Zhuhai Dong'ao Island Marriott Resort Hotel Reviews

Traveled to Dong Ao island and stayed for two nights. The island is rather small and its natural beauty still remains very original. It has not yet been exploited by lots of tourism so it feels very authentic. Had a wonderful stay at this resort hotel. The hotel electric shuttle buses wait by the port for the guests when arriving so that’s very convenient. Once we got in the hotel lobby we were welcomed by Sue, the front office assistant manager. She explained about the hotel to us and upgraded our room. She also sent me all the timetables for the shuttle busses and opening time of the different restaurants of the hotel. She escorted us to the room and wished us a pleasant stay. She also told us about the special promotion for the buffet restaurant and helped us to book a table. The manager of the restaurant, Haron, welcomed us when we arrived to the restaurant for dinner and assisted us with our dietary needs. He was very professional and friendly. He remembered our preferences throughout our stay. He went out of his way to make us feel happy and enjoy dining in the restaurant. During our second evening, we we by the port area and wanted to go go back. One of the shuttle bus drivers, named Jack, drove us back although it wasn’t time yet according to the schedule. He was very nice and I enjoyed chatting with him through the way to the hotel. I recommend this destination for those who prefer a calm and beautiful scenery and Marriott would off course be the best choice. I hope I can get the chance to go there soon again.

Had a really great chill stay here at this hotel. The balcony dinner was scrumptious and the service was great. The balcony was definitely the star of the stay and would recommend this. Thank you Deven for your kindness and service.

Its a new hotel and the room is great! Comfy bed and a lovely shower with a great view over the beach. Unfortunately the beach is full of trash and you are technically not allowed to swim on any beach around the island. Swimming pool area is not up to 5 star and neither was the breakfast. Overall its fine but wouldn’t go back until those things were rectified.

Nice trip with my wife. The hotel's view and facilities are very good. There are many sightseeing places around the hotel.

Hotel itself and services were very good. However, still stinking paintings after opening. Water in pool dirty, beach dirty incl. rests of construction garbage ( concrete pieces with armoring wire ). There is not so much to do on the island. Lot of constructions there. Trip around island was … simply not that good as expected. Everywhere on the natural beaches and around constructions unbelievable mess of garbage. Next to the hotel is a construction of another hotel.

It was the best stay in this year

The room is spacious and the sea view is beautiful. The hotel manager Mr. Wang Yang is very good at service and takes good care of the guests. The shuttle bus to the beach is also very timely. The food in the Chinese restaurant is fresh and delicious. The children's play area is very clean.

It is really hard to imagine that there is such a beautiful, comfortable and cost-effective brand hotel on Dong'ao Island! As soon as we got off the boat, there was already a hotel pick-up at the pier, and the driver also introduced the scenery of the island to us along the way. After arriving at the hotel, the driver also helped us get our luggage when we got off the car. The hotel has done a great job in these details. The hotel room is very large, and they thoughtfully arranged a sea-facing room for us. As for the restaurant, there are also many dishes. If you want to dine elsewhere on the island, the hotel also provides car pick-up throughout the day. Finally, the hotel also allowed us to check out late (as it was not peak season, which is hard to say). If I really have to find fault, it is that there are fewer attractions on the island, but it does not affect the enjoyment of the hotel. Highly recommended for family trips and couples trips!

I rarely write reviews, but today I must express my feelings. Staying at the Dong'ao Island Marriott Hotel is the wisest choice. There are staff to pick you up when you get off the boat. Miss Sue, who checked in, is warm and enthusiastic. Because we are traveling with the elderly, she specially upgraded the sea view room in the middle facing the sea, and also sent fruits attentively. The room is quiet and tidy, and the overall decoration of the hotel is very distinctive. We wanted to go back to the hotel after playing at the beach, so we called Miss Sue and she immediately arranged a special car to pick us up. There was also a light show at night, which was a great experience. All the hotel staff are very enthusiastic, highly professional, and the check-in experience is particularly good. I hope I will have the opportunity to come to this quiet island again next time, and I will choose Marriott Hotel again😊

The hotel is located on the west side of Dong'ao Island. It has a very good location. There is a bay below, and the water is crystal clear. The rhythmic caressing of the beach is fascinating. In addition, Nancy's customer service and Xiao Cao at the front desk provide warm and thoughtful services. I would feel sorry for myself if I don't come again...

Dong'ao Island is an island in the Wanshan Islands that is a high-end resort, so the hotels on the island are all extremely luxurious. Marriott is a new hotel that just opened in 24 years. The environment and hygiene are absolutely excellent. The rooms are basically sea view rooms with a wide view and excellent scenery! The hotel shape is also unique! No matter which angle you take a photo, it is beautiful!

At the end of February, I took my children to Dong'ao Island. I chose the Marriott Hotel. I was very satisfied with the room arrangement. You can enjoy the sea view from the small balcony. We were in a very good mood with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and we had a seafood hot pot for two for dinner. There is a children's club in the hotel, and the children especially like to play with their brothers and sisters in the park. We came to play in the off-season and had a very good experience. Thanks to Cherry, Helen, Sue Su Xiaoyu of the Marriott Hotel, Icyle Lin (the little brother's name is unknown) of the children's club and the concierge team for their thoughtful service.

A very satisfying stay. It was off-season, so there were few people and it was quiet. The front desk warmly received us and arranged a room with a good floor and location. Facing the sea, listening to the sound of waves, it felt like taking a cruise. Marriott Hotel's brand is indeed strong. Although there are not many people staying, the service quality and efficiency are guaranteed. Whether it is the front desk, the restaurant, the room cleaning waiter, or even the electric car driver, they are all very warm and polite, and they respond to every request. The environment and breakfast products of the buffet restaurant are good, especially the porridge is very good. Thumbs up.
