We had a wonderful four-day stay at Cilbrwyn. It was a real retreat, quiet and peaceful with a lovely, well-established garden to relax in. Hosts Bob and Orla were extremely friendly and did everything to make us welcome; they adore dogs and treated our cockerpoo Bruno like a prince. A generous cooked breakfast (overlooking the garden) was a lovely way to start each day, and the room was comfortable and spotless. We'd happily return! Cilbrwyn is midway between the the Gower peninsula and the summits of the Brecon Beacons/ waterfall country, so we were within easy reach of several of our favourite hiking opportunities in south Wales!

This B & B is a total gem and a real find. Excellent accommodation with superking beds and settees dotted around. The breakfast may say 'continental' but it is full of variety and, for us, included freshly baked croissants, good coffee, numerous cereals, breads and spreads plus extras such as pancakes, maple syrup, cold meats and cheese. The breakfast room is also a comfortable sitting room with plenty of space. The hosts are not intrusive but very helpful and the locality offers lots to see and do including beautiful Margam Park (on the doorstep), Porthcawl with all its great seaside facilities and sea views, and quick access to the M4 allowing one to reach most of South Wales with great ease.

Hotel location, although next to the M4 road, but very quiet, the hotel can help to get to the Swansea and Neath service is very good, if you do the train, it is very convenient to live here, go to the Neath station 10 minutes drive, 8 to 9 pounds

My son had his wedding here and i have to say it couldn't have gone any better. The staff were amazing and turned the room around from the ceremony to dinner and evening quickly and efficiently. Food was served quickly and good quality considering the numbers. All the planning was looked after with their wedding planner and took a lot of the work off my son and his wife. I would highly recommend this hotel for your wedding venue, the rooms were clean, good size and air conditioned which was really good given it was August. I'd like to thank all the staff and management for their great work and attention to detail.

Thank you Aberavon Beach Hotel Team! From the warm welcome at reception upon arrival, to the comfortable room with bottled water and juice we were off to a great start. The Bar staff are excellent, we held our meeting in the 'Quarter deck, with open buffet, all staff did their very best to ensure that we were well catered for and looked after during our visit. Special thanks to Claire who helped with our booking and for sorting our meeting arrangement's and room bookings. A great nights sleep and hearty Welsh breakfast, great work!
