The advantages are that the room is indeed very large, showing signs of age but still quite clean. There's also a direct shuttle bus from the airport, and the surrounding location is very convenient. Apart from that, the service is basically zero. No one helped with luggage upon arrival, nor did anyone guide us on where to check-in. There was virtually no Chinese-speaking service, which made me wonder if it was intentional. The only time staff would engage was to ask if you were a casino guest, directing casino guests to a specific counter for check-in, while ordinary guests were completely ignored, and no one proactively asked about our needs. When checking in, I asked if a higher floor was available. The front desk replied that it wasn't her decision, but rather determined by the person handing out the room key at 3 PM. However, when I went to collect the room key later, the staff there said the room had already been assigned by the front desk during my check-in. So, who was lying? There wasn't even an umbrella in the room, and when I asked the lobby, they said all umbrellas were lent out. This is the first time I've encountered a five-star hotel that doesn't provide enough umbrellas. The consumed tea bags and coffee sachets weren't replenished on the second night, and don't even think about turn-down service or a second cleaning. As a Hyatt member, I received no benefits whatsoever, not even a fruit platter. It seems the owner is quite indifferent to the hotel group it's affiliated with. All of the above could still be tolerated, but then something ridiculous happened. On the second night, at 3:30 AM, a strange ringing sound appeared from outside the door, waking me up. It was intermittent. At first, I thought some gambler had stumbled into the wrong room and pressed the doorbell. Looking through the peephole, there was no one there. Terrified, and remembering a certain case, I searched frantically around the room in the middle of the night, only to discover the sound was coming from the automatic toilet in the bathroom – a musical sound that couldn't be turned off. It was too late to deal with it, so I reluctantly unplugged it and went back to sleep. The next day, plugging it back in, it still made that weird noise, and without power, it couldn't flush. Frustrated, I called the front desk. They seemed to have encountered this before, as a young man arrived with a new toilet seat within minutes and replaced it immediately. He didn't speak Chinese or English, just swapped it and left. From start to finish, no one offered an apology for waking me up in the middle of the night. I couldn't even sleep peacefully and ended up leaving right away. Later, when I returned to my home country and stayed at a Crowne Plaza hotel for a few hundred yuan a night, I was truly touched when the doorman came out with a luggage cart to help us with our bags the moment we stepped out of the car.

Our second stay and I would love to return again It's basically a honeymoon / baby hotel. Many young couples and families with children under 10. Very calm and peaceful. Clean, nice, heated pool. Breakfast could be better, we opted out, but it's still convenient. The sauna is absolutely wonderful, I really healed my body and soul there. As for the room type, the last year we stayed in a standard view room. You have to know that there is NO view. It was a ground floor room with all the consequences. We didn't use the balcony at all. This year we chose garden view but got upgraded to a poolside view. The poolside view honestly made the stay. Choose poolside or at least garden view if you can. Try to stay away from standard view. There's also this hill suite building, we'll probably try and book a room there next year but we couldn't quite figure out how to use the spa. It wasn't clear if the building has its own spa or some overpass or underpass, or you'd have to walk across the road to the main building. The beach is 5 minutes away by car and around 30 on foot. There's surfing lessons and surf rentals there, you can rent a chair, an umbrella, a sunbed and a tube. Also, if you're thinking Lotte because of the closeness to the beach, note that the pedestrian walk to the beach is awful from there. It's 5-10 minutes of stairs.

We were warmly welcomed by a lady staff member with a sweet, cheerful smile, and were able to check in early before the official check-in time. Our room came with a balcony offering a full ocean view, which was beautiful. However, the room itself was quite old, with an outdated design. Only reusable slippers were provided instead of disposable ones. The bed was too bouncy, and we could feel the springs inside. The pillows were also too thin and uncomfortable. Breakfast had a very limited selection, though the taste was acceptable. The hotel is nicely located right in front of the ocean, with a spacious open area across the road where locals set up camps and jog along the seaside. We also saw some locals playing basketball at the large court nearby. A special mention to the staff who helped us order fried chicken delivery — he kindly recommended popular local choices, and we really appreciated his help. If the hotel improves the room quality and comfort, it would be a perfect place to stay.

The location is fantastic, right by the sea. The ocean view from the sea-view room was beautiful and absolutely worth it. Downstairs, you'll find a CU convenience store and plenty of restaurants, which is incredibly convenient. It's also close to OY and Haenyeo Bibimbap. The only minor downside is that it might feel a bit tight for two people with large suitcases, though the bathroom is surprisingly spacious.

The environment and the pictures are exactly the same, and the facilities aren't old. The indoor pool is a bit of a walk from our building. The free airport shuttle is spacious and comfortable, and it departs on time. The check-out policy isn't very user-friendly. We told the front desk in advance that we wanted a 2 PM check-out so our child could nap, but they started calling us at 1 PM, and by 1:30 PM, a staff member came to our door to urge us to leave. The nap was completely disturbed, and my child didn't get to sleep. The children's section of the buffet only offered chocolate ice cream and desserts. Our child, who is under two, could only eat some seaweed rice balls and red bean buns. If you go late, the red bean buns are sometimes gone for the day. For the adults' food, we could only eat some rice noodles, braised beef with carrots, and boiled eggs. Most of the other dishes had a strong pepper and garlic flavor, and our child complained they were spicy and wouldn't eat them. We really didn't see many vegetables. Occasionally there were some mushrooms, but they were either sweet or spicy. It's not very convenient for young children to eat there. There are also limited restaurant options nearby. The grilled pork was too thick and not tender enough to eat. The pool was fun, and the children's area was large and great to play in. The balcony door in our room kept the noise out at night. We stayed on the 7th floor. We didn't even go to the beach because it was too far to walk with a child. We took a taxi to a different bathhouse.

My friends and I chose Bolton Hotel for our Jeju Island vacation, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision. Every aspect, from check-in to check-out, made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The hotel's downtown location is incredibly convenient, offering easy access to both the airport and major attractions. The surroundings are quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. Our room was impeccably clean and felt very cozy. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable and springy, and the room felt slightly larger than described. The bathroom was very spacious with a separate wet and dry area, all the facilities were new, and there was plenty of hot water. The free Wi-Fi was also very fast. The three of us girls stayed in a family twin room and never felt cramped at all. However, the staff truly deserve the highest praise! The front desk personnel could communicate fluently in both Chinese and English, were incredibly friendly, and always ready to answer any questions. Our room was also cleaned promptly and meticulously every day. If I visit Jeju Island again, I will definitely choose this hotel once more. I highly recommend it to all my friends coming to Jeju!

Overall, a pretty good stay. It's very close to the beach, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within easy walking distance, which was super convenient. The buffet breakfast was also a highlight, even offering ice cream and kid-friendly plates and food. While the facilities are a bit dated and the bathroom is small without a separate wet and dry area, having a balcony was a plus. Despite these points, I still found it to be a good option. It's also conveniently located not far from the eastern attractions.

Jeju Marriott Shinhwa World is a comprehensive, one-stop resort hotel, perfect for families and vacations, with extensive facilities. However, its location is relatively remote, with a drive of over an hour from the airport. 🏨 Overall Hotel Review: 1. **Rich Facilities, Family-Friendly**: The hotel boasts indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a water park (some areas are chargeable), and is adjacent to Shinhwa Theme Park. It also features a kids' club, bowling alley, and a wide array of entertainment options. 2. **Comfortable Stay**: The rooms are spacious with comfortable bedding. Some rooms include a bathtub and a separate shower. The overall cleanliness receives high praise. 3. **Diverse Dining Options**: The hotel offers several restaurants, including Sky on 5 Dining for international cuisine, Jeju Seon for Korean dishes, and a Chinese restaurant, catering to various tastes. However, dining prices are on the higher side. 4. **Service and Location**: The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is located in Andeok-myeon, a relatively remote area of Seogwipo City, quite a distance from Jeju city center and popular attractions. It's more suitable for those driving themselves or planning an in-depth stay within the resort area. 5. **Main Drawback**: The hotel's soundproofing isn't great. During my stay, I could constantly hear furniture being moved upstairs at night, which was very noisy.

Facilities: This time I stayed in a more 'selected' twin room. To be honest, the two beds weren't very different, and the double bed was quite cramped for two people, plus they couldn't be pushed together. The most annoying thing was how incredibly soft the beds were; it felt like sleeping on a trampoline, especially the double bed – if one person turned over, the other would wobble too, which really disturbed our sleep. The blankets were also very noisy, making a rustling sound that also affected sleep. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned daily, and the hygiene was excellent. Environment: The location is superb, right opposite Shilla Duty Free. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it very convenient. The hotel exterior looks quite upscale. Service: The staff proactively offered slippers and towels. Check-in and check-out procedures were very smooth, and their attitude was excellent. Slippers are complimentary, but toothbrushes and toothpaste cost extra, and the drinks in the fridge are also chargeable. Only two bottles of water are free, but they replenish another two bottles the next day. Luggage storage is free, which is great.

AAnonymous UserPros: 🧹 Excellent housekeeping service, quite thoughtful in my opinion. They replaced the trash bags and fresh towels daily, but left everything else, including the bed, untouched. (The toilet was also great, even for a smart toilet, it wasn't overly complicated like some I've seen in China.) 📍 Convenient location, the bus stops for daily outings were either right outside or just a quarter roundabout away. Cons: 🛁 I can't understand why there was a shower curtain in the shower area! Every time I showered, water inevitably splashed onto the floor and toilet outside. It's just a piece of fabric! 💨 Another issue was the air conditioning design; it blew directly onto one bed, and the vents couldn't be adjusted to blow towards the wall. Thankfully, the bed was movable, so shifting it solved the problem and even created more open space in the room. Despite these two hardware flaws, the overall value for money is very high. It's a great option for budget-conscious travelers.

SSixirenguiWe stayed in a family room with one 1.5m queen bed and one single bed, which was perfect. It's always challenging to find suitable accommodation when traveling with older kids, so I was very pleased this time. The hotel is also very close to the airport, a taxi ride is only about 6,000-7,000 Korean Won and takes about 10 minutes. If you plan to use public transport to places like Udo Island or other distant attractions, you can easily go to the airport bus terminal. Plus, there's a Lotte Duty-Free shop downstairs, so grabbing an MLB cap was super convenient. The window couldn't open, but the view was great, facing the ocean where you could see planes taking off and landing. Once it quieted down at night, you could hear a slight hum from the planes – something to consider if you're very sensitive to noise. There were no slippers, toothbrushes, or toothpaste provided, but bottled water was replenished daily, and when we asked for extra, the staff were very generous. Overall, the service was quite good. We arrived around 12 PM and were immediately checked in. On our last day, we had already checked out early, but then a family member felt unwell. After a brief discussion, they promptly cancelled our check-out and allowed us to return to our room to rest until 11 AM.

GGuest UserI booked a standard single room. It felt like the room was a little small, but it was spacious enough to stay for one person. There was everything you needed. I went to Jeju just for a walk, ‘Olle Tracking’. The reason I chose this hotel is because this place was within walking distance of Olle 1, 2, and 3 courses. The other thing is that they had very different kinds of stores, so you didn’t need to go outside for food. This time I finished only the 2nd course, but the wind and bad weather made it hard for me to finish. But even though it was hard for me, I was happy with it. Next time I’m trying to decide to finish 1 and 3 courses, I wish it was good weather at that time.

Ddaisy9191This hotel truly defies description. On the surface, the exterior is absolutely fine – modern, grand, and beautiful. The pool was also quite decent. BUT!!! For a hotel costing 2,000-3,000 RMB a night, I could almost overlook the absence of breakfast and a sea view. However, the bathroom was an absolute disaster. Honestly, it's worse than a 200 RMB budget hotel back home. There was a filthy glass door, grime in every nook and cranny, and even the white mugs in the minibar had tea stains! If it weren't for the endless positive reviews on Xiaohongshu (XHS), I genuinely would not have chosen this hotel. Compared to the Shilla Hotel next door, the hygiene is appalling!!! And the service is dreadful!!! If you're just looking for photo opportunities and a 'pretty picture' for your social media, then by all means, go. But if you're hoping to truly relax and enjoy a wonderful holiday, I absolutely do NOT recommend it!

Jjrwa****The location is fantastic! Downstairs, you'll find BHC, a 30-year-old ox bone soup restaurant, and grilled black pork. Lotte and Shilla duty-free shops are just a ten-minute walk away. It's also close to Baojian Road (Health Road). The value for money is quite good. Most hotels in Jeju Island are older, but the cleanliness is generally fine. The facilities, however, can't compare to newer hotels. The bathroom door kept springing back, so you couldn't leave it open; you had to open it every time you went in or out, which was quite annoying. The room was much larger than those in Japan, with plenty of space for two suitcases. Many tour groups, both Chinese and Korean, stay here. It's convenient for everything, whether you're going to the airport, dining, shopping at duty-free, or joining a tour group. It's right in the tourist-heavy city center.

KKesavan (K7)I stayed one night at Jeju Ollero, but it felt like three days of pure relaxation. The location is excellent—close to restaurants, cafés, and the scenic promenade. The lounge window offers stunning views of the calm, deep-blue ocean, and the coffee shop next door was the perfect spot to soak in the ambience. Even more interesting for me as a royalist was to be greeted by Queen Elizabeth II memorabilia. 🥰 Mr. Yun and his family were exceptionally welcoming and even allowed me a late checkout at a small cost. I highly recommend this homestay and will definitely return on my next visit to Jeju.

GGuest UserA few things to update from the most recent review: the 7-11 next door is gone/being renovated; you cannot cook inside of your room even though it has a burner, etc. and not all rooms have a washing machine (photos a bit misleading). However, there is a laundry machine available for use, you just need your own detergent. Very friendly and helpful staff. The cook-your-own breakfast was a great deal for us as a family. The roof top is amazing, 360 views of the sea and mountains, truly stunning.
