Hotels in Xining Railway Station, Xining

After our trip to Qinghai, we returned to the Holiday Inn Express, and it felt like coming back to civilization. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. There's underground parking, and the room was clean and spacious. For dinner, we had 'Kaiguo Lamb' at the hotel restaurant – selected short ribs simmered in broth for 15 minutes, then dipped in sauce, which was absolutely delicious! We finished with some vegetables cooked in the same pot. The breakfast spread, a mix of Western and Chinese, was also very rich. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in mainland China, this one offered local specialties like yogurt and noodles. If I ever come back to Xining, I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

We stayed another 2 nights during the May holidays. Surprisingly, Xining wasn't crowded except for the People's Park where plenty of tulips were in bloom. It was raining on 1 May, so we stayed in hotel. Hotel though old, was clean with standard amenities. Bathroom has a bath with shower curtains. No hooks for clothes in toilet/bathroom. Laundry room only has 1 washer, no dryer. We didn't use. Price was cheap. Breakfast was a bowl of mee, some veg and an egg at restaurant next door. We were given breakfast vouchers.

I had a truly great stay here, largely thanks to the incredible staff. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot - very close to the Dongguan Grand Mosque and Xia Nanguan Street, which is perfect for food shopping and enjoying nighttime street food. The design of the hotel has a nice vintage charm to it—nothing overly flashy, but it's very clean and comfortable, and I had no complaints at all. They also offer private parking, which is really convenient if you're renting a car. What really made my stay special was the service. The staff went above and beyond for me. I was struggling with bad altitude sickness, and without me even saying a word, the front desk team noticed how I was feeling and kindly sent medicine, yogurt, and an oxygen canister to my room. That kind of care means so much. Later that night, my room was a bit too warm, and even though it was late, the night staff happily helped me switch rooms. I’m so grateful. A special thank you to Ms. Ma Ping for all her help and kindness. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xining—you'll be in good hands here. 我在这家酒店住得非常愉快，最主要的原因是这里的服务人员实在太棒了。酒店的位置很好，离东关大清真寺和下南关街都很近，那边非常适合买吃的，晚上也有热闹的街头小吃。酒店的设计带点复古的怀旧风格，不是那种很浮夸的类型，但非常干净舒适，我完全没有任何不满意的地方。酒店还有自己的私人停车场，对于自驾的客人来说非常方便。真正让这次住宿变得特别的是他们的服务。我当时高原反应挺严重的，结果完全不用我开口，前台的工作人员看到我的状况后，主动送来了药、酸奶和一瓶氧气到我的房间。这种细心和关怀真的让人很感动。晚上我的房间有点太暖，尽管已经很晚了，夜班的工作人员还是很乐意帮我换了房间，我真的很感激。特别感谢马平女士对我所有的帮助。我一定会把这家酒店推荐给要来西宁的旅客 - 你们在这里一定会被好好照顾的。

This hotel experience was fantastic! The location is great, not far from the train station, and close to attractions and food streets, making getting around super convenient. The room was very clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and odor-free, and the toiletries were of good quality. The front desk staff were very friendly and checked us in quickly. All the hotel staff were warm and attentive, answering all our questions and even proactively helping us plan our itinerary. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

The room was quite spacious, and the service was good. They even provided free breakfast. The two beds were easy to push together, which was convenient. Breakfast was a little lacking, but a highlight was the unlimited yogurt. There's also a game machine and billiards table in the lobby on the first floor, which I unfortunately only noticed when checking out because I didn't expect the lobby to be so large. Overall, it was pretty good.

Facilities: Alright, the automatic toilet wasn't very responsive. Cleanliness: Good, quite clean, just a slight odor in the bathroom. Environment: Very convenient, easy to find, and the lobby is grand. There's also a parking lot. Service: Excellent, they even provided a complimentary fruit platter! No air conditioning though. On my first night, I experienced the local style of no AC, which was a bit stuffy and dry. Luckily, June 30th wasn't a high-temperature day, so I managed to get through it, haha! 😝 Dining: It's passable, but I'd recommend eating out.

My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!

The room was very clean. The staff was very good. They helped us upgrade the room type for free. They also sent a lot of things. It happened to be the last day of the Great Northwest. It was also the best night to sleep.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xining! It's super close to the train station and only 20 minutes from the airport! The most important thing is that the environment is incredibly clean and comfortable – a germaphobe's dream! It even has air conditioning, which is really rare for hotels in Xining. Although I stayed for two days and didn't feel cold at all, so I never even turned it on. (P.S. The cleaning lady is so thoughtful! On my first day, I didn't know how to use the disposable toilet seat cover, so I just left it aside. When I came back the next day, I found that she had set up a new one for me! 🥳)

The hotel's location is great, and they have a free parking lot. The front desk staff, particularly a young lady who went by 'Serta Mattress' (or maybe that was her name, it's a bit unclear!), was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. She showed me the rooms, helped me compare prices, and even upgraded my room type. She also recommended some night markets. The breakfast was very good too, so I decided to extend my stay!
