a supermarket and shopping street are within walking distance was convenient. The only problem is the parking, we didn't manage to secure a hotel parking lot, thus we are struggling to find the free carpark nearby. Luckily, the parking is free for those parks at the roadside. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.
Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is a top notch hotel, just 5 minutes drive from the airport. If you want a quick rest from a long journey this one should quickly come to your rescue from travelling fatigue.
Everything about the hotel is good including friendly staff. The only drawback is its location which is a bit far from town or main activities. If you don’t have a car then surely you should be prepared to Ubar and Tax every time you want to go out.
The hotel service staff is very good, especially the Japanese female staff member who is very nice. She changed the room we booked to the one in the picture. We can cook, parking is convenient, and the scenery is unbeatable. I will stay here again next time!

TTA very beautiful hotel which needs a bit of uphill walk for about 15 mins from the town centre. There're no shops restaurants in the neighbourhood but one can eat at its restaurant or room service. The room itself is very spacious, clean, well equipped and our room overlooks the lake which is great. The pickup point for Milford Sound tour we joined is along the street in front of the hotel (Stanley Street).
I tried the buffet breakfast which is so so with limited choices.
Overall I love this hotel especially the price is great compared with other hotels at the very central location.
BBingBlinkLyLo Queenstown locates at good location! There are many famous restaurants nearby there. You just take around 5 mins to go to Ferg family by walking. I think the kitchen is quite small because have users a lot but everything is clean, also bathroom.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: Complete kitchen facilities, very good, bought ingredients from a nearby supermarket, and cooked by myself
Hygiene: Clean and spotless
Environment: Right on the roadside, a little noise from passing vehicles at night, but acceptable because too tired
Service: The front desk is very responsible, but looks a bit cool and feels quite serious. There was a misunderstanding about the child's room fee, and Ctrip solved it perfectly, great

It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town center. It’s convenient to have breakfast at McDonald’s next door. It’s 30 minutes walk to see Blue Penguin. About minutes.
이이진희We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs.
As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.
AAudrey ExplorerOut of town, but enjoyed the quiet place. There are 2 nice restaurants opposite the hotel. We are greeted by happy hotel staff that makes the stay pleasant.
AAylwinDDoubletree was a last minute decision upon arriving Queenstown from Mt Cook. Although it is pricey, no regrets getting a room here for 2 nights. It came with a fully furnished kitchenette where you could do some cooking but didn't utilize this since we ate out. One peeve I don't understand is the need to pay for parking since onsite (NZD$ 16 per nite). There's ample parking and for guests that drive in, this should be complimentary for stay duration.
Location is outside of Queenstown but water taxi available from hotel dock. Recommend for the environment and fantastic room but giving 3 stars for facilities due to need to pay for parking.
Location by the lake allows peace and quiet and also wildlife encounters. Front desk staff during checkin time was very attentive and helpful as well.

GGuest UserI think it was nice to be able to open and close the door using the app, and be able to come home even late at night.
It was also very convenient to be close to the center, and it was close to the lake so it was easy to go for a walk.
The staff were friendly and tried to understand my poor English, which made me happy.
The common areas seemed untidy.
It seems that the staff cleans up the kitchen every day, but the kitchen space is not very organized.
(I don't think there's anything we can do about it, since this is a problem on the user's side...)
There was no free space in the refrigerator, and I felt like the facilities weren't keeping up with the number of people staying there.
I also felt that the inside of the room was not very clean.
There was what I thought was a security box, but the lock was broken so I couldn't use it, and although the bed sheets were clean, the comforter wasn't that clean.
Also, the Christmas party was held until late, so if you don't like that kind of hustle and bustle, I think you should avoid making reservations during Christmas.
