Hotels in Huoju 8th Street/International Coastal Baths, Weihai

The location is a real winner, directly facing the ocean. It was so relaxing to watch the tides come and go from the window. Downstairs, there's a great variety of restaurants, making it super convenient to find food. The beach is just a short walk away, perfect for a stroll and watching the sunset after dinner. The guesthouse itself is clean and comfortable, and getting around was very easy. Overall, we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. We even extended for another night, and the owner was kind enough to arrange for us to stay in the same room so we didn't have to move.

This is a very old 5-star hotel, and the design feels dated. There was also a noticeable damp and musty smell. When we first checked in, we were given a room on the 5th floor. As soon as we opened the door, there was a strong wet and musty smell, so we requested to change rooms. The hotel moved us to a room just two doors away, which was much better and had less of the smell. However, the windows could not be opened. The location is good, and the hotel is connected to a beautiful bridge where you can enjoy a nice sea view. Overall, the hotel really needs some renovation and updating as it feels quite old. If you decide to stay here, you may want to request a higher-floor room.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during my 3-day trip to Weihai. I initially thought it was a small, boutique guesthouse, but later found out it actually has 48 rooms. It's located in Weihai's Xiaoshidao Scenic Area, right next to Huoju Bajie, with a beach nearby. It's a quiet retreat despite being in a popular area. I usually have high standards for accommodation and rarely stay in guesthouses, but I was generally quite satisfied with this one. Let's talk about the pros: the facilities are complete, with free snacks and drinks, good Wi-Fi, and a TV that supports screen mirroring. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries are the popular Anaya brand, which has a very soothing scent. The shower pressure is excellent, and the guesthouse is very quiet at night. The environment is absolutely beautiful, and the service is also great. They actively greet guests and help with luggage, and even drive you to the parking lot after check-out. If you have any issues, you can contact the butler via WeChat, and they respond promptly and are very accommodating. Now for the cons: the guesthouse's location is a double-edged sword. Getting in and out by car can be quite congested. There are hardly any good restaurants near the surrounding attractions, so you'll need to drive a few kilometers for meals. Breakfast can get crowded and a bit chaotic. The hotel's entertainment facilities are quite limited, with only a small pool suitable for children and a coffee bar. Overall, I was still very satisfied and would recommend it.

I frequently stay at HUAZHU Group hotels, but this one truly offered a unique experience. The service was exceptionally thoughtful and personalized, especially the laundry service. They completely dried my clothes and even delivered them to my room. The hotel's environment and quality are top-notch. They offer free parking in a spacious lot, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. This stay was simply perfect! The breakfast was also fantastic, rivaling that of a five-star hotel. It's rare to find such a wide variety of seafood at a hotel breakfast of this caliber. Plus, they provide complimentary beer in the room. This hotel is just perfect, I loved it!

The kids absolutely loved the room, we booked the bunk beds and it was so cozy and perfect for a family with children, offering good privacy too! The hotel's location is fantastic; just across the road is the beach, and there's a foot-washing station downstairs. Torch 8th Street is right next door, which is super convenient. Since it gets crowded during the day, I went out at 5 AM to take photos, then came back up to sleep – that's the advantage of being so close, hehe 😁. Just a small suggestion though, maybe a thin mattress pad for the bunk beds? They're a bit hard now; even those who prefer firm beds found them a little too hard, hahahaha. Everything else was great! Because it's next to Torch 8th Street, it's bound to be busy. For parking, there are public spots right outside, just park wherever there's space. Usually, after 11 PM, there are plenty of empty spots on the street.

This hotel truly stands out as the best choice for a sea view near Weihai Torch Eight Street! You can enjoy a fantastic ocean view just by dining in the restaurant. The hotel has an exclusive beach access and is right next to a popular sunset photo spot and the Jinhaiwan trestle bridge. The hotel's environment and service were also great. Plus, since we traveled during the off-peak season, our stay was wonderful! The breakfast, especially, was really delightful. When we checked out on the morning of May 7th, two staff members on duty warmly recommended some attractions in Weihai to us.👍

The room was quite clean, and the balcony offered sea views perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. I'd definitely recommend booking a room with a balcony; it's so relaxing to sit out there in the evening, enjoying a drink and some late-night snacks. Torch Eight Street is just to the left when you leave the hotel, and to the right is Shandalian Night Market (which I found better than Hanlefang). Even at night, with the balcony door closed, it wasn't noisy at all and the soundproofing was good. Getting around Weihai isn't super convenient, so we ended up renting various cars.

The guesthouse exceeded my expectations. The natural light was fantastic, and opening the window revealed a beautiful sea view. The hygiene was impeccable, and the room was spacious. The host was friendly and always responded promptly to any questions. Staying here made my trip very relaxing. Highly recommended.

The room has a superb sea view and is conveniently located close to the university (the purpose of my visit) with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is very large and pleasant to use for a solo traveler, with a proper deck to do some work and a confortable mattress. It also comes with a washing machine (a pleasant surprise), a fridge and a microwave. My only minor complaints about the room are: - it has all the essentials but not any ”nice to have”. A few glasses (not paper ones) and or kitchenware would be nice to make good use of the kitchen. Likewise, providing one or two doses of washing powder would be convenient to use the washing machine. - the temperature of the hot water is inconsistent: after setting the temperature to something I liked, it kept fluctuating from warmer to fresher - some amenities are a bit old and start to show their age with some small stains on the lower. However, given the price this is an extremely good value for money.

Out of all my recent trips, this one with a few friends staying at the Ladder was pretty good. The room size wasn't too small, the shower had hot water instantly, and the hairdryer was decent. The self-service washer-dryer (bring your own detergent) was incredibly useful – perfect for drying wet clothes after being at the beach. It's also very close to the beach, and convenient for going out shopping or getting snacks. The staff were all very friendly. If we had any issues, we'd just talk to the front desk. For a seaside vacation, I'm quite satisfied with these conditions. Friends looking to stay in the area should definitely consider it!
