Boutique Hotel Dubná Skala Reviews

The whole day was great, especially the location, which was much better than the holiday inn opposite!

My room at this “ Boutique” hotel was a HUGE disappointment. More Motel 8 than boutique with no extras you would expect. So dirty and worn with an overpowering floral chemical smell that burned my eyes. I ended up sleeping with the window cracked in 19* temperatures. Desk staff was nice and offered to switch to the room next door however, it had the same issues. I would never recommend this tired worn out hotel to anyone. It is also in a sketchy area that time has not been kind to!

We had a very large and comfortable room for three people on the top floor of the hotel. Unfortunately our air conditioning wasn’t working in the room. We called reception but the service man had gone home for the night and the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms. The lovely receptionist Maria did her best to make us comfortable by bringing two fans to our room and the next day gave us a generous discount off our bill. Whilst we had a hot night Maria was amazing and did her best to look after us !!!

The hotel is actually not that bad - great location, good parking underneath the building, friendly staff, large rooms and a pretty good breakfast. Unfortunately, we had a room on the street side and a broken air conditioning system that heated to 28.5°C instead of cooling. We were therefore forced to leave the windows open at night to at least get some cooling. Our sleep was disturbed by the loud traffic.

We chose the hotel as a stopover for a transit trip. The room and the furnishings corresponded to a 3* standard and unfortunately the room smelled a bit. The lobby staff was very friendly. The hotel is located on a noisy thoroughfare through the town.

Unfortunately not worth 5 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, in room 208 the furniture is bumped everywhere and is therefore unsightly. The level of maintenance in the sanitary area is poor, to say the least. Tiles are missing, it is filled with water and limestone, the shower faucet cannot be adjusted, the lighting is broken, there is no soap to wash your hands in the toilet. The room is really worn out with lots of dirt on the walls and damaged bed covers with holes in them. And a small TV without reception channels actually made my impression.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the old town and the central square. It is nicely decorated and has a good parking space behind the hotel. The breakfast was OK, although not outstanding. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated.
