I had an excellent stay at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and speak English. I arrived late and they directly helped me book a ticket for the park the next day and explained how to get there. The breakfast included is very good + you take it on the roof with a magnificent view. The hotel is close to the east entrance of the park (about 15-20 minutes walk).

I had an amazing stay at a hotel in Zhangjiajie. The location was perfect—just 200 meters from Cable Car Station A to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. It made getting to the scenic area incredibly convenient. My room was so big, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tianmen Mountain!

Trying to find the hotel was the slightly difficult part unless you know what to look for, but they do have a big poster on the entrance at street level. The apartment was lovely and light. The reception staff were very helpful and also helped us buy tickets for Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Very good location close to local shops. Do bring ear plugs though as during morning you can hear the traffic below. Would still recommend them. Good view from the room. Catch a didi to the intersection of the Jiefang Road and Yingbin Road. About 2-3 mins walk from there to building entrance. Floor 17A.

Location: although not super close to cable car station, its a nice quartier to walk around (restaurants, little stores, fruit stalls), theres a big stone in front of it.
Room: spacious, low light, big window, no smell, good bed, clean. Ask for high floor or front building room to avoid restaurant smell from the street.
They can gently help you to purchase tickets for attractions at good price. Use phone translator.

Room is spacious and clean, comes with breakfast buffet which is great for early travellers, location is near to bus station for attractions bus accessibility, convenient store is nearby so no worry on groceries, tianmenshan ropeways cable car is within 10mins walking distance.
The only downside and improvement needed is:
1. guest laundry dryer is not working perfectly and maintenance is require.
2. Only one elevator to support hotel guests thus needs to allocate more waiting time during outing.
Overall, it is still nice place to stay and I definitely will stay here again on my next visits 😊

Firstly, the girl at reception insisted on carrying my heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs - how did she know I'd done over 35,000 steps that day? This is a quaint, traditional Chinese inn with some stunning decor. It is right near the mountain cable car entrance and there are lots of food options around (try the large family restaurant just down on the right). My only disappointment was that I'd read that the owners are very friendly but I didn't get to meet them! Lovely stay for my birthday, anyway - thanks.

The hotel location is excellent if you are visiting Tianmen mountain. It is only a few minutes walking distance away. Lots of restaurants and a Macdonald nearby. There is free pickup and send service. The staff is very patient in explaining the scenic spot at trekking route at Tianmen mountain. The room is not full sound proof. We can also smell cigarette from guests smoking nearby.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very nice and spacious and the staff were so lovely. We even had delicious afternoon tea there, got a late check out and spent time in the beautifully decorated seating area. The staff ordered us a taxi for free to the airport too!
Unfortunately, our room had a terrible smoke smell when turning on the A/C even though we booked a non smoking room. We told the staff about this but the rooms were fully booked so we could not move. They did help a bit by providing room spray but we had to leave the A/C off and keep the windows open the entire time and it was uncomfortably hot. Wish I could write a more positive review because the staff were so kind but the smell of smoke is unacceptable to me when booking a non smoking room.

My recent stay at XiFuWan Resort Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm greeting from the owner made us feel right at home. The owners, a genuinely kind husband and wife duo, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable and comfortable.
Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely basket of fresh fruits—a thoughtful touch that truly reflected their generosity. They even went the extra mile by creating a WeChat group labeled ”VIP” to keep us updated on local attractions and assist us during our stay, which added a personalized touch to the experience.
The owners were particularly helpful in arranging tickets for the mountains and the famed Bailong Elevator, making our adventures seamless. They provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the east gate of the mountain, which was incredibly convenient.
During our stay, my mother experienced some abdominal pain, and the compassion demonstrated by the owners was heartwarming. The husband personally took us to the hospital and assisted us through every step of the process, ensuring my mother was taken care of from A to Z. There, we experience what visiting a hospital in China is like. Its very fast and convenient.
Location-wise, XiFuWan Resort Hotel is perfectly situated in the bustling city center, surrounded by an array of conveniences including HeyTea, cyber cafés, supermarkets, and even a hospital nearby. It’s the ideal spot for anyone looking to explore the area without sacrificing comfort or service. Not to mention, there is also a halal restaurant nearby, ideal for muslim guests.
The service we received at XiFuWan Resort Hotel exceeded our expectations, giving us an experience worthy of more than just five stars. EExitGatesWe enjoyed our 5-night stay at this well-located hotel in Wulingyuan. It served as an ideal base for exploring both Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to the park entrance and surrounded by plenty of great local dining options. Being right on the scenic footpath along the stream added to the charm.
The hotel manager was exceptionally helpful, offering valuable tips for our visit—and to our delight, spoke flawless English, which made everything even easier. We also appreciated the convenient self-service laundry area, which was well set up and very useful during our extended stay.
We stayed in the top-floor room, which came with a large patio and a nice view. While it was enjoyable, if we return, we’d probably opt for a standard room with a balcony. The so-called “pool” isn’t really a pool, so paying extra for that amenity isn’t worth it.
A few areas for improvement: the top-floor room would really benefit from a fridge and some comfortable seating—after a long day of hiking, a sofa would’ve been much appreciated. The extra space in the room felt a bit underutilized, just an empty area with a hard floor. That said, the bathroom was excellent—the shower had great pressure, generous space, and multiple spray settings. The bed and linens were comfortable, though we did find the pillows too large for our taste.
Overall, a great stay and a hotel we’d recommend—especially for its unbeatable location and helpful staff.

HHENRYFriendly staff at the hotel, no problems if you don't speak chinese. The rooms are immaculatly clean and hi-tech, robo-room service. You won't find a better hotel at this price.
Only issue is the breakfast wasn't great but i generally ate out, in China you don't want to eat in a hotel, there are food options just downstairs.

The location of the hotel is great, and the hosts will drive you to the South Gate of the forest park whenever you need it. After touring the Wulingyuan area, we were so glad we stayed here because this place is so scenic and tranquil. The room and the property was always kept clean and orderly and the amenities are top tier. You can feel that the hosts put much efforts and thoughts into making the place classy and comfortable at the same time. And props to the chefs, who make such tasty food throughout our stay. TTracy JinI have read about the host before booking this inn. Still, I wasn't expected them to be this good. The host was trying everything he can to help us with our constantly changing plan due to the weather. It wasn't a straightforward plan, as we always stayed one day/night in a different part of the park hence already did some sightseeing. During our stay here at the inn, it rained a lot so we needed to make a last minute plan change to avoid the mountain top (there's nothing to see due to the fog). My partner doesn't eat the local breakfast which is offered at the inn so the host drove us to a nearby breakfast restaurant. He also arranged drivers for us with better price than if booked ourselves. The host's son was very helpful too: He was keen for us to go to a particular spot for sunset view on our arrival day as he knew there'd be cloud sea at the time and it's not a regular event. Too bad we didn't listen to him :-)

SShucheng HuPerfect location within Wulingyuan surrounded by plenty of local, affordable places to eat. Only a 20 minute walk from the main entrance of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The staff were very friendly, helping us to buy discounted tickets and planning four days of activities. They guided us on how best to navigate all the attractions. The hotel also offers free washing and drying facilities. The rooms themselves are very clean and spacious.
Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Zhangjiajie!

TthesiblingFirst of all, this is my second time in zhangjiajie, and this service was the best. The lady from the reception helped us book all tickets to the national park and the tianmen mountain and even took the time to plan a custom itinerary with us. This was the best service I've seen so far. She is also always available on WeChat if questions during our stay arose.
The room was really spacious and clean. Unfortunately the door lock didn't work, but you can open it only with the room card anyway. The room was cleaned everyday and bed sheets were made too. We also got fresh water bottles daily (high quality ones). The room features a tea set including dried tee to make traditional gongfu tea, which was awesome.
During the night, if you are a light sleeper, better get some ear protection since the street in front of the hotel can be loud at times. But the bed was really comfortable.
The bathroom was really big. I loved the rain shower and the big bathtub. The tap of the tub was damaged which was a little inconvenient. The room also features coat hangers to dry clothes, since the hotel also provides a laundry room with clean and powerful washing machines (which saved us honestly haha). The rain shower is amazing, the temperature was also great. A little downside was that the shower gel was empty, which can easily be requested for refills (we used our own). Apart from that we got vanity kits, tooth brush kits and so on.
The hotel's location is amazing. To the tianmen cable car it's a 5 min Didi ride (2 km). To the national park it's 30 min by Didi. There are many restaurants and shops, a pharmacy and supermarket in the vicinity (5 min by foot). And each time we returned, they treated us to tea!
I can really recommend this stay and will definitely book it again when I come to zhangjiajie again.
