I haven’t stayed in this kind of hotel before, so I don’t have much to compare it to — but our experience was great. We did the typical sightseeing route around Hakone. While you can get closer to the Mount Fuji, it takes more time and an earlier start.
The hotel had everything we needed, so we didn’t even need to go to a store. Breakfast and dinner were both filling and had a good variety.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a nice view of the station and mountains. The hotel is right next to the station, which made getting around very easy — and the trains didn’t bother us at all, the sound was even kind of calming.
The public onsen baths were excellent, so we didn’t actually need a private bath in the room.
Absolutely recommend,My first choice in Yokohama, the staffs, the environment, all of it is great, especially the room, big enough compare to other hotels in Japan. Btw,is very close to Yokohama station, easy to get train.
We decided to stay in this hotel, because it located nearby Haneda Airport. It was very good decision. Beautiful view from windows, store nearby, clean room and very polite personal. And they have transfer to airport.
A very good experience of stay. Good location which right next to the JR station, shopping mall and a wonderful harbour view during my stay. So many food and shopping choose around the hotel. Staffs are so nice and helpful. Will come again next time!!
The location is excellent, right outside Ofuna Station. It's incredibly convenient for transportation, offering easy access to Enoshima and Kamakura. The area also boasts many delicious and affordable dining options, giving it a vibrant local feel. The hotel provides luggage storage, and there's a generous selection of complimentary toiletries for guests to use. While there's an occasional faint train noise, it's hardly noticeable and didn't disturb our sleep at all; we slept wonderfully. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

I stayed at this hotel in early May, and the experience was far from satisfactory.
**Onsen Experience:**
The onsen features three baths, all at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for beginners. The sauna, however, only reached 50 degrees, lacking intensity. Still the Onsen were good with nice atmosphere.
**Room Quality:**
Our initial room was next to an elevator, even though we asked for the opposite and had a strong smell of smoke. Upon requesting a room change, we were relocated to a lower floor room that was outdated. The odor from the old carpet was pervasive, and despite using deodorant spray and keeping the window open for two days, it remained a discomfort.
**Breakfast Incident:**
Unfortunately, we also encountered a rather unpleasant situation during breakfast. We had booked the meal, which was not inexpensive, and arrived at the buffet before 9:30 and thought that the buffet closes at 10:00 AM and we still can eat but not take something from buffet, as is customary in other hotels. However, at exactly 10:00, the restaurant staff insisted we leave, abruptly telling us that the restaurant was closed. We had to abandon our food and drinks that we just took 9:50 and exit the restaurant. This was particularly frustrating, as they had seen us taking food earlier and never mentioned that we couldn’t finish our meal. There was no flexibility to allow us even an extra 10 minutes to eat.
**Overall Impression:**
The service was not customer-oriented, and the overall experience did not justify the price of €250 per night. Also, unfortunately we experienced a view negative situations and given the combination of issues, I personally would stay in this hotel again nor can I recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
I'm genuinely so pleased with this place, I absolutely have to rave about it!
First off, the location is incredibly convenient, super close to Kawasaki Station. I took the Tobu Line from Tokyo Station, and it was less than 30 minutes. I actually think it would be perfectly fine to stay here even if you're planning to explore central Tokyo. It's also just a 10-minute walk to Keikyu Kawasaki Station, making the trip to Haneda Airport a breezy 30 minutes – so convenient!
However, a crucial tip: when you exit the station, *do not* go down to the first floor! Head straight out from the second floor of the station, and you'll see the hotel's main entrance right there. You won't find the entrance if you're on the ground floor. I actually spent quite a while wandering around on the first floor following my map, until a very kind Japanese gentleman personally guided us to the hotel's front desk. I was so thankful for his help! 🙏 Later, I discovered a trick: searching for the hotel's breakfast restaurant on Google Maps makes it much easier to locate (I've included a screenshot in my photos).
The hotel is quite new, and the service is truly excellent. My friend had sent a package from Shinjuku to the hotel, and when I checked in, the front desk staff promptly retrieved it for me and even had it delivered to my room along with my luggage. Talk about service!
I booked the most basic twin room, but it was surprisingly spacious. It wasn't on a low floor, and the city view from the window was quite expansive. What's more, the bathroom counter was generously sized – a rare find in Japanese hotels – with plenty of space for all my toiletries and cosmetics. While the room didn't provide skincare like toner or lotion, they did offer two packets of bubble bath, which made for a wonderfully fragrant soak in the evening!
Furthermore, the hotel breakfast was genuinely delicious with a wide array of choices, including a live egg station for freshly prepared dishes. Overall, it felt like a lot of thought and effort went into it. They even provided paper cups in the beverage area so you could take drinks to go – such a thoughtful touch!
Besides the convenient transportation, shopping is also a breeze if you're not looking for luxury brands. There's a Matsumoto Kiyoshi right downstairs, stocked with many popular trending products. Just past the connecting corridor from the hotel, you'll find a Montbell store with a good selection, and importantly, they offer tax refunds! There are also tons of dining options nearby, including a yakiniku restaurant visited by Goro (from *Kodoku no Gurume*), though unfortunately, I couldn't find it. I ended up at a slightly pricier but truly delicious one inside 'Dice' nearby!
I stayed for one night during the summer on July 9th, and the room, including breakfast for two, cost just over ¥1200. While not exactly cheap, it offered significantly better value for money compared to hotels in central Tokyo! What's more, when I checked Trip.com after my trip, I saw that the same room type was ¥300 cheaper on July 12th! That's incredible value! If I ever visit Tokyo again, I fully intend to stay here.

Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel: Clean and Comfortable, Despite its Age
The Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel offers a clean and comfortable stay, even though it may be slightly older. While the rooms might be on the smaller side, they provide a good space for rest and relaxation.
A particular highlight seems to be the excellent condition of the showers and the cleanliness of the toilets. These are important aspects of a comfortable stay, and it's great to hear they are well-maintained.
If you're looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in Shin Yokohama, where a good night's sleep is a priority, this hotel could be a good option, even if it doesn't offer the most spacious rooms.
Sure! Here’s a concise and honest review based on your notes:

Among the four budget hotels I stayed at during my trip to Japan, this one ranked the lowest overall. The cleanliness was decent (4/5), but the staff service could really use improvement — they were not as attentive or helpful compared to other places. The breakfast was quite disappointing (2.5/5), with limited options and lacking in quality. While it served its purpose for a short stay, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again given better experiences elsewhere at a similar price point.

MMazinglyOne of our favourite place in Japan, onsen directly on the balcony in your room. They provide with everything from kids slippers to any amenities you can think of they have it. We went to the water park just across the building. Eateries inside the restaurant & other just nearby. Suitable for family to stay in, my boys love this place. Free drinks & ice creams. Breakfast was sumptuous. Just love this place.
YYangjiaxiaoguotieThe hotel's sky pool was advertised as a highlight, but I didn't bring my swimwear so I couldn't use it. I tried to just look around, but the front desk informed me guests could only view it from outside. From what I could tell, it didn't even seem to be an infinity pool. The room itself, however, was great. There's a convenience store on the second floor, and a Blue Bottle Coffee shop conveniently located right next to the lobby on the first floor. Unfortunately, I hadn't done enough research and ended up missing the Yokohama Fireworks Festival, which was a real shame.
AAnonymous UserGood
1. Free breakfast
2. Breakfast had lots of bread variety
3. Free drink machine (soft drinks & coffee w matcha latte!)
4. Have free amenities for you to take
5. Location is near station and lots of shops surrounding too
Neutral:
- 2x washing machine & dryer but because of their popularity, have to fight for a chance to use them
Bad
- can be quite confusing to get to if you don’t go from station but the surrounding shops
BBolanghaoxiaoxiannvThe hot spring hotel is very beautiful, and it feels very old when you walk inside. The public areas are carefully decorated, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are private hot springs that can be booked, and there are not many people in the public hot springs. You can directly book a hot spring before breakfast. Dinner and breakfast are delicious. There is a young lady who speaks super fluent English. Communication is barrier-free, and every dish is very clear. The only drawback is that the location of the hotel is not very convenient if you don't have a private car. You need to call to pick up the station. If you don't have a mobile phone number, you can contact by email, but you can't guarantee timely contact... If you drop off at the check-out time, you can only be sent to Sheguye to take the bus, but there are not many buses, and they are not very punctual, so you may have to wait for a long time. Except for the inconvenient transportation, other experiences are great!
SSarahThe hotel is conveniently located in the CBD, just a 3-5 minute walk from the subway station and 5-8 minutes from MARKIS mall. While the rooms are not particularly spacious, both the facilities and service are perfectly acceptable. A minor inconvenience was the check-in time, which is only after 3 PM, coupled with an 11 AM check-out. Also, the breakfast was quite average, and I didn't see any fruit options.

GGuest UserA great place to relax and a stop to travel for Mount Fuji Five Lakes. As we travel by rent vehicle, it is another isolating place from urban to feel the beauty of nature. The outdoor hot spring is the best corner of the hotel. Meanwhile, the Japanese breakfast is definitely one of the best in our 6 days trip.
GGuest UserWe decided to stay in this hotel, because it located nearby Haneda Airport. It was very good decision. Beautiful view from windows, store nearby, clean room and very polite personal. And they have transfer to airport.

GGuest UserGood location easily accessible by bus. The river view not much value add. Amenities are adequate would be better to provide the yutata for loan for full onsen experience. The bath in the room isn't onsen water which is a pity. Restaurant is a little over priced for the quality of food. Overall service and experience are above average.
