"This hotel was really amazing. It was easy to get to using didi from the airport (around 15rmb) and to get from there all around town. But most importantly it's a short walking distance from the cable car up Tianmenshan, which allowed us to get there super early and still sleep well on the comfortable beds.
The view was really nice, the internet quick and everything was clean and well organized. Even though we got a smoking room (we don't smoke) nothing smelled like cigarettes so they even managed to keep that clean.
Would really recommend and come back to."

"The owners are really friendly and welcoming. When we arrived at noon with our suitcases, the owner immediately helped us with our luggage, and his wife was also very kind. The inn is about a fifteen-minute walk from the Tianmen Mountain cable car. However, the double room on the second floor doesn't get any sunlight, so it can be a bit dark. The twin room gets sunlight and would be a better option, so I'd recommend booking a twin room."

"1. The service is good, the boss is enthusiastic, and the room was upgraded. The facilities are very new, and there is a swimming pool in the backyard. The only problem is that the mosquitoes are too strong. The air conditioning is very powerful, the bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and a smart toilet, but the space is too small.
2. The scenery is superb, and Tianmen Cave is opposite. It is a real pleasure to sit in front of the small table for making tea and look at the Tianmen Cave
3. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Tianmen Cave Cableway, which is more suitable for self-driving tourists. Parking is available at the door.
4. The beef factory restaurant nearby is delicious.
5. The breakfast is very exquisite and tastes good. I didn't try their home-cooked dishes, but I can tell from the breakfast that they must taste good.
Mind the point
It's too close to the airport, with a flight every 15 minutes on average. The noise is very loud, but I don't mind it, but if you have trouble sleeping, I don't recommend it.
The passage upstairs is narrow, which makes it difficult to carry large luggage"

"The Mansion Inn Dream Mansion is located on a certain floor of the building, so you’ll need to wait for the lift, but it’s worth it once you arrive. The ambiance is beautiful — very zen and Japanese-inspired, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and kind; although there’s a bit of a language barrier, using a translator app made communication easy. They even helped us order food and milk tea! The complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the train station was a great bonus. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant stay. The location is superb when you intend to go to the 72 towers and tianmen mountain. It is literally just behibd the cable car station. The only downside of the room is there is not enough privacy for the toilet if you are travelling with friends."

"By far the best hotel we have stayed at in China and mostly due to the host. She was incredible. She drove us to restaurants and the national park. She was really welcoming. Helped us find a swimming pool. She couldn’t have done more for us and we are very grateful.
The rooms are BIG and spacious. We had the skylight room. It was great. I couldn’t fault this hotel at all.

"This hotel is exceptionally comfortable — the rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials. The double room features a spacious and very comfortable bed.
The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. They didn’t just offer a warm welcome — they also helped me book discounted tickets to Zhangjiajie Park and even put together a personalized tour plan based on how much time I wanted to spend there.
The location is super convenient too — it’s only about one kilometer from the East Gate of the park, making it easy to reach on foot or by taxi. There’s also a vibrant street nearby filled with cafés and shops.

"The house is located on Xibu Street and is clean and hygienic. Outside is a food court that's bustling at night. It's just over a kilometer from the east gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The owner can help with itinerary planning and ticket booking, which is cheaper than online."

"Excellent! The owner was incredibly accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we didn't land until 11 PM, so we arrived at the hotel well past midnight, but the owner patiently waited for us. Even better, right after I made the reservation, the owner contacted me, added me on WeChat, and shared some really helpful local tips. As a lovely farewell gesture, they even gifted us two boxes of Maylandia tea, a specialty from Zhangjiajie. The food at their restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. Our room was also spotless and came with an instant hot water dispenser. We'll definitely be returning!"

"Overall, I would say my stay at the inn was very good. When I checked in there were a couple of temporary staff that were fluent in English which made the process very smooth. They also were super knowledgeable about the Zhangjiajie area and made planning my day trips in Wulingyuan's national park entrance and even in Tianmenshan very easy with them booking all my tickets and giving suggestions for routes to take. It seems like the English fluent workers aren't always working so your mileage may vary. Regardless all the staff were super welcoming and kind to any questions or requests. The building does seem like its on the older side but it seems pretty well maintained and the pictures of the room do match. The only small issue I had was with the outlets. I had Type A ports and even though they were there, they didnt really go into the socket and I didnt want to risk breaking anything (my stuff or the outlet), but there were Type I outlets that worked fine and because I had a travel adapter there weren't any real issues for me."

3300955****Facilities: This place offers amenities you'd usually find in a thousand-dollar hotel, like a '闺蜜机' (a device often used by female friends for entertainment/mirror selfies), Dyson hairdryer, mini-fridge, laundry service, and an elevator – they've got it all.
Cleanliness: From the moment you step inside, you can feel how spotless it is.
Environment: Right outside is a river with various birds. If you step out the front door and look right along the river, you'll see locals doing their laundry in the most authentic way. Just a couple of steps to the right is the excellent photo spot shown in the second picture.
Service: The owner's service is absolutely top-notch. I spent 4 days in Zhangjiajie, and for the first two nights, I wasn't staying here, but the owner already started helping me plan my itinerary. On the second day, when the Tianmen Mountain cableway was undergoing maintenance, the owner informed me immediately, whereas the other guesthouse I was staying at had no reaction at all. The contrast in service quality is clear. The service is so meticulous and excellent that you constantly want to chat with the owner, but at the same time, you feel like you might be bothering them – truly a ceiling-level experience.

My recent stay at XiFuWan Resort Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm greeting from the owner made us feel right at home. The owners, a genuinely kind husband and wife duo, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable and comfortable.
Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely basket of fresh fruits—a thoughtful touch that truly reflected their generosity. They even went the extra mile by creating a WeChat group labeled ”VIP” to keep us updated on local attractions and assist us during our stay, which added a personalized touch to the experience.
The owners were particularly helpful in arranging tickets for the mountains and the famed Bailong Elevator, making our adventures seamless. They provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the east gate of the mountain, which was incredibly convenient.
During our stay, my mother experienced some abdominal pain, and the compassion demonstrated by the owners was heartwarming. The husband personally took us to the hospital and assisted us through every step of the process, ensuring my mother was taken care of from A to Z. There, we experience what visiting a hospital in China is like. Its very fast and convenient.
Location-wise, XiFuWan Resort Hotel is perfectly situated in the bustling city center, surrounded by an array of conveniences including HeyTea, cyber cafés, supermarkets, and even a hospital nearby. It’s the ideal spot for anyone looking to explore the area without sacrificing comfort or service. Not to mention, there is also a halal restaurant nearby, ideal for muslim guests.

GGuest UserIf I could give 100/10 for the service I would. I can understand why this is named ”happy stay”. Honestly I didn't even know it was possible to have such consideration and personal assistance.
Without the help of Happy Stay we would have been lost. They helped me plan a trip with my mum, ans even before I reached China, months before, they helped me book tickets in Zhangjiajie and plan my trip. It's the only way we survived without a tour guide.
They spend time to sit with you patiently with maps of the parks, and draw the route and plan on there. I'm surprised they were not fed up of me messaging so much on wechat with questions about everything from opening hours to cuisines to every detail. To be honest I asked more than the scope of a hotel but I was always helped thoughtfully.
Even the night we reached there, it was late with not many food places open and Happy Stay came outside with me to help me find food and translate for a fussy eater.
Rooms are beautiful, vanity kit even had a hair tie! Location is perfect, 2 minute Didi from the park gate and when you leave the park your in the middle of the main area with food and shops. Also on a pretty river that has fairy lights at night.

GGuest UserThis hotel was absolutely gorgeous, it was such a beautiful place to stay when visiting Zhangjiajie. We wish we were there more than a night as the staff and service was the most hospitable we had the whole trip. The care they took with everything from check in through to check out was a 10 out of 10. The place was clean and modern with a really relaxed zen vibe.
We were fortunate enough to have dinner there in the restaurant and it was the best meal we had our entire time in China, the food was fresh and flavourful and it felt like a home cooked meal cooked with care and so much love. The breakfast was also so fresh and delicious and set us up for a day in the national park.
I would highly recommend staying here and it’s the only place I’d stay if I came back to Zhangjiajie!

GGuest UserThe location is very close to the North Gate, just a few hundred meters on foot. The boss has his own van and can deliver directly to the door. The room style is mostly wooden. The key is that it also has a small balcony. The balcony has a small table and a hanging basket. If the weather is warm, it is also nice to relax on the balcony. The room has a large cabinet air conditioner. The heating is very powerful. The hot water response is fast and the water volume is also large.
The door lock of the room is a traditional old iron lock. The door is a wooden latch, which still has a sense of the past.
Next door is the breakfast place. It's 15 yuan per person and you can eat as much as you want.

XXYHJNThe room was spotless. The location is excellent, just a short taxi ride from the scenic area entrance, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. A charming little stream runs right by the entrance, offering beautiful scenery, and you can even go down for a paddle. The owner was incredibly kind and went out of their way to thoroughly explain tips for exploring the scenic area. There's also a third-floor terrace, perfect for drying clothes, which offers fantastic views. This is a truly honest review – we had an absolutely wonderful time!

Service: The staff were attentive, offering detailed explanations of Forest Park routes and recommending suitable itineraries based on our preferences. We could also buy park tickets directly at the guesthouse. Freshly brewed berry tea was available in the lobby, and any issues we had were promptly addressed.
Cleanliness: The rooms feature wooden floors. We stayed for two nights, and on our second day, we saw the cleaning staff mopping the floors, highlighting the guesthouse's commitment to cleanliness. Even the tissues provided were thick and of good quality.
Location: The guesthouse is conveniently located less than a ten-minute walk from the Forest Park. On the way, you'll find numerous breakfast stalls. Right outside the guesthouse, there's a bustling night market with food stalls that comes alive in the evenings, and the food there is quite delicious.

Hygiene: We stayed for three days, and they cleaned our room thoroughly every day. The newly renovated hotel had no strange smells and no overlooked corners.
Environment: It's located near a residential area, quiet yet close to everything. Dining and transportation nearby were very convenient.
Service: The service was definitely the biggest plus. We had a personalized itinerary, with details marked on a map. They booked all our tickets, elevators, and cable cars in one go, so we barely had to queue for anything extra when going up the mountain. The itinerary was well-paced and executed flawlessly – just look at the pictures! We managed to visit all the major sights with my parents in a single day.
I also have to mention that the breakfast was abundant, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. It felt like five-star service, but at an incredibly high-value price. Many foreign guests also stayed at the hotel. Very satisfied.
Welcome fruit: The fruit was very fresh and personally delivered with care.
Concierge itinerary planning service: This service is absolutely essential for first-time visitors to Zhangjiajie. We later found that other hotels didn't offer this service; many tourists we met were wandering around or hiring guides, whereas our itinerary was already customized and free. Doesn't that feel incredibly VIP?

We originally wanted a family room but it was fully booked, so we took the owner's recommendation for a river-view king room, which turned out to be excellent. The room was very spacious, and the owner provided an extra 1.4-meter bed, making our stay extremely comfortable; the kids especially loved it. It featured a bathtub, a projector, and even a tea room. We stayed for four nights, and each evening the owner helped us plan the next day's itinerary, even suggesting evening activities tailored to our needs. This personalized service was truly a huge plus! Overall, the room facilities were great, the views stunning, and the owner's service outstanding. We will definitely recommend this place to many more friends!
