First of all, this place look MUCH better than the pictures. The whole building is new and well furnished instead of the rundown look on the booking website. And the bed is comfy and new. You just have to make your own bed: mattress, pillow and quilt. Locker is spacious too, with partition and hanger. I love how espresso/cappucino is free flow in the breakfast. And the breakfast has a good variety tho basic: different cheeses/ham, breads, jams etc, enough to keep me not bored for two nights. The staffs at reception were mostly helpful and vibrant in personality as well. There are fridge in the dining room too, which is a very important feature for guests staying in youth hostel. Because saving on food is one of the major reasons guests stay in youth hostel. Another good thing is free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. That said, there are two huge problem with the hostel: one, the charger in the room. Because the socket is facing down, if one’s using heavy adapter and, even worse, along with a big charger, it’s almost certain to fall. And there’s only one socket on the wall. I was lucky for the 2nd night to switch to that bed, else I had to spend a good 1-2 hours in common area to have my phone/laptop etc charged. To me it’s a design that serves almost no purpose and even arguably insensitive to international traveler. Not sure how they’re gonna fix it for other travelers, but charging is almost #1 travelling need for travelers. The 2nd issue was with the bathroom on the top floor. The automatic light went off way too quickly, and it’s barely sensitive to motion when you’re in the shower cubicle. You have to open the door, and reach your hands out to have it turned back on, when everything is pitch dark. Many including me had talked about it, but no effective action was taken. P/S: From this place to Gornergrat, you have two stations to choose from: Zermatt or Findelbach, the latter is closer and 3.5CHF cheaper, but at the cost of more demanding uphill climbing.

Excellent location, 5-10min walk from the train station. Near to both Coop and Migros. Room was cosy and clean but mattress/bed will need upgrading. It's too soft and will sink in when sleep on. Check in counter is in another hotel a few steps away. Will be great if guests can be informed prior. There's a small lift in the hotel, good for those with heavy luggages!

Chalet style hotel, near the train station, triple room with mountain view, 34 square meters, three beds, clean and comfortable, delicious breakfast, inexpensive room, near the supermarket, near the restaurant, recommended.

My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel was priced at 500 euros per night for my room... Personally, I thought it was well worth it! This is because (1) A light course dinner is included (2) Breakfast buffet is included (3) It costs 60 euros round trip & takes about 1.5 hours to climb up here, so you can't get up and down so much and you don't know the weather on the mountain. The mountain railroad ends at 20:00 at night, so from then until morning, the top of the mountain will be monopolized by hotel guests. So, considering all these factors, I thought it was rather a good deal. In fact, I was able to capture the cloudless Matterhorn on my way home after checking out at the very end! So I recommend this hotel

Very convenient to train station; Fruitful breakfast with special tea time for holiday; But it is disappointed that we can’t see Matterhorn directly as sunrise. Have self laundry service

Location: Really good location just opposite the Zermatt station and next to the door from Gornergrat bahn station. Not far from COOP. Room: It's good for sleep. Bunk bed is strength not make sound when the upper bed moving and the blanket is warm. The kitchen: Convenience Service: Nice lady and good to support for staying Price: Not expensive to stay and sleep

The location is close to Zermatt Station, and there is no problem dragging two suitcases. The Matterhorn peak is slightly visible, hidden by trees, so it seems good for checking if it is the Golden Horn.

Considering the location in Zermatt, I think this hotel is very good value for money. If I come to Zermatt again, I will consider this hotel. The information at the reception is also in Japanese. Although it was a mountain view room, you cannot see the Matterhorn. There is a spa (sauna), but I did not use it.

It was a pleasant stay overall with a nice view, quiet room, and clean facility, except for the broken shower head. We informed them immediately, but the hotel told us that it would be fixed on the next day.

This hotel is amazing, especially the location which is only 3 min walk from the Zermatt Station. It’s also very closed to the main street, supermarket amd restaurants. The room is spacious and we were so lucky to see the sunrise view of Matterhorn due to the good weather. Highly recommended to friends and families who would like to visit Zermatt.

This hotel offers a decent location, although it requires a bit of a walk from Zermatt train station. However, the reward is a beautiful Matterhorn view from the hotel room, which is a delightful feature. The breakfast was typical of Swiss hotels, but the real highlight was the impressive range of facilities, including an open-air jacuzzi, gym, sauna room, and indoor swimming pool, providing guests with various options for relaxation and recreation. As for the room itself, it met our expectations. Overall, a pleasant stay with some great amenities.

Excellent stay at this cute little place. Loved everything about this hotel including the breakfast, location, and scenic views. You can't beat this place for the price. It's also so close (within walking distance) to the Tasch railway station and parking is free. They even let me park for 3-4 hours for free after checking out while I visited Zermatt. The front desk girl (I forgot her name) was so nice and helpful giving me some great tips while I visited Zermatt. Wonderful experience overall.

The hotel is on the edge of the train station. There are three rooms, which are reasonably priced. There is a coop supermarket next to it. There is also a fast food restaurant opposite the hotel. It is open late, has many types, tastes good, and has a large amount. Our mother and daughter order one. Very full. To the town of Zermatt, you need to take a shuttle train, you can use the Swiss Pass, the train is a few minutes away, the running time is very short, and there are cars late at night, with beautiful scenery along the way. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast, which is very tasty and can be eaten more satisfactorily.

About 8 minutes walk from Brigg station. I used it the night before to Zermatt. There are many restaurants around, so you don't have to worry about rice. The rooms are simple but clean. Amenities include towels, hand soap, body soap? (unknown without specification), shampoo? (bottles are out of order and do not come out). I thought it would be nice to have a name on the amenities in the bath, but it's clean and I think it's enough to sleep.

There is a team that goes directly to Venice at 7 o'clock, so I chose to transition here for one night. The location is excellent. It's right in front of Brig Station and there are restaurants nearby, so it's very convenient. I will use it again.

Breakfast eggs are delicious. I helped my family to book a triple room for four people. There were three adults and a five-year-old child at the time of check-in. So I charged an extra 35 Swiss francs for the child’s breakfast (two nights) without an extra bed. The beds are not big. It is necessary to see the latest check-in time of the hotel, because we did not notice that we checked in after ten o'clock in the evening and was educated by the front desk. And said ”This is not in China.” This kind of language makes us feel very uncomfortable. Even if we express our apologies for being late many times.

The small hotel room is small but very warm. The old lady boss is very enthusiastic. Arrived very early in the morning, I thought there might be no empty room to check in, the old lady said that you should have a cup of coffee in the restaurant first, I will see if there is a ready room, so let the waiter bring us two cups of coffee. She came back before the coffee was finished and said the room was ready, and you could go to the room after you had finished your coffee.
